The venues include the brand-new Olympic Stadium in Rabat, El Bachir Stadium in Mohammedia, Larbi Zaouli and Père Jégo Stadiums in Casablanca, the Honor Stadium in Oujda, and the Municipal Stadium in Berkane. These stadiums will host top African teams vying for the continent's most prestigious women's football trophy.
Rabat's Olympic Stadium, a major addition to Morocco's sports infrastructure, will stage six key matches, including the opening game between Morocco and Zambia and the tournament's grand final. Casablanca's Larbi Zaouli Stadium, the city's second-largest after Mohammed V Stadium, can accommodate 30,000 fans and will host six matches—group games, quarter-finals, a semi-final, and the third-place match.

Tanzania Coach: Facing Morocco in CHAN is Like Facing Their First Team
Rabat – Tanzania's local football team coach, Hamed Suleiman, has expressed confidence in his squad as they prepare to face Morocco in the quarter-finals of the African Nations Championship (CHAN 2024). The match will take place on Friday at the Benjamin Mkapa Stadium in Dar es Salaam. Speaking to the Confederation of African Football (CAF), Suleiman commended the Moroccan team, saying they play with the same mentality as the senior national team. 'For me, we are playing against Morocco's first team, not just the local side,' he said. Despite the challenge, the coach remains optimistic. ' We respect them, but we're not afraid. I know the Benjamin Mkapa Stadium will be full, because the Tanzanian people now believe in their team,' the coach said. This is a historic moment for Tanzania, as the team has reached the knockout stage of CHAN for the first time. Suleiman described it as a reward for his hard work and the determination of his players. 'Nobody believed we would go this far. I fought hard for these moments, I worked tirelessly, day and night. I'm the only one who believed in our ability to get out of the group stage,' the coach stated. The highly anticipated match is scheduled to kick off at 6 p.m. local time. Morocco, the two-time reigning CHAN champions (2018 and 2020), have shown their class in the group stage. They opened with an impressive 2-0 win over Angola, rebounded from a rare defeat to host Kenya, then claimed consecutive 3-1 victories, first against Zambia and then against DR Congo. Their performance earned them second place in Group A with nine points, just behind Kenya, setting up a high-stakes quarter-final against Tanzania. Tags: CHANMoroccoTanzania

Benjdida Joins Maghreb de Fes After Belgian Spell
Maghreb de Fes have completed the signing of striker Soufiane Benjdida as they continue to strengthen their squad in the summer transfer window. The Moroccan club confirmed the move on Wednesday, announcing that Benjdida has signed a contract until the end of the 2027-28 season. The 23-year-old joins from Belgian side RWD Molenbeek, where he played last season after a spell at Standard Liège. Benjdida is no stranger to Moroccan football, having previously featured in the Botola Pro with Raja Casablanca, where he built his reputation before moving abroad. Across the 2023/24 season, he made 25 appearances, scoring seven goals and providing one assist. In the last 2024/25 campaign, he has featured in 26 games, scoring three times and adding one assist. Maghreb de Fes hope his experience at both the Botola Pro and European level, combined with his steady scoring record, will bolster their attack ahead of the new campaign. El Khannouss Nears Crystal Palace Move
Leicester City midfielder Bilal El Khannouss is nearing a move to Crystal Palace, with a deal worth around $41m close to being agreed, according to Sky Sports. The 21-year-old has told Leicester of his desire to join Palace, who see him as a potential replacement for Eberechi Eze. Talks are progressing and there is broad agreement on the fee, but Palace are still weighing up their options before committing. Leicester, relegated last season, continue to operate under financial strain. They have already lost goalkeeper Mads Hermansen to West Ham this summer and could see further departures before the window closes. El Khannouss has been one of the few positives in a difficult period for the Foxes. He has played all three games this season across competitions, providing two assists in the opening-day win over Sheffield Wednesday. Palace are also monitoring Southampton's Tyler Dibling, but the 18-year-old would cost in excess of $58m, making El Khannouss a more realistic option. The Belgian-born Moroccan has been widely expected to leave Leicester following their relegation, and a move to Selhurst Park could offer him the prospect of European football. El Khannouss remains under contract at Leicester, but a switch to Palace would end a long-running transfer saga and bring much-needed funds to the Championship club.
