A Very Big Update About ‘The Pitt' Season 2 On Max

Forbes06-04-2025

The Pitt
It may not be news that the massively popular Max series, The Pitt, has already been renewed for season 2 before season 1 has even ended its 15 episode run (the finale is next week), but now we have some more information about what's coming after this.
During a Deadline event, producer R. Scott Gemmill confirmed four key things about the coming season:
1) It's already in production before season 1 is over
2) It will take place 10 months after season 1
3) It will once again be 15 hours, and therefore 15 episodes
4) It will take place over Fourth of July weekend
The series doing Fourth of July is not just picking a holiday like it's a Christmas special, rather, the Fourth of the July is known in the ER as possibly the most dangerous day of the year. Why? There are more minor things like heat exhaustion. There are drunken accidents at loads of parties across the country. And of course, there are fireworks-based injuries. You can bet you're going to see more than a few of those in season 2, without question.
Season 1 of The Pitt started out with an ER shift that was certainly busy and full of intense cases, but by the end of the season, turned in a completely different direction with the final stretch of episodes devoted to dealing with the chaotic aftermath of a nearby mass shooting. The concept seemed pretty telegraphed by the early focus on a troubled kid with a hitlist, but in the end, it was not that predictable, and the attack was carried out by some other unknown shooter, not him.
The Pitt
The Pitt is no doubt in line to land a slew of Emmy nominations this coming year, including one for Noah Wyle as lead actor. It's become a huge, surprise hit in 2025, one that no one saw coming, and one that easily could have gone wrong in a world of forgettable medical dramas and with a 24-like gimmick that may not have landed. Instead, the opposite happened and you can argue that it has probably been the best show on TV this year, and that's even ahead of what happens during the finale.
We do not know the full list of cast members who will return. It is unlikely that all of them will. For one, some of the young cast members may leave due to landing new rotations, if they don't concoct a reason for them to stay. Then there's obviously the situation with Langdon, where even if he returned for the last few episodes, it is tough to see how he would stay in an ER with Robby given what he knows about his medicine thievery. Robby giving him a second chance would be wildly irresponsible, but who knows. So it's possible the show does lose a chunk of its cast and replaces them with new faces. We'll have to wait and see.

Las Vegas couple killed after apparent online streamer clash

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) – Sunday's murder of a husband and wife stems from an online beef between two YouTube streamers arguing over, among other things, copyright infringement, the 8 News Now Investigators' review of hours worth of archived video reveals. Finny Da Legend, one of two of the shooting victims, and fellow streamer Sin City Manny, had argued for several months, the video appears to show. The two trolled each other, disagreed, and had lengthy conversations over the course of hours on a myriad of streams and sometimes different social media handles. Sin City Manny, whose real name is Manuel Ruiz, 41, will appear in Las Vegas Justice Court Tuesday morning. He faces two charges of open murder. By Monday morning, Ruiz's streams seem to have been scrubbed from the Internet. But Finny Da Legend's stream included some of Ruiz's stream, where Finny and a cast of online guests criticize his prowess of Las Vegas. 'He's the least informed Vegas person out there,' one of Finny's co-streamers said in an online broadcast that lasted over five hours. Someone with the screen name Kevin, another streamer on Finny's channel, in the same post, directly addressed the feud over copyright. That portion of the stream, from just five days ago. 'If anyone should be striked down, it should be Manny,' Kevin said. 'That's who needs the copyright strikes. That's who needs the axe.' It is unclear what exactly the copyright issue entails. That comment appears sometime after the opening sequence of Finny's stream, which included a copyright disclaimer and an obviously fake portrayal of President Donald Trump saying, 'I want to say '[Expletive] Sin City Family and [Expletive] Manny.' Sin City Family, apparently, include other online streamers who have banded together. Finny Da Legend's streams remain online, with approximately 4,000 subscribers. Copyright 2025 Nexstar Media, Inc. WWE star R-Truth breaks silence on return after release

The post WWE star R-Truth breaks silence on return after release appeared first on ClutchPoints. Following his surprise return at Money in the Bank, former WWE 24/7 Champion R-Truth thanked the fans for leading to him being brought back after his release. Advertisement A fan on X, formerly Twitter, praised the #WeWantTruth movement for bringing R-Truth back to WWE. 'Wrestling as a collective, fans and wrestlers TOGETHER, used their voices to help get a Black man's job back in less than a WWEK!' the post began. That's why the 'how' is important to ME. 22 million views and broken hearts… Change was made. Period.' R-Truth responded to the post, saying, 'No [cap, We Want Truth] was seen, heard, felt, and understood…. Believe me when I say this, I love EVERY ONE of y'all to death [smiling face with tear emoji.] We made history together.' Son of WWE's R-Truth responds to his return After Money in the Bank, Paul 'Triple H' Levesque addressed R-Truth's surprise return. He called it 'All part of the show,' which does not appear to be the case, at least according to R-Truth's son, Christopher Killings. Advertisement He took to his Instagram Stories by reposting WWE's video of the post. Killings simply said, 'Stop the [cap],' in response to Triple H's comments. That was not his only post. Killings also reposted a video of his father's return, saying, 'Congrats on the new deal[,] dad [two money bag emojis]! Last run [loudly crying face emoji].' R-Truth announced that WWE was not renewing his contract on June 1, 2025, meaning he was released. This led to an internet uproar, and the WWE Universe began chanting, 'We want Truth,' beginning with the following edition of Monday Night RAW. The movement made an impact, as WWE rehired him ahead of Money in the Bank. He came back during the main event tag team match between the team of Cody Rhodes and Jey Uso against John Cena and Logan Paul. Advertisement Towards the end of the match, Cena began using his WWE Championship belt as a weapon against Rhodes. Just when it appeared he was going to cheat his way to another win, a hooded figure attacked him in the ring. He unmasked himself to reveal R-Truth, which received a loud response from the crowd. It is unclear in what capacity he will be involved in the company moving forward. For now, he is back and will likely resume his program with his 'childhood hero,' Cena. The legendary Yo-Yo Ma will perform at 2 universities in Utah

The legendary Yo-Yo Ma will perform at least twice in Utah next year — at two universities. Utah Valley University recently announced The Noorda's Center for the Performing Arts 2025–26 season, and the lineup includes a performance from renowned cellist Yo-Yo Ma on Feb. 25. That performance comes the day after the 19-time Grammy winner is scheduled to perform at Brigham Young University — an appearance that celebrates both the university's 150th anniversary and the centennial of the school's College of Fine Arts and Communication, as the Deseret News previously reported. Ma's pair of solo performances in Utah is significant, coming a little over a year after he performed with the Utah Symphony in an appearance that was billed as his first performance in Salt Lake City since the Opening Ceremony of the 2002 Winter Olympics, per Deseret News. The Noorda's upcoming season also features another classical music superstar: violinist Joshua Bell. The violin virtuoso previously performed at UVU in 2021 and Brigham Young University in 2017. Another big draw for the season is Broadway and Disney star Lea Salonga, the powerful voice behind Disney princesses Jasmine and Mulan who was the guest artist for the Tabernacle Choir's 2022 Christmas concert. Below is the full 2025–26 season lineup, per The Noorda website: Sept. 12 — The Wailin' Jennys Sept. 26 — Henry Yeff aka Reeps100 Oct. 13 — 123 Andres Nov. 5 — Lea Salonga Dec. 12 — La Nueva Generacion, 'A Mariachi Christmas' Dec. 16 — Utah Symphony, 'Here Comes Santa Claus' Feb. 6, 2026 — Tango After Dark Feb. 25, 2026 — Yo-Yo Ma April 3, 2026 — Brush Theatre presents: Doodle Pop April 21, 2026 — Joshua Bell Tickets are available on The Noorda's website. Ma's performance is only available through season ticket packages until July 1.
