But we all knew Deion Sanders wouldn't stay silent about his son's draft slide forever. The Colorado Buffaloes coach made his first public comments about Shedeur going as a Day 3 pick on Asante Samuel's 'Say What Needs to Be Said' podcast. Sanders even touched on some of the pre-draft process with teams saying 'Grown' was "unprepared" for meetings.
"You have no idea and stop lying. My kids are built for everything, Sanders said. 'We had two TV shows, so they've always been in front of the camera. So, I know they know how to handle themselves. And you're not going to catch them in no foolery or no mess. So, when you sit up there and say something like he went in a meeting unprepared?
"Dude? Like who? Shedeur Sanders? Who had six different coordinators. Who has still functioned and leveled up every time we brought someone new in and you're gonna tell me he was unprepared? You're gonna tell me he had on headphones? Anyone who knows my son understands he's a professional. He's gonna go to a meeting with headphones on? Y'all, come on man.'
Sanders followed up his comments with a video of his son throwing a touchdown pass in Wednesday's practice. This forced Terrell Owens to throw a subtle shot at NFL teams. 'Well, if he wasn't prepared, it looks like he's prepared now!!!," Owens wrote on Instagram.

Shedeur Sanders finished his second three-touchdown practice on Wednesday. This came after limited reps in the 'pod system' the Browns are working with. He'll compete with Joe Flacco, Kenny Pickett, and Dillon Gabriel for reps. Sanders' strong work ethic and professional demeanor have been evident since landing in Cleveland. The former All-American has embraced the challenge, but he's low on the depth chart and remains an unknown commodity.

Cade Cunningham Tops NBA List With Other Elite Young Players

Cade Cunningham Tops NBA List With Other Elite Young Players originally appeared on Athlon Sports. The Detroit Pistons are perhaps the most exciting young team in the NBA, and it's all thanks to Cade Cunningham. He broke out as a first-time All-Star this season and made the All-NBA team, and it's expected that he will lead the Pistons deep into the playoffs next season. Advertisement In the NBA, there is a clear hierarchy of young guards. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Luka Doncic, both MVP frontrunners, lead the way, although Cunningham is ahead of some players who looked to be better than him earlier in their careers. Detroit Pistons guard Cade Cunningham© Wendell Cruz-Imagn Images Lou Williams, after winning three Sixth Man of the Year Awards, knows talent when he sees it, and he thinks Cunningham will have a better career than Paolo Banchero and LaMelo Ball. "I got Cade still having the highest ceiling, Paolo was right there, and then I got to cut LaMelo Ball as having the highest ceiling," listed Lou Williams. "This was a tough one. All of these guys still got a lot of basketball to be played, a lot of things to accomplish in their careers. But for the most part, I feel like I got a good sense of where LaMelo Ball is in his career and what type of player that he's going to be. We're still writing a book on these other two guys. So I'm going to start Cade. I'm going to bench Paolo. And I'm going to have to cut LaMelo." Advertisement Both Banchero and Cunningham have led their teams to the playoffs, and both have given a higher seed some trouble. Ball, on the other hand, struggles to command his team and stay on the court. All three stars play in the East, although as the years tick by, the conference will likely run through Detroit and Orlando, once again passing Charlotte over. PFF ranked Baltimore Ravens' Kyle Hamilton as the best safety in the NFL.

PFF ranked Baltimore Ravens' Kyle Hamilton as the best safety in the NFL. originally appeared on Athlon Sports. The Baltimore Ravens have a rich tradition on defense, and now they have something else that fits that tradition ... Advertisement As they employ one of the best defensive players in the entire NFL in safety Kyle Hamilton, and he will be looking to lead the team to the same success they had in 2024 this season. In a recent article by PFF's Zoltán Buday, he ranks who he believes are the top 32 safeties in the NFL heading into the 2025 season. And at the top spot, he has the 24-year-old Ravens star stealing the show. "Hamilton showed off his versatility in 2024, moving to free safety for most of the second half of the season after playing mainly in the box or as a slot cornerback initially," Buday wrote. "He was also the most complete safety in the league as the only player at the position to earn at least an 88.0 PFF grade in coverage, run defense and pass rushing." The Ravens selected Hamilton out of Notre Dame with the 14th overall pick in the 2022 NFL Draft, and they have not looked back since. Advertisement He finished the 2024 season with a very impressive 107 total tackles, with 77 of them being solo. Hamilton was also able to show his ball-hawk skills by snagging an interception and defending nine passes. The Ravens lost to the Buffalo Bills in the AFC Divisional round this past season, so Hamilton and the rest of the team's defense will be looking to help lead the team back to the playoffs to redeem themselves.
