Formula 1 is back, Miami. What to know about the Miami Grand Prix
Along the Florida Turnpike this weekend, aggressive drivers will risk their lives to get the slightest edge against everyone else on the road.
But this isn't your everyday rush hour.
Why it matters: The Formula 1 Miami Grand Prix returns to Hard Rock Stadium Friday for three days of legally sanctioned high-speed racing.
Here's your guide to the action
How it works: Twenty drivers from 10 teams will race around the stadium, hitting speeds of nearly 200 mph.
The main race is Sunday afternoon ( 📺 4pm on ABC) but the drivers will compete in a shorter Sprint race Saturday.
You can also buy single-day tickets for F1 practice and qualifying sessions on Friday and Saturday.
The Grand Prix coincides with on-track action from all-female F1 Academy and the Porsche Carrera Cup North America.
Full race weekend schedule
Martin's pro tip: The Miami Grand Prix is expensive, but Friday single-day grandstand tickets ($70+) are a great value with the addition of F1 Sprint race qualifying.
By comparison, the cheapest tickets for Saturday and Sunday start at $220 and $500, respectively.
Getting there: Paid parking is available, but I always opt for ridesharing and/or the free shuttles.
What you should bring: A hat. Sunscreen (non-spray only). A small or clear bag. A sealed water bottle or clear, plastic reusable bottle. See prohibited items.
Star power: Thanks to Netflix's docu-series "Drive to Survive," F1 drivers are basically reality TV stars and their races are regularly attended by celebrities.
The Miami GP takes that to the next level, with everyone from Bad Bunny to Shakira and Tom Cruise dropping by.
⚡ State of play: This has been the most competitive F1 season since 2021.

File Photo by Jim Ruymen/UPI | License Photo June 10 (UPI) -- ABC is announcing the cast of Bachelor in Paradise Season 10. Dale Moss, who became engaged to Season 16 Bachelorette Clare Crawley, is among the singles looking for love in Costa Rica. "I'm really head down with travel and work and projects and things like that," he told Us Weekly. "But I definitely realized that there's more out there and sometimes you have to remove yourself from certain situations to get more clarity on that." A reel featuring the incoming singles was posted to the reality television show's official Instagram account Tuesday. "I may have caught footballs for a living, but catching hearts -- that's a natural talent," Moss says in that clip. The series follows "fan favorites from The Bachelor franchise" as they mingle and date one another. Other cast members include Jeremy Simon, Jonathan Johnson, Alexe-Anne Godin, Bailey Brown, Brian Autz, Hakeem Moulton, Jessica Edwards, Justin Glaze, Katherine Izzo, Kyle Howard, Lexi Young, Riquerdy Marinez, Sam McKinney, Spencer Conley and Zoe McGrady. Season 10 arrives on ABC July 7.
