Perfect alongside a warm bowl of soup or as a stand alone snack, a toastie is a go-to dish for many of us especially on a colder day. While there are many ways to make this indulgent snack, it's likely most households have an old toasty machine lurking in the back of one of their kitchen cupboards.
While these devices do make a decent cheese toastie, they can sometimes be more hassle than they are worth as you need to wait for the machine to reach the correct temperature and also deal with the clean up afterwards.
For those looking for something more quick and easy to clean, we have found a nifty gadget in Amazon's Prime Day sale that can be put into the microwave and will cost a fraction of the price of a toastie machine.
The usually retails for £34.99, but shoppers can now grab it for only £18.99 as part of the Prime Day sale. At nearly 50 per cent off, this is the lowest price the handy gadget has been all year, reports Chronicle Live.
For those who want a crispy toastie, this gadget doesn't take being a head chef to work out. Simply create your preferred toastie and place it into the toastie maker. Once the lid is secured shut, the device can be popped into the microwave for a few minutes and voila - the perfect toastie.
Capable of making delicious paninis, bagels, toasties and more in under three minutes, many shoppers have praised this nifty gadget for the minimal amount of clean up it requires afterwards. With the added bonus of being dishwasher safe, it's ideal for students, days in the office or small kitchens.
Alternatively, Amazon has also dropped the price of the George Foreman Small Electric Fit Grill. Normally retailing for £29.99, bargain hunters can now grab it for £17.99 in the Prime Day sale. Said to boast a speedy heat-up time, shoppers will have their favourite foods in under six minutes after switching on the device.
Over on Lakeland, the retailer is selling the CRIMPiT Toastie Maker for £14.99. Said to make mess-free toasties in minutes, the machines will crimp the edges of your chosen bread together to seal the filling inside.
Back to the Morphy Richards Toastie Gadget, the device currently has a 4.5 star rating from over 4,500 Amazon shoppers. Many shoppers have praised the gadget for how well it makes a toastie, as well as being easy to clean.
One happy shopper said: "I used it straight away to check it out after reading some negative reviews. I have only made two cheese toasties each with grated cheese and a slice of raw tomato on top and it worked a treat both times. Eat your heart out George Foreman."
With another five-star reviewer adding: "I thought this was going to be another 'Instagram gadget fail' when I bought it, but it's an amazing find!
"It makes excellent toasted sarnies, really crisp outsides and piping hot insides. You might need to go through a couple of trial-and-error sandwiches to get the correct level of browning, but use the guide for the 900w microwaves and add 10-20secs or so for 800w like mine and you should be good to go."
However, a few shoppers weren't fully impressed by the device. One person wrote: "Much too small for toasty bread having to cut the bread to size. I found it annoying. Another item for the cupboard!"
With another adding on: "It works, but it's too messy for me. It's easier for me to clean a pan than clean this."
Despite this, one delighted customer claimed: "Best sandwich maker so easy to use makes them exactly like the ones you get in Costa etc."
With a sixth shopper adding: "I'm so pleased with this gadget. It's so quick to make delicious toasties and very easy to clean and takes up very little space in my small kitchen cupboards. The toasties look great & taste great, no sogginess or cold spots."
