Cobra Kai stars Tanner Buchanan and Mary Mouser confirm relationship after years of speculation

Independent13-02-2025

Cobra Kai stars Tanner Buchanan and Mary Mouser just hard launched their relationship — and their engagement — following years of speculation from fans.
The longtime co-stars walked the red carpet together on Wednesday during Netflix's series-finale event for Cobra Kai, which is releasing the final part of its final (sixth) season on Thursday. As Mouser posed with her arm around Buchanan's shoulder, they both held their hands up to reveal matching silver rings.
On Thursday, Netflix shared a sweet snap of the actors while confirming their engagement.
'COBRA CRYING BECAUSE TANNER BUCHANAN & MARY MOUSER ARE ENGAGED,' Netflix wrote on X/Twitter.
The Independent
Mouser, 28, posed on the red carpet in a brown, sparkled mini-dress, along with a set of silver necklaces and bracelets. Meanwhile, Buchanan, 26, wore a navy blue suit and grey tie, along with a silver watch and yellow sunglasses.
During an interview with People at the event, the He's All That star said Mouser was 'a hundred percent' his ride-or-die confidant. However, he also acknowledged that he had close friendships with 'literally everybody' in the Cobra Kai cast.
'There's not one person that we don't hang out with and have fun with, and we truly keep saying that we're going to be around in each other's lives forever. I don't know how to explain it,' he said.
Buchanan and Mouser's engagement comes as fans have questioned for years if they were together. While they've frequently posted about each other on social media in the past, they've never said they were an item.
In August 2021, Mouser shared multiple pictures on Instagram of her and Buchanan posing at an event for He's All That.
'GO WATCH MY BEST FRIEND FREAKING KILL IT IN @hesallthatmovie!!! v v proud bestie right here,' she wrote. 'Also - I love you, @tannerbuchananofficial, for putting up with my antics. And honestly, you usually just match my antics with your own, so thanks for that too.'
In Cobra Kai, Mouser plays a young karate star, Sam, the daughter of Ralph Machchio's character, Daniel LaRusso, who he played in the original Karate Kid movies. Meanwhile, Buchanan plays Robby, the son of Daniel's rival, Johnny Lawrence. During the show's early seasons, Sam and Robby had a brief romance, which Buchanan previously discussed.
During a conversation with Interview Magazine in 2021, he shared how strange it was for his character to be in a relationship with Mouser since they were just friends in real life at the time.
'The romantic scenes are what cause me the most anxiety. You could talk to Mary [Mouser] about this because she and I are such good friends,' he explained. 'When we had our first kiss scene in season 2, they were asking us, 'Are you ready?' My heart was pounding, I was shaking. It just feels weird to go to that place, because we're such good friends.'

Meghan Markle 'plans to add hotels and restaurants to her As Ever brand'

Meghan Markle reportedly plans to add hotels and restaurants to her As Ever lifestyle brand. The Duchess of Sussex, 43, is trademarking her brand As Ever for 'hospitality services', The Sun first reported. This will reportedly include places to stay, as well as temporary lodgings and 'provision of food and drink', the newspaper revealed last night. Meghan could dish up a selection of her own edible creations, incorporating recipes she featured on her recent Netflix eight-part cooking show With Love, Meghan. Brand experts have claimed hotels and restaurants fit in nicely with the Duchess' business brand. It comes after Meghan said in the first episode of her series: 'When I have someone stay, one of my favourite things to do is prep the guest room.' A second series of the show has already been filmed and is set to be released this Autumn, despite a series of less than ideal reviews following the programme's release in March. The show saw Meghan reveal her tips and tricks for hosting guests, as well as different recipes and party planning hacks. Her lifestyle brand's website states: 'As Ever is more than a brand - it's a love language. 'Created by Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, As Ever welcomes you to a collection of products, each inspired by her long-lasting love of cooking, entertaining and hostessing.' Meghan's representatives declined to comment when approached by MailOnline. The news comes after Meghan took a break from her busy work schedule as she embarked on a trip to Disneyland with husband Prince Harry and their two children. The Duchess shared a series of special moments from their visit in a new post on Instagram. It appears the special time away was at least in part to celebrate their daughter Lilibet's fourth birthday. According to Meghan's post, it appears the family had a good time - sharing details of their trip, including some of the snacks they enjoyed. Notably, one picture show a large pile of corndogs and pickles on a table. The cost of a two-day trip for a four person family to Disneyland can depend on a range of factors, but it can cost around $5,000. It is not known what the family paid for their holiday, but the pictures certainly made it appear as though they made the most of their time away. As well as having a blast on numerous rides, both Lilibet and their son Archie, six, had the chance to meet Disney princess Elsa from Frozen. Meghan held her children's hands as they slowly walked over to take pictures with the character in a sweet moment. Meghan and Harry's kids also had fun on some rides at the amusement park such as Dumbo the Flying Elephant and the Cars ride. The couple - who tied the knot in 2018 - were spotted having a blast of their own as they sat at the front while on Space Mountain together.

Daisy May Cooper shares her 'real name' in sweet social media post

In a post marking her son Benji's first birthday this week, Daisy May Cooper seemingly revealed that her legal surname is still the same as her ex-husband, Will Weston Daisy May Cooper has seemingly shared her real legal name as she posted a sweet throwback photo on social media. The actress and writer, who won the 2018 BAFTA TV Award for Best Female Comedy Performance for playing Kerry Mucklowe in the BBC Three series This Country, has always been known by the surname Cooper since rising to fame. However, in a post shared this week, she revealed that her surname is actually Weston. ‌ The photo, shared by Daisy on her Instagram Stories on Friday, is an image of her hospital visit on June 6, 2024, when she gave birth to her son Benji. She wrote: "1 year ago today at 03.04am we welcomed our baby boy into the world." ‌ In the snap, her full name is written as Daisy May Weston - the surname of her ex-husband, Will Weston. The pair married in The Cotswolds in September 2019 and they share to children to whom they are "both devoted parents". However, they decided to part ways in 2021 after the Covid-19 lockdown "shone a spotlight" on their marital difficulties. Daisy, 38, is now in a relationship with her new partner, Anthony Huggins, who is Benji's father. The couple met on dating app Hinge in December 2021 and welcomed their child a year ago. When her youngest son was born, Daisy announced the news via Instagram and detailed how the little one arrived earlier than planned, penning: "You came a bit earlier than we expected and gave me the worst post op constipation that I nearly had to phone the Samaritans but my god you are perfect. "I cannot thank @deliverysuitegrh enough. The way you looked after us through such a scary time was above and beyond." Daisy's pregnancy was announced in March last year when she and Anthony packed on PDA while shopping for baby clothes in Cirencester, Gloucestershire. ‌ The couple held hands when they stepped out for a spot of shopping, with the actress' bump on full display in a figure-hugging all-black look. The pair could barely keep their hands off one another while making the most of the sunny weather, and Daisy was seen heartily laughing as they went about their day. At the time, a source said: "Daisy is pregnant and is really excited to become a mum for the third time with her new partner. The pair have been going strong, so the addition of a baby will only bring them closer together." Then earlier this year, the couple sparked engagement rumours after Daisy was spotted wearing a diamond rock on her ring finger. Speculation that Anthony had popped the question began in February when Daisy was promoting her BBC series Am I Being Unreasonable? on her Instagram Stories and referred to Anthony as her "fiancé" for the first time. In a clip, she jested that her "fit fiancé and baby daddy" would make an appearance on screen. It was reported at the beginning of the year that Daisy and Anthony were happily engaged and "over the moon" with the news after a secret proposal. A source told The Sun at the time: "Daisy and Anthony are madly in love with each other and are a success story for dating apps. Their relationship has gone from strength to strength and already have a baby boy together." In addition to son Benji, Daisy shares children Pip, five, and Jack, three, with her ex Will. After their break-up, Daisy admitted to The Times: "Will is amazing, an incredible, incredible dad - but fundamentally, there wasn't real love there, I don't think there ever was, really." She went on to reveal that the lockdown "shone a spotlight" on their marital difficulties" and that she needed to be by herself after the strains of the Covid-19 pandemic.

Chris Brown's 'crazy tour budget' as he returns to the stage after UK arrest

Chris Brown has returned to the stage for the first time since his arrest in the UK as the singer entertained crowds at a concert in Amsterdam's Johan Cruyff Arena Chris Brown's fans reacted as the singer returned to the stage following his UK arrest last month. The singer was in Amsterdam to kick off his Breezy Bowl XX tour, which is celebrating 20 years of his career. Followers of the controversial star took to social media to share snippets from the Johan Cruyff Arena in Amsterdam which showed an impressive stage set up. Among his lavish designs was a huge human statue that toward over the surrounding, which the star is thought to have performed on. Uploading a clip to Twitter/X, one user wrote: "the budget for this chris brown tour is crazy, he's not playing about his 20 years of career," followed by a flame emoji. Another said: "Oh my GOD," as they showcased the set up in their own video. And a third added an image of the statue with the crowd looking up at the performer. His Amsterdam gig comes after he was arrested in the UK last month. His arrest came after he was accused of using a bottle to cause bodily harm to music producer Abe Diaw during a night out at London's Tape nightclub in Mayfair on February 19, 2023. On May 15 this year, Brown was arrested at the Lowry Hotel in Salford. He had recently jetted into nearby Manchester Airport to rehearse for his upcoming Breezy Bowl XX 20th anniversary tour. The singer has been charged with one count of grievous bodily harm. He was initially denied bail and is expected to appear in person at Southwark Crown Court next month. District Judge Joanna Hirst told the court that the charge was too serious to be dealt with at the magistrates ' court. However, the 36-year-old star was later granted bail following a court plea. He was ordered to pay a £5 million security fee to the court. The financial guarantee is to ensure a defendant returns to court and may be forfeited if they breach bail conditions. His lawyer, Grace Forbes, had argued that he was a public figure known worldwide as they pleaded for bail to be granted. As well as his Amsterdam performance, Brown is scheduled to perform in cities across the UK, including Manchester, Birmingham, Glasgow, London and Cardiff. Despite his arrest, Brown's bail conditions enable him to continue with his scheduled international tour this year, including in the UK later this month and July. Following his release on bail, the American singer took to Instagram to tell his 144million followers: "From the cage to the stage!!! Breezybowl." Brown's bold post was seemingly in reference to the fact his bail conditions allow him to honour his tour commitments and perform across Europe ahead of his court date next month.
