‘Thursday Murder Club' Trailer Is ‘Only Murders' in the Retirement Home

It's 'Only Murders in the Retirement Home' in the new trailer for The Thursday Murder Club, a murder mystery heading to Netflix later this month. The film, based on the bestselling Richard Osman novel, stars Helen Mirren, Pierce Brosnan, Ben Kingsley, and Celia Imrie as four sunsetters who investigate cold cases for fun. However, like the acclaimed Hulu show Only Murders in the Building, their passion for true crime hobby turns into an actual murder investigation. 'There's a wonderful mystery at its core, so mystery fans will be very happy,' Columbus told Tudum of the film. 'But thematically it's interesting that we've got four elderly people who are living in a retirement community and who are fascinated by death and murder. They are facing their own demise, yet at the same time, they are obsessed with studying cold cases. I fell in love thematically with that. It's comedic, but it's also very emotional.' Reviewers Over 50 Swear By These 30 Beauty Products (And You Probably Will Too)

A tub of brightening, firming, and rejuvenating eye cream so you look vibrant and well-rested. A teeth-whitening pen that'll be a heck of a lot quicker (and taste a lot better) than those irritating whitening strips that slip and slide all over your teeth. You can use each pen ~20 times and should expect your teeth to lighten four to eight shades. A beloved tightening cream because the 40,000+ reviewers who rated it 5 stars is all the proof you need. It's infused with caffeine, coconut oil, and guarana extract to firm, smooth, and add shimmer to the skin. Plus, the vanilla, salted caramel, and pistachio scent is better than any perfume out there. A moisturizing hair treatment for a quick burst of hydration. In just eight seconds — eight! — it starts working to leave your mane feeling silkier, softer, and smoother after washing. A nail concealer to subtly hide yellowing and staining on your nails. And on the topic of nails, a vegan nail-strengthening polish if you're at your wits' end due to your nails constantly chipping, peeling, and splitting. This clear or tinted formula is a low-maintenance way to fortify weak nails and can be used on its own or as a base coat. An anti-humidity spray so you can give humidity a metaphorical middle finger. This spray creates a waterproof coat around your hair that blocks out moisture (which eventually leads to frizziness). As if that wasn't already magical enough, this effect lasts up to 72 hours or through two to three shampoos! A peel-off lip stain that looks blue in the tube and on your lips. But fret not — it peels off easily and leaves behind a long-lasting flush of color that won't budge, smudge, or transfer. Sunday Riley Luna because it's a skincare hero you shouldn't sleep on — OK, actually, you're supposed to wear it overnight, but you know what I mean! It's a retinol oil designed to plump your skin, reduce redness and fine lines, and make your skin feel oh-so-soft. Or a pack of face wipes with retinol for simplifying your skincare routine. These makeup-removing wipes are gentle on the eyes, lips, and face, and they contain retinol, an ingredient that helps speed up the skin renewal process and increases collagen production. A powerful snail repair cream to brighten dull skin, fade discoloration, and add plumpness. Snail mucin extract is a popular ingredient in K-beauty products and is rich in hyaluronic acid (hydrates) and glycolic acid (stimulates collagen production). A fragrance-free texturizing powder if you could use some help in the volume department. Enjoy up to 48 hours — yep, two whole days of body and fullness — of results so marvelous you'll wonder what fairy they shook to harvest the magic dust needed to make this stuff. A medium-coverage Maybelline hydrating liquid foundation with hyaluronic acid and collagen, so you don't have to feel like you're caked in makeup when you want some extra coverage. Reviewers rave that this lightweight, breathable formula smooths out their complexion without settling into fine lines. Or a hydrating E.l.f. Cosmetics CC cream that'll give you a full-coverage, airbrushed look. It's also made with hydrating hyaluronic acid, as well as peptides and niacinamide to help balance your complexion. Or! A Laura Geller color-correcting powder foundation because sometimes you want a sweep-and-go product on those extra busy mornings as well as the days when you only need light coverage. A flat top foundation brush for expertly distributing your liquid foundations. Thanks to its dense bristles, this kabuki brush is designed to flawlessly sweep foundation over your skin instead of absorbing product like your beauty sponges. A box of pore-tightening, skin-lifting face masks to truly terrify you, first because you'll look like a zombie once you've applied it, and second because it's so darn effective at reducing the appearance of wrinkles. Embryolisse, a cult-favorite French moisturizing cream if you love getting your money's worth. It's designed to hydrate, protect, soothe, and nourish your skin. (It's been with you after all these years, so give it the pampering it deserves.) Makeup artists also use it as a primer, so consider this a 2-for-1 value purchase. A collagen-coating hair treatment that'll revitalize a mane that's dry, damaged, and overprocessed. Waking up with frizz-free hair? Umm, yes please! A cruelty-free lip balm because whoever you're locking lips with will definitely notice a difference. Or a Tatcha jelly lip mask for an overnight transformation. It's made with skin-softening squalane and Japanese peach to lock in moisture and restore plumpness to your pout. An easy-to-maneuver Maybelline eyebrow pencil to help fill in sparse spots if you overplucked your brows in your youth, and now you're paying the price. Or a L'Oreal brow mascara if you like your current brow situation but just want to tint the grays. This brow gel mousse comes with an angled wand (you can think of it like a tiny mascara wand) so you can coat each and every brow hair. A TikTok-famous moisturizing stick with results so darn magical you'll swear it came from a witch's cauldron. This all-over balm is perfect for on-the-go hydration and leaves the skin looking radiant and dewy. And reviewers sing its praises when it comes to helping reduce the appearance of wrinkles. A Verb hair oil that'll gift your hair with a weightless blend of moringa seed oil, bamboo extract, and argan oil that simultaneously moisturizes, strengthens, and adds shine while leaving behind a light, fresh scent (because no one needs to know this is third-day hair). A reviewer-beloved Panoxyl foaming wash because acne can strike at any age. This maximum-strength benzoyl peroxide cleanser kills acne-causing bacteria on your face, chest, and back while also lifting dirt and other pore-clogging yuckies that can lead to future breakouts. A K-beauty rice extract toner for achieving the glass skin look you're after. This milky toner is designed to soften and smooth skin while strengthening the skin barrier, which is super important if you want a glowy, radiant complexion. A super creamy L'Oreal Color Riche lipstick to convince you that, yes, there are lipsticks out there that won't feather and bleed. And it won't leave your lips feeling like a desert when you take it off in the evening! Or a Revlon liquid lipstick and gloss pen if you want a high-impact and high-shine lippie that can handle all the activities in your schedule. It's designed to last for up to 16 hours, and the top coat contains hydrating ingredients like vitamin E and chamomile. A crème to powder waterproof eyeshadow stick so you can enjoy a stay-all-day eyeshadow that won't fade or crease — because that isn't too much to ask for. One end is the eyeshadow stick, and the other is a built-in smudger, so you don't need any brushes to achieve your eye look. Plus, the formula is made with nourishing vitamin E and vitamin C.
