Man U @ Trafford Den, Under Armour Launch, LEGO Home & More: Dope Events We Hit Up This Week!

Another week, another whirlwind of totally EXTRA events! We were here, there and everywhere! We were on the scene and vibing like a boss! Just check out our social diary for this past week (don't be jelly!): Manchester United Roar With Tiger Beer @ The Trafford Den Kuala Lumpur transcended its status as a city for a week as it developed into a meeting place for aspirations and a living monument to ardour, pride, and steadfast devotion. The Trafford Den, a daring reimagining of what it means to be a Manchester United supporter in Malaysia, was made possible by Tiger Beer, the team's Official Beer Partner. The Trafford Den, located in the centre of Kuala Lumpur, was more than just a pop-up bar; it was the realisation of the Theatre of Dreams. It is a statement that Manchester United and its devoted supporters in Malaysia are not constrained by distance. Fans – Hype included – began flooding the venue on 24th May, taking in the sights and sounds of Old Trafford as it was brought to life in the centre of Kuala Lumpur. Stories filled the walls, jerseys were clad like armour, and cold Tiger Beer was poured in honour of something greater than a game: belief, identity, and belonging. Fans unleashed their tiger during this moment, and the spirit of audacity and passion was echoed in every cheer, roar, and shared Tiger Beer sip. Here's what went down at the event. Uniqlo x Anya Hindmarch Summer 2025 Collection Puts A Cheeky Smile & Grin On Clothes

Subscribe to our FREE Uniqlo brings a splash of British charm to Malaysia with the launch of the Uniqlo x Anya Hindmarch Summer 2025 'T-Shirt Shop' collection. This is the global apparel retailer's second time collaborating with the renowned British designer Anya Hindmarch, the previous collaboration being the Fall/Winter 2024 collection. The collection features Uniqlo's LifeWear philosophy of functionality and comfort, and Anya Hindmarch's playful stitching and her signature eye motifs. The combination results in a fun collection of T-shirts and tank tops featuring stitched eyes peeking out from corners or pockets and unique zigzag stitching. The 'T-Shirt Shop' collection is comprised of five codenamed T-Shirts. The women's lineup is made up of four styles: T1BOXY (Boxy T) – The Boxy T is a looser, boyfriend-style fit that's made in high-quality cotton that comfortably skims rather than clings to the body. The sleeves are slightly longer and looser than the Classic. The Boxy T pairs well with jeans. T2CLASSIC – The Classic is made from a lighter, softer cotton slub which gives a neat fitting and non-bulky look. The t-shirt sports a shorter sleeve and a slightly lower neckline, making it perfect as a gym t-shirt or daily wear. T3SLEEVELESS – The Sleeveless t-shirt is loose fitting and ideal under a jacket or on its own on warm days. It's also made out of high-quality cotton. T4TANK – The Tank features a fitted style made in ribbed cotton without too much cling. The shape is based on a menswear style with a slight racer back. It's also great to be worn in the gym, to sleep, or daily wear on hot days. KT1EASY – This collection of shirts are made for children so it's simply constructed and built for play. There are more fun details in this collection featuring different ''smiley'' faces peeking from the corner or top of pockets. While the other collections sport white, grey, and black colours, the KT1EASY comes in olive green as well. Square Pouch Additionally, the collection comes with a selection of Square Pouches with the iconic eyes. Available in large and small sizes, the pouches are washable and perfect as packing cubes. UK's Pop Mart halts in-store Labubu sales amid violence, staff threats and global resale frenzy

LONDON, May 24 — A retailer in the UK has suspended in-store sales of Labubu toys amid rising concerns over public safety and staff threats, following reports of global thefts and queue violence tied to the sought-after collectibles. The plush toys, resembling a rabbit-like monster, have surged in popularity after endorsements from celebrities such as Rihanna and Dua Lipa. Their limited availability has drawn buyers from abroad to the UK, with Pop Mart — the distributor of Labubu dolls — seeing overnight queues and chaotic scenes outside its flagship stores. 'This product, it has many, many fans from everywhere in the world and in some countries, it's not available for purchase, so there's many, many people who come to London just to purchase them,' Engie, a supervisor at Pop Mart in London, told AFP. 'People wait for hours queuing up in front of the store and it's so sad to see them be disappointed, because the resellers create a really difficult environment for them, or they get violent... and we have nothing left for them,' she added. She said the store had adopted a ticketing system to manage the crowds but that tensions had escalated. 'Some people even try to buy those (tickets) from other people... and if they don't sell it to them, they end up threatening them,' she said. 'They actually end up threatening us as staff... and that makes them get physical as well, trying to touch us.' Pop Mart confirmed the suspension of physical sales on Instagram, citing safety risks. 'While this speaks to the love and excitement surrounding Labubu and The Monsters, it's important for us to ensure a safe, fair, and comfortable shopping experience for everyone — both our customers and our store teams,' the company said. The frenzy has led to a wave of thefts and assaults internationally. In Singapore, CCTV footage captured a family stealing Labubu dolls from a claw machine, according to Singaporean online media outlet AsiaOne. In California, The Sun reported a car break-in in which three Labubu toys were taken. 'It's just not safe to take it outside at the moment,' said UK collector Rayy Raphael, 30, who noted prices had reached 500 pounds (RM2,855) for rare dolls. 'There's so many TikTok trends at the moment of, like, how people are getting punched,' he said. Another fan, 24-year-old Mia Mills, lamented how difficult it had become to find the toys. 'It's very rare they do have them,' she said. 'I've been collecting them for a long while now.' Pop Mart said online sales would continue and that it was working on a new distribution model to ensure fairness. — AFP
