‘Thursday Murder Club' Trailer Is ‘Only Murders' in the Retirement Home
The film, based on the bestselling Richard Osman novel, stars Helen Mirren, Pierce Brosnan, Ben Kingsley, and Celia Imrie as four sunsetters who investigate cold cases for fun. However, like the acclaimed Hulu show Only Murders in the Building, their passion for true crime hobby turns into an actual murder investigation.

'When an unexplained death occurs on their own doorstep, their casual sleuthing takes a thrilling turn as they find themselves with a real whodunit on their hands,' the streaming service said in a synopsis.
An all-star British supporting cast, including Naomi Ackie, Daniel Mays, Henry Lloyd-Hughes, Tom Ellis, Jonathan Pryce, David Tennant, and Richard E. Grant, joins the four principal actors in The Thursday Murder Club, which was helmed by Home Alone director Chris Columbus.
'There's a wonderful mystery at its core, so mystery fans will be very happy,' Columbus told Tudum of the film. 'But thematically it's interesting that we've got four elderly people who are living in a retirement community and who are fascinated by death and murder. They are facing their own demise, yet at the same time, they are obsessed with studying cold cases. I fell in love thematically with that. It's comedic, but it's also very emotional.'
The Thursday Murder Club hits Netflix on August 28.

Binge Smarter: Use These Netflix Secret Codes to Find What You Really Want
If it feels like Netflix keeps showing you the same handful of titles, you're not imagining it. The recommendation algorithm often cycles through a familiar lineup, making even a huge library seem limited. But behind the usual menus is a little-known trick that can open the door to a much broader selection: Netflix's secret category codes. These codes sort the catalog into incredibly specific genres you won't find on the standard homepage. You can browse everything from cheesy '80s horror flicks to wholesome teen romances or fast-paced "short-ass movies" under 90 minutes. Once you start using them, the hunt for something new gets easier, and your watchlist gets a serious upgrade. If you're ready to break into the annals of Netflix and discover something even more exciting than what the service is showing you, then keep reading. For more, check out our favorite sci-fi movies on Netflix and learn how to share your favorite Netflix clips via text message or social media. What are Netflix secret category codes? Netflix codes are a set of unique numerical identifiers that can help you find specific genres or sub-genres in the Netflix library on the streamer's website (not the app). Typically, you're constrained to the genres available via the main Netflix menu. There's no way to choose by specific category other than what's been chosen for you when you log on. Using these codes opens up an entire library of options for you to choose from that can help you better settle on what to watch for the night. It can even help you discover shows and movies. Adding these codes to the ends of Netflix URLs lets you directly access collections of movies and TV shows that fall under your chosen category. For example, if you're short on time and want to queue up a shorter movie, you could check the 90-Minute Movies category with the code 81466194. Looking for something for your entire brood to enjoy? The "Family Movie Night" collection, accessed with code 2013975, is chock-full of favorites even Grandma can get into. There are more than 36,000 codes to choose from so don't worry about memorizing them or trying random sequences. Resources like have an entire directory to sift through so you can search for what you'd like to watch there and find corresponding codes in no time. The Netflix-Codes site has a full directory of all the available categories on Netflix. by CNET How do I find Netflix's secret menus of movies and shows? There's much more to Netflix than what you've been scrolling through. At last count, there were more than 36,000 unique categories to explore. The entirety of the categories available on Netflix starts with broad main genres like Action, Comedy and Drama, but they get more specific as you dive even deeper. People are expanding their 'families' to afford streaming subscriptions
Welcome back! Are you looking to infuse your diet with protein and fiber? One sports dietician shared the six meals she swears by for more energy and stronger muscles. On the agenda: Your phone can now tell you how fast you're aging. Men are ditching suits for loose pants and pricey tees in the RTO era. Would you spend over $5,000 to remove your under-eye bags? Sharon Stone reveals how Robert De Niro upset her on the "Casino" set. But first: Sharing is caring. If this was forwarded to you, sign up here. Download Business Insider's app here. This week's dispatch Welcome to friend socialism Would you care if your best friend saw what's in your Amazon cart — or what your neighbor is streaming on Netflix? Sharing subscription passwords with your family is one thing. But as subscription costs rise, Business Insider's senior correspondent Emily Stewart writes that more Americans are expanding the definition of "family" — to friends, neighbors, and even strangers. "The average US consumer pays for about five video subscriptions a month," Stewart writes. "So, people figure out all sorts of ways to game the system." One person told Business Insider she isn't afraid to share her Nintendo Switch Online subscription with absolute strangers she found on Reddit. Another said she's opting to share a phone plan with her roommate. "I was just like, we will literally save so much money if we just do this together," Nicole Nikolich told Business Insider. "It's been smooth sailing for years." While sharing passwords may have been a way for companies such as Netflix and Disney to hook people onto their services, they're now cracking down. Even HBO Max has warned customers: Users will "actually start to see some messaging" advising them to pay up, WBD streaming head JB Perrette said. Meanwhile, other companies such as AT&T seemingly couldn't care less how their customers use their family plans, as long as they're using them. A spokesperson for the company told Business Insider that families can "mean a lot of different things." AT&T even launched a new tool to help different people split payments more easily. Turns out it takes a village — or at least a good group chat — to afford subscription services these days. Your face as a medical device Have you ever wondered how fast you're aging? There's an app for that now. Harvard's "FaceAge" algorithm uses photos of your face to determine your biological age. FaceAge is an AI-assisted version of a practice doctors have been using for years: getting a quick visual, and then making inferences about how patients are doing. Scientists hope it could one day help physicians diagnose diseases earlier and treat patients better. We tried — and tricked — it. Welcome to the smart casual era As more companies call workers back into the office, men's workplace dress codes are changing. The stiff suit is no longer the norm; now, it's all about refined comfort. Looser silhouettes and even shorts have entered some offices. Some men are taking inspiration from TV shows like "The Bear." For suits, tailoring is key. Ditching your baggage Lower blepharoplasty (aka "bleph" on TikTok) is a cosmetic surgery that removes excess skin, fat, or muscle in the lower eyelid. Though the average patient is in their 50s or 60s, the procedure is gaining steam among those in their 20s and 30s. The surgery has become popular as interest in longer-lasting procedures rises. At $5,100 for what is generally a one-time operation, some patients find it a better deal than regular rounds of filler. Would you pay up for it?
