On Camera, Chilling Moment Woman Admitted To Killing Her Baby 30 Years Ago
A New York woman calmly confessed to burning and strangling her baby boy in an Albany park about 30 years ago.
A video, from the time of her interrogation in September 2024, shows the startling moment Keri Mazzuca, 52, confessed to killing her newborn son in 1997. She placed his body in a burnt cloth in a flowerbed close to the Moses statue in Albany, New York.
A Freedom of Information Law request led to the release of the police interview. Mazzuca was charged with manslaughter in April 2025.
The woman was interrogated last year over the death of "Baby Moses" after DNA testing on the baby's remains led investigators to her, News10 reported.
Mazzuca provided a sample for the technology, which was reportedly used to apprehend Joseph James DeAngelo, the Golden State Killer, and Rex Heuermann, the alleged Gilgo Beach serial killer, The New York Post reported.
According to the footage provided by the Albany County District Attorney's Office, Mazzuca confessed with apparent casual indifference after being shown a graphic image of the newborn's burned remains.
She denied setting Baby Moses on fire, saying the infant had died in the bathtub during childbirth and that she had given the body to a "random person" at the park after placing it in a bag.
Mazzuca calmly told the officer, "I did it," before trying to defend her horrible action when she was in her mid-twenties.
"I got pregnant. I gave birth to the baby. The baby died after I gave birth in my bathtub. I was not sure of how to get rid of it," she told the cops, still not showing any remorse.
Detectives told Mazzuca that her story did not add up and that an autopsy revealed Baby Moses had not died of natural causes.
"I was unsure about what to do," Mazzuca calmly acknowledged, before adding, "I set the baby on fire. It was dead."
Mazzuca was arrested in September 2024, 27 years after the child's death, based on DNA evidence.
Judge Roger McDonough of Albany County Court sentenced Keri Mazzuca of Altamont to 25 years in jail for her role in the murder of her newborn son.She entered a guilty plea in February.
She also received a sentence for interfering with physical evidence, beginning simultaneously with the manslaughter accusation. After her release, she will also be on probation for five years.

Shawn Ryan Grell, 50, was serving a life sentence until he died on April 19 at ASPC-Tucson facility. He then reportedly drove to an isolated desert region in east Mesa, where he laid his daughter down and set her on fire. Kristen woke up, staggered 10 feet through the flames, then fell to the ground, and died, as per reports. Having murdered his daughter, Grell proceeded to a local convenience store to purchase alcohol. He further informed the shopkeeper that he had witnessed some youngsters burning a dog in an empty lot. Grell later contacted the police and turned himself in. At a press conference early the next morning, he subsequently admitted to the murder. "I took the gasoline and I poured it on her. I took the match and threw it on her," he admitted in a recorded interview to investigators. Grell was given the death penalty in 2001 after being found guilty of first-degree murder and burglary. The court ruled the senseless killing was carried out in an "especially heinous, cruel, and depraved manner." That was reversed in 2013 when the Arizona Supreme Court unanimously decided that his death sentence was "cruel and unusual punishment." The court declared that Grell had mental retardation, and his death sentence was revoked. He received a life sentence in prison until he died in prison in April.

Kansas man arrested for dragging American Airlines flight attendant up the aisle mid-air, faces up to 20 years in jail
A 24-year-old man from Kansas has been arrested for assaulting an American Airlines flight attendant on board, reports quoting prosecutors have said. According to a report by The New York Post, the man, identified as Julius Jordan Priester assaulted the flight attendant after ripping off his shirt. He allegedly threw the employee to the ground and dragged them up the aisle, as per the report quoting prosecutors. Priester, a 24-year-old resident of Wichita, boarded the American Airlines flight from Bradley International Airport in Hartford, Connecticut. The Department of Justice said he was arrested and charged for assaulting the cabin crew member. The incident happened at around 10 pm when the Chicago-bound flight was mid-air, The Post reported, resulting in chaos. 'Thirty minutes to an hour into the flight, Priester stood up, began to take off his shirt, then ran to the back of the plane yelling 'Help me,'' United States Attorney for the District of Connecticut David Sullivan was quoted as saying. Priester then grabbed the victim who was seated, forcefully bringing them to the ground. 'He then grabbed a flight attendant ('the victim'), who was seated, shouted, 'You're coming with me,' and forcefully brought the victim to the ground,' Sullivan said. The attacker tried to drag the cabin crew member up the aisle but was stopped by passengers who rushed to save the employee. Sullivan's office further added that Priester continued to shout incoherent comments even after passengers helped him get seated. American Airlines issued a statement regarding the matter, lauding its cabin crew members for their assistance. 'We do not tolerate violence, and we thank our team members for their professionalism and our customers for their assistance,' it said. However, the incident forced the pilot to divert the plane back to Bradley after the captain declared an emergency. Following the safe touchdown of the flight, Connecticut State Police arrived onboard to arrest Priester, who was then taken to a hospital for evaluation. Prosecutors have also revealed that Priester already has a criminal history in Kansas, with charges including that of an aggravated assault. He is currently in police custody and will be produced at the court soon. Priester can face imprisonment for up to 20 years with charges of interfering with flight crew members and attendants. The condition of the affected flight attendant has not been revealed.

On Tuesday, another former Sean Combs assistant testified that the music mogul frequently threatened her and once abducted her out of jealousy over his ex-girlfriend, Casandra Ventura. Capricorn Clark, the assistant, claimed that after finding out that Ms Ventura was dating the rapper Kid Cudi, he showed up at Clark's home one morning in December 2011. Combs has been accused of transportation to engage in prostitution, racketeering conspiracy, and sex trafficking. He has entered a not-guilty plea to all accusations.
