‘NYT Mini' Clues And Answers For Monday, April 28
Mini Crossword
NYT
If you're looking for the answers for the NYT Mini Saturday, April 26 puzzle, those are here:
The NYT Mini is a quick and dirty version of the newspaper's larger and long-running crossword. Most days, there are between three and five clues in each direction on a five by five grid, but the puzzles are sometimes larger, especially on Saturdays.
Unlike its larger sibling, the NYT Mini crossword is free to play on the New York Times website or NYT Games app. However, you'll need an NYT Games subscription to access previous puzzles in the archives.
The NYT Mini is a fun daily distraction that usually takes no time at all. I try to beat the standard weekday grid in less than a minute. But sometimes I can't quite figure out one or two clues and need to reveal the answer.
To help you avoid doing that, here are the NYT Mini Crossword answers (spoilers lie ahead, of course):
ACROSS
1) Chef's creation - DISH5) Iconic Madonna hit of 1990 - VOGUE6) Section of a tennis court used when playing doubles - ALLEY7) State of mind - MOOD8) Not amateur - PRO
DOWN
1) Rarely-used word meaning "sadness" - DOLOR2) Snow place like home? - IGLOO3) Went after in court - SUED4) "Yo" - HEY5) Fill time on stage - VAMP
Mini
NYT
Decently tough puzzle today with probably the most random word I've ever heard, Dolor, to the point where I had to look up the exact definition which is:
A state of great sorrow or distress. "they squatted, hunched in their habitual dolor."
That's some Dostoevsky stuff right there. Nothing else compares to that in this puzzle as you're going to know one of Madonna's biggest hits because 'Like a Virgin' sure doesn't fit in these spaces.
Follow me on Twitter, YouTube, Bluesky and Instagram.
Pick up my sci-fi novels the Herokiller series and The Earthborn Trilogy.

Looking for help with today's NYT Mini Crossword puzzle? Here are some hints and answers for the ... More puzzle. In case you missed Saturday's NYT Mini Crossword puzzle, you can find the answers here: It's not quite Sunday yet, but the New York Times releases its Sunday crossword puzzles on Saturday afternoon, so here we are. It's a bite-sized Mini Crossword we have to solve today, but not without its more challenging words. Let's take a crack at it, shall we? The NYT Mini is a smaller, quicker, more digestible, bite-sized version of the larger and more challenging NYT Crossword, and unlike its larger sibling, it's free-to-play without a subscription to The New York Times. You can play it on the web or the app, though you'll need the app to tackle the archive. Spoilers ahead! Across 1A. Org. with shooting stars — NBA 4A. Buildings with weather vanes, stereotypically — BARNS 6A. Swiss watch brand — OMEGA 7A. What Santa, Gandalf and Dumbledore each have — BEARD 8A. Pie in the ___ — SKY Down 1D. "I'm bad with ___" (party excuse) — NAMES 2D. Start of a billiards game — BREAK 3D. Seeing red — ANGRY 4D. Timothée's role in "A Complete Unknown" — DYLAN 5D. Feeling blue — SAD Here are all the words on the grid: Today's Mini Crossword I wasn't sure about 1-Across so I skipped ahead and knocked out a few more obvious ones like 5-Down (SAD) and 4-Down (BOB) and then filled in 2 and 3 DOWN and 8 Across, which basically left me with 1 Down and a couple letters missing from a couple Across words. Once I plugged these in, the puzzle was done. Easy peasy! This one took me 1:02. How did you do? Let me know on Twitter, Instagram or Facebook. If you also play Wordle, I write guides about that as well. You can find those and all my TV guides, reviews and much more here on my blog. Thanks for reading!

NYT ‘Strands' Today: Hints, Spangram And Answers For Sunday, June 8th
Today's NYT Strands hints and answers Credit: New York Times Looking for Saturday's Strands hints, spangram and answers? You can find them here: Another day, another Strands puzzle for us to solve. We have words to uncover and a great big lazy Sunday to enjoy, so let's get right down to business. Strands is the newest game in the New York Times' stable of puzzle games. It's a fun twist on classic word search games. Every day we're given a new theme and then tasked with uncovering all the words on the grid that fit that theme, including a spangram that spans two sides of the board. One of these words is the spangram which crosses from one side of the grid to another and reveals even more about the day's theme. Spoilers ahead. Read on for today's theme and some hints to help you uncover today's words. Instead of giving you the first two letters of each word, today I'm giving out three hints instead of two. Today's Theme: On Broadway Hint: Parts of a play. Clue: Like the director or the stage. Here are the first two letters of each of today's words: Remember, spoilers ahead! Today's spangram is: ITSSHOWTIME Here's the full list of words: Here's the completed Strands grid: Today's Strands Screenshot: Erik Kain I think my brain is just not working properly when it comes to word-finding these days. I took my sweet time with this one, finding all kinds of words that had nothing to do with the them, and only sometimes finding words that would actually lead to a word—like SING leading to SINGING eventually. Thankfully, once I had that I found CAST and SCORE and then the spangram ITSSHOWTIME appeared. With the left side of the board done, I was able to scrape out the last three: LIGHTS, DANCING and finally COSTUMES to wrap things up. How did you do on your Strands today? Let me know on Twitter and Facebook. Be sure to check out my blog for my daily Wordle guides as well as all my other writing about TV shows, streaming guides, movie reviews, video game coverage and much more. Thanks for stopping by!
