Amelia, Olly Murs' wife, has strongly defended the 'Troublemaker' singer's incredible body transformation after some fans expressed a preference for his former "dad bod". The 40 year old former X Factor contestant recently flaunted his toned new look, which led some to declare he had kicked into "beast mode".
Yet, not everyone was thrilled with Olly's transformation, as Amelia highlighted in her Instagram Stories. Her outrage was sparked by a negative reaction following Olly sharing an article containing before and after photos of himself, contrasting opinions on his physique, with headlines suggesting a preference for his "huggable dad bod".
Firing back at the detractors, Amelia wrote: "Wow I didn't release body shaming was still a thing in 2025. And at this public level? ! My gosh could you IMAGINE if this headline belonged to a female. But no, my husband's got to just take this one on the chin."

The criticism only fueled Amelia's passion as she continued: "How dare you get so fit for your tour, so that you can give your fans the best show, be full of energy and a true showman."
Emphasising her unconditional love for Olly, Amelia declared she will always "forever be celebrating" his hard work and dedication to his fitness goals. She reassured him: "You're in such a great place mentally as well as physically so don't let this garbage rain on your parade.", reports the Mirror.
The celebrity opened up in his own post, explaining that his fitness journey was driven by "many personal reasons" and he never intended to cause controversy. He did express gratitude for the kinder comments he received.
Former Gogglebox favourite Scarlett Moffatt was among those offering encouragement, telling Olly: "Honestly you can't do right for doing wrong! ! You're healthy! ! Your happy! Sod anyone else x".
Olly's impressive 12-week transformation has led him to become "super disciplined in every aspect of his life". When he first unveiled his revamped physique, he captioned the reveal: "Tour starts Thursday... I'm pumped," accompanied by a flexed bicep emoji and a face with a tongue sticking out.
His post quickly attracted a flood of positive reactions.
The transformation comes as Olly and Amelia prepare to welcome their second child. Sharing the delightful pregnancy update, Olly posted a touching black and white video on social media featuring himself, Amelia, and their one year old daughter Madison strolling down a path.
He is seen lifting Madison onto his shoulders, revealing the message "Big Sis" on the back of her shirt.

And she is captured in profile on the cover of her imminent book - billed as a 'brutally honest and redemptive' memoir that documents her rise to prominence and subsequent fall from grace after being targeted by the disgraced 'Fake Sheikh', Mazher Mahmood. The singer, 37, later admitted her life 'fell apart' following an elaborate sting that resulted in her being arrested on suspicion of supplying Class A drugs, an accusation she vehemently denied. As the drama played out in court, Tulisa opted to keep a journal in which she detailed the toll her trial had taken on her personal life, and the devastating impact it had on her career. Released by Blink Publishing for Bonnier Books UK, Judgement will be available to purchase from August 14. 'Since I was a child, I've been obsessed by storytelling. I loved reading books and writing my own stories,' she explains in an accompanying press release. 'I have always longed to write an incredible book from start to finish – a creation that was all mine. She writes: 'I felt like an animal in a cage, for everyone's entertainment.' A Metropolitan Police spokesperson told Daily Mail: 'We are unaware of this allegation from 2016, which has not been reported to us. 'We would encourage the complainant to make a report so we can investigate.' The impact of the trial also left Tulisa with PTSD, with the singer noting that if she had to go through all the coverage of her trial she would 'have a nervous breakdown.' She told Cosmopolitan: 'There was, an actual, very serious [suicide] attempt. There was also this moment of real depression where I was driving in my car, hysterically crying, and there was so much trauma that I had an out of body experience. 'It was like my brain was going so nuts that I had to physically detach the two.' Following the trial, Tulisa spent more than a decade out of the public eye after it was ruled the infamous Fake Sheikh had trapped her in the drug sting.
