Ameiya, 13, and Ricardo Junior, 11, tragically drowned in holiday horror off the coast of Spain
The pair - affectionately known to their loved ones as Maya and Jubs - were swept away by fierce currents as their devastated dad watched on helplessly.
Despite desperate attempts by emergency crews, the siblings from Erdington, Birmingham, could not be saved.
Their aunt, Kayla Jasvinder Del-Brocco, revealed the heartbreaking moment the tragedy unfolded.
'They went out to swim together with their dad as they loved the beach,' she said.
'Mum said 'don't be long' and took her little one to the bathroom.
'She came back out and couldn't see anyone. That's when the nightmare commenced.'
Kayla described Ameiya as 'athletic, driven, motherly with her siblings, sarcastic and unique,' while calling Ricardo Junior 'kind, loving and helpful.'
'He wanted to be a YouTuber and would do anything for a few quid. He doted on his mum,' she added.

A GoFundMe page has been launched to support the grieving family, set up by cousin Holly Marquis-Johnson to cover the costs of repatriation and funerals.
Holly wrote: 'During what was meant to be a joyful family holiday in Salou, Spain, Ameiya and Ricardo Junior, lovingly known to their family and friends as Maya and Jubs, heartbreakingly lost their lives in a tragic incident at sea.
'Two beautiful, bright, and deeply loved children, taken far too soon. The pain their family is feeling is unimaginable.
'This fundraiser has been created to help ease some of the financial burden the family is now facing, covering the costs of bringing Maya and Jubs home to the UK and giving them the dignified farewell they deserve.
'We know that no amount of money can make this right. But together, we can help carry some of the weight.'

Strictly Come Dancing's Wynne Evans splits from fiancée weeks after proposing
Strictly Come Dancing star Wynne Evans has called it quits with his fiancée Liz Brookes, just weeks after popping the question in a dreamy Moroccan getaway. The famed Welsh tenor raised eyebrows during a Facebook Live session this morning, suggesting his romance was "not healthy" and revealing he's already dipping his toes back into the dating pool. Rumours about the couple's split started swirling last month when eagle-eyed followers noticed Wynne had removed his engagement announcement from Instagram and stopped following Liz. It now seems the couple have permanently parted ways. Sources close to the Daily Mail divulged that Wynne's packed schedule, juggling the launch of his new restaurant in Carmarthen and launching a radio show from the same location, sparked the split. Wynne Evans proposing to Liz Brookes (Image: Instagram/wynneevans) An insider revealed: "Wynne and Liz broke off their engagement a few weeks ago. The pressure of his new business ventures took its toll and they had a big fallout. Initially, there was a belief they would get back together when the ill-feeling died down, as they had split before and managed to patch things up." "But with Wynne actively trying to date again and going public describing the relationship as 'not healthy', it's safe to say they've split for good this time." Representatives for Wynne Evans have been approached by The Mirror for a statement. Liz, a successful events company boss from Wales, first crossed paths with Wynne in 2024 when he was booked to perform at one of her corporate gigs, reports the Mirror. Throughout his stint on Strictly, she was a fixture in the audience, frequently seen rooting for him and posting words of encouragement online. Wynne has openly credited Liz for inspiring his fitness journey prior to his BBC stint, admitting on a podcast: "I go out running with my girlfriend and stuff and I feel much better for it". The couple's engagement was announced by Wynne in June via Instagram, where he shared snaps of the proposal, including a glimpse of Liz's sparkling ring. His caption read: "Big news... I got engaged! This weekend in Morocco, somewhere between the couscous, the camels, and me limping around the souks like a man with no spatial awareness, I proposed to Liz - and she said yes! (No take-backs, I've checked.)". Wynne Evans on Strictly (Image: PA) He gushed about his fiancée, saying: "She's clever, she's kind, she's got excellent taste in men. Absolutely no idea how I pulled that off, but here we are! Feeling very lucky, very happy, and just a tiny bit smug." The split comes amidst a challenging year for the Go Compare icon, who was axed by the BBC earlier this year following a contentious "spit roast" remark made during the Strictly live tour. Wynne later clarified that the comment was aimed at fellow contestant Jamie Borthwick, not presenter Janette Manrara as initially reported, but he stated he was compelled to apologise and has subsequently severed ties with BBC Radio Wales. He's since debuted his own online radio programme and launched a wine bar and eatery named Welsh House by Wynne, where he's pledged to feature MasterChef-inspired dishes in homage to his stint on the cooking show. Chilling rise of ‘psycho' cats – domestic pets crossed with wild animals bought online & now prowling UK streets
THERE'S a rise in Brits adopting "psycho" hybrid cats described as unsuitable pets - with armed cops even called in to retrieve one. Savannah cats are the result of breeding wild African servals with domestic moggies - and a special Dangerous Wild Animal Licence (DWA) is needed to own first generation crosses (F1) of the "breed". 6 A savannah cat that was on the loose in Hampstead in 2020 Credit: SWNS 6 Worried neighbours had called cops after spotting the 'big cat' 6 Armed cops in Hampstead retrieved the cat It comes after Celebs and influencers, including Justin Bieber, are among those to have owned savannah cats - but experts warn they can be a major risk, especially to other pets. Bieber's wife Hailey described his two savannah's as "pyscho". Armed police were called in 2020 to affluent Billionaire's Row in Hampstead, London, when READ MORE NEWS The latest Government data shows at least 30 F1 versions of the species are being kept in the UK - but many more later generation examples are currently on these shores, with numbers rising. F1s can cost as much as £20,000 - but sites like Pets4Homes list non-first generation savannah kitten litters for sale for as little as £200 each. Chris Lewis, captivity research manager for Born Free, told The Sun people should not be fooled, and it's impossible to remove the wild genes and instincts in just one or two generations. He said: 'I would strongly advise against anyone wanting to purchase a savannah cat. Most read in The Sun 'They're considered to be a step up from your common domestic cat, because they're bigger, they're quite striking in appearance and have featured in a number of online videos with influencers or celebrities. 'So they are considered to be a fashionable pet, I guess." Pet dog runs on court to celebrate as Emma Raducanu is beaten by Anna Kalinskaya in Washington He continued: 'Once you get into the second generation of Savannah cats, you then don't need a license anymore, which I think helps with their appeal and also that raises questions as to whether that's even appropriate because you have this animal, which is only two generations away from its wild parents, and you suddenly don't need a license for it yet… 'It is quite bizarre, almost a bit of a loophole with the licensing.' Chris said he would encourage people to remember that the domestication of cats and dogs occurred over the thousands of years over multiple generations. 'To assume that an animal after just two generations is suitable and capable of being kept adequately in a domestic environment within the UK is perhaps not appropriate, not advisable,' he continued. 'And any hybridisation of two species which are so noticeably different because the breeding of a domestic cat and a wild cat can be filled with welfare issues for the animals involved." Savannah's are not simply high maintenance, they are different animals from domestic cats - described as energetically hardwired, they are often accused of terrorising neighbourhood pets when allowed to roam. RSPCA scientific officer Evangeline Button told 'Providing an environment that meets the needs of these large animals is likely to prove extremely difficult, particularly in the average family home. "Animals should only be kept in captivity if good welfare can be assured.' 6 Savannah kittens can be bought online for a few hundred pounds 6 Savannahs are a mix of wild servals (pictured) and domestic cats Credit: Alamy 6 Justin Bieber has previously owned savannah cats Credit: Instagram
