In January this year, it was announced that former I'm A Celebrity campmate Sue Cleaver, 61, will leave Coronation Street.
After 25 years, she will depart the serial drama and leave her role as Eileen Grimshaw behind.
As part of her exit storyline, Ryan Thomas, 40, will reprise his rol e as her on-screen son Jason Grimshaw.
He will cause trouble on the street as he flirts with Danielle Silverton (Natalie Anderson).
She is the estranged wife of Theo Silverton (James Cartwright) who of course had an illicit affair with his brother Todd (Gareth Pierce).
However, spoilers also hint that Eileen's partner George Shuttleworth (Tony Maudsley) could also be departing the show.
On the ITV serial drama, Eileen will contemplate her entire future as she is even left questioning her relationship.
He is set to get down on one knee and pop the question to her, but in awkward scenes Elineen does not seem as keen as he thought.
Meanwhile, Jason has set up a business in Thailand and he wants his mother to join him and move abroad.
Eileen will be extremely tempted by her son's offer as he asks her to be his new partner in the business.
Relive some of Ryan Thomas' classic moments as Jason Grimshaw - a role he has played in Coronation Street since 2000
When he mentions George, Eileen thinks that he would not want to go across the world with her.
But, George is keen to prove Eileen wrong when word gets back to him, and he will make a huge gesture.
He will book a holiday as a test run as he offers to leave Weatherfield with her and her son.
However, will Eileen stay with George as she prepares to leave the street she has called home for 25 years?
Coronation Street's 2024 shock exits
Corrie has said goodbye to several cast members this year. Let's break down who's left the famous soap:
Eliza Woodrow (Savannah Kunyo) has said farewell to Corrie to start a new life in Germany.
The youngster moved to live with her dad Dom Everett, who went back on the £10,000 bribe Eliza's grandfather Stu had offered to keep him out of her life.
Paul Foreman (Peter Ash) will bow out of the soap this summer when he loses his fight with motor neurone disease (MND) in tragic scenes.
After being diagnosed last year, the fan favourite was devastated to learn he only had months left to live.
Viewers know he is planning to take his own life to end his suffering.
Summer Spellman (Harriet Bibby) departed the cobbles after being offered the opportunity of a lifetime to study in America.
Though she struggled to decide with her stepdad Paul's impending death from MND, she was convinced she had to live her life to the full.
Simon Barlow (Alex Bain) has struggled with the sudden departure of his father Peter from the cobbles.
The Weatherfield legend left his family and loved ones behind on Boxing Day, 2023, when his wife Carla Connor encouraged him to travel around the world with a friend.
Simon's been on a downward spiral ever since and his exit could end in tragedy.
Alya Nazir is set to leave the cobbles as actress Sair Khan prepares to go on maternity leave ahead of the birth of her first child.
It looks likely she'll be heading to Dublin after securing a lucrative new job, leaving her colleague and fling Adam Barlow behind.
Show stalwart Sue Cleaver, who plays Eileen Grimshaw, is taking a break to star in the Sister Act The Musical UK tour. She will be back filming in May once her dates on the tour come to an end.
Her character left the Street after her son Jason broke his back after falling off a moped in Asia.
Will there be a sad split or will George be leaving the show with Eileen?
Meanwhile, Sue admitted that she feels that the storyline is the perfect send off for her iconic character.
Speaking about her forthcoming departure, she explained: "I said very much that I would like her to go off to pastures new, you know, to kind of mirror what I'm doing in a sense.
"And I just think it's time for a change. So it was perfect."
It was just so nice to have him [Ryan Thomas] back and filming those final scenes with him.

She added to The Mirror: "I'm so happy with the ending, and I was so humbled by it and the way it had been written and what it is.
"I felt very grateful to have such a wonderful ending written. It seemed very, very apt."
The actress also admitted that she wanted Ryan Thomas to come back for her exit.
Sue told the outlet: "When I decided to leave, like over a year ago, I rang Ryan, and I said, 'Ryan, I'm going to tell them that I'm going, and if they ask me about exits, I'd really like to say that you'd come back and take me out, but I don't know whether they'd go for it or not'.
"And he just went, 'Oh my gosh, of course, I would', which was so lovely for me.
She added: "It was just so nice to have him back and filming those final scenes with him. It just felt like I'd come full circle really."

Peter Andre's strict rules for daughter Princess revealed amid Katie Price feud
Peter Andre has been praising his daughter's hard work on the four-part series and recently said he was 'strict' about what she could include in the show Peter Andre had a string of strict rules for his daughter daughter, Princess, who he shares with Katie Price, as she filmed her documentary series. Princess currently stars in her own ITV series, titled The Princess Diaries, where she gives fans a glimpse into her life in the spotlight and her childhood in the spotlight. Katie claimed she was banned from participating in the reality series, and the former glamour model shared her complaints on her podcast. Meanwhile, Peter has been praising his daughter's hard work on the four-part series and recently said he was 'strict' about what she could include in the series. In a recent chat, Peter said it was tough for him 'to cut that umbilical cord at 18' as he discussed his daughter becoming more independent as she turned 18. It comes as Princess Andre explains why she's not called her mum amid alleged 'feud'. Princess Andre explains why she's not called her mum amid alleged 'feud' "I was very strict about what she wasn't allowed to, you know, I didn't want didn't really want her doing a lot of stuff before she got to the age that she can do it herself," he tole the MailOnline. "I'm really proud of her. I think she's a really sweet person and I really hope people see that of her and I just want her to shine and, you know, I want her to just go on and just become her own little true gem." Peter also admitted he had struggled with 'letting go of the reigns' as Princess is still his 'baby'. He added: "They still say things that they've said when they were 10 or 1, like, they might be grown up in actual age, but they're still your baby." It comes after Peter slammed Katie on Instagram in a statement that read, "For 16 years, I have stayed silent in the face of repeated lies from my ex-wife and her family, out of respect for my children and loved ones, but staying silent has been incredibly frustrating. That ends today. "The latest comments about my children's welfare and living arrangements compel me to set the record straight. For well-documented reasons, and for their safety, Junior and Princess came into my care in 2018 and remained with me until they reached adulthood. "In 2019, the family courts issued a legally binding order to enforce this arrangement. I have never made this public before, out of respect for my children. Unfortunately there are many more lies and baseless accusations I have yet to address. Those will now be dealt with in the coming months." Katie subsequently responded with a post that read, 'I know I will always be seen as a sinner. That's fair. I allowed myself to fall into a reliance on drugs and alcohol. At times I was not the mother I should have been while I struggled with mental illness. 'I have been at times a poor friend, an awful sibling, and an untrustworthy partner. I've self-medicated, been unfaithful, damaged myself and those that I love.' Not long after, Katie's ex-husband, Alex Reid leaked footage of her waving a wad of cash while bankrupt. She tells her and Peter's daughter, Princess, that her younger siblings, Pete's children with his wife Emily, were "irrelevant." Katie can be seen counting cash in the video, before asking her daughter whether singer Peter "go on about" her bankruptcy and finances "a lot". Peter was 'shocked' by the contents of the video, with a source telling the Mirror: "He's so shocked that she would do this in front of their young child and saying his young children are irrelevant. It's not about the money. How could a mother do that about young children?"
