Jet2 'very disappointed' by White House ICE video using viral sound

Jet2 have said that they don't endorse a video from the White House that uses their viral sound.
The airline have gone incredibly viral over the summer, with people sharing videos of their (good and bad) holiday experiences over an old ad for the airline, which has the line 'nothing beats a Jet2 holiday' while Jess Glynne's Hold My Hand plays in the background.
Taking to social media earlier this week, Donald Trump's White House shared a video of people being deported while the sound plays, captioning the video 'When ICE books you a one-way Jet2 holiday to deportation. Nothing beats it!' Jet2 have said that they don't endorse a video from the White House that uses their viral sound. Pic: Urbanandsport/NurPhoto via Getty Images
The video has been condemned by both Jess Glynne and the airline, with a Jet2 spokesperson saying that they don't endorse the sound being used in the video.
'Our branding has become something of a viral phenomenon this summer and we are pleased to see how many people have used it in good humour,' the spokesperson told PA. 'This has put a smile on many people's faces, just like our holidays do. We are of course aware of a post from the White House social media account.
'This is not endorsed by us in any way, and we are very disappointed to see our brand being used to promote government policy such as this.' Jess Glynne also slammed the video, saying that the viral sound was 'never about division or hate.' Pic: Neil Mockford/FilmMagic
Jess Glynne, whose song is also used in the sound, took to her Instagram story to slam the video; saying 'This post honestly makes me feel sick. My music is about love, unity, and spreading positivity – never about division or hate.'
The sound has been used in nearly 2million videos on TikTok over the summer, with the woman who told prospective passengers that they'll save £50 per person, Zoë Lister recreating the line during Chris Stark's DJ set at Newmarket Racecourse.
When the time came for the song to be played, Zoë made her appearance; telling the crowd that, indeed, nothing beats a Jet2 holiday to cheers. The woman behind the deal, Zoë Lister, has gone viral again after recreating it during a DJ set. Pic: Zoë Lister/TikTok
Zoë saw the fun in what is, admittedly, a fairly stupid meme; captioning the video 'I will never be over this! Thanks Chris for being stupid-joy initiator. Arena tour next?'
People loved that she was leaning into the meme, with one commenting 'we're so immature and I love it.'
'She's on tour more than Jess Glynne,' another joked, while another commented 'she's living her best life. Get her to Ibiza.'

I dreamed of working in the City but couldn't read or write – I got a job most people never think of & now drive a Tesla

Read on to see how Nicole bagged her dream job LIFE LESSONS I dreamed of working in the City but couldn't read or write – I got a job most people never think of & now drive a Tesla A WOMAN has revealed how she got a job in the city without any qualifications. Nicole Collings, from the UK, took to social media to share her story and how she bagged her dream job despite not knowing how to read or write. 3 Nicole revealed she still landed her dream job despite not being able to read or write Credit: tiktok/@nicoleisthisme/ 3 She ended up working in the City of London like she always dreamed of Credit: Getty 3 Now she can even afford her own Tesla Credit: Getty The mum said: "When I started my first job in London in the city I couldn't read or write." Nicole said she struggled with learning growing up but her mum always reassured her that she had 'good looks and common sense' which would get her far. She added: "She'd say, 'As long as you keep your wits about you Nic, and you always look the part, you'll be fine, you'll be fine, don't worry about it.'" Nicole said she never really improved her reading or writing skills and 'winged it' her whole life. But Nicole was determined to work and earn money so decided to work as a waitress despite dreams of working in the City of London. Determined to change her life, she went into her mum's back room and used the computer to create a CV that was 'really badly spelled.' With her CV in tow, Nicole got the train to Canary Wharf, bought herself a new outfit and leather handbag and started handing out her CV. "And there was me, walking around like I really knew what I was doing, but I didn't have a clue," she explained. She ended up in a recruitment agency and sat down with the branch manager as he went through her CV. "He was a bit bewildered. He couldn't actually believe the confidence that I had matching with the CV that looked like a five-year-old had made it," she explained. She was then asked to do a test, but she was honest with the manager and said she wouldn't pass while letting him know she was good on the phone and was happy to learn on the go. By the time she got to the station, he had called and offered her a job. "And that is how I started working in the city with literally not being able to read or write," she explained. "Basically the moral of the story is don't worry about what you haven't got. You are unique and you have got something. So fake it until you make it." Now Nicole is able to afford a 2023 Tesla worth £35,000 and goes on lavish holidays each year. The clip went viral on her TikTok account @nicoleisthisme with over 97k views and 7,000 likes. People were quick to praise Nicole in the comments. One person wrote: "Do you know what, you should be so incredibly proud of yourself! Truly." Another commented: "I love your confidence, you haven't just got where you are because you are pretty, you have a great personality and come across as a very lovable person." "Honey, intelligence isn't all about academia, it comes in all forms. Well done for all of your achievements," penned a third. Meanwhile a fourth said: "Well done. You should be super proud of yourself! Great video!" "What a story! You deserve every good thing that comes your way,' claimed a fifth Someone else added: "This is so inspiring."
