New character posters for have been released.
The Fantastic Four: First Steps arrives in theaters this coming July. The MCU movie is directed by Matt Shakman and stars Pedro Pascal as Reed Richards/Mister Fantastic.
The new character posters, which can be viewed below via the official X Fantastic Four account, feature Pascal, Vanessa Kirby as Sue Storm, Ebon Moss-Bachrach as The Thing, Joseph Quinn as Johnny Storm, and Marvel's First Family's robot companion, H.E.R.B.I.E.
In addition to the aforementioned cast, The Fantastic Four: First Steps stars Ralph Ineson as Galactus and Julia Garner as Shall-Ba/Silver. Paul Walter Hauser, John Malkovich, and Natasha Lyonne also star in undisclosed roles.
'Set against the vibrant backdrop of a 1960s-inspired, retro-futuristic world, The Fantastic Four: First Steps introduces Marvel's First Family—Reed Richards/Mister Fantastic, Sue Storm/Invisible Woman, Johnny Storm/Human Torch, and Ben Grimm/The Thing as they face their most daunting challenge yet,' the official synopsis reads. 'Forced to balance their roles as heroes with the strength of their family bond, they must defend Earth from a ravenous space god called Galactus (Ralph Ineson) and his enigmatic Herald, Silver Surfer (Julia Garner). And if Galactus' plan to devour the entire planet and everyone on it weren't bad enough, it suddenly gets very personal.'
Marvel Studios' The Fantastic Four: First Steps will be released in United States theaters on July 25, 2025. It will be the first film of Phase Six of the MCU, which will then be followed by 2026's Avengers: Doomsday. Pascal, Kirby, Moss-Bachrach, and Quinn are all confirmed to be returning for Doomsday, which is directed by the Russo Brothers.
Following that comes Spider-Man: Brand New Day in July 2026 and Avengers: Secret Wars in May 2027.

More than 100 celebrities across the entertainment industry are calling on President Trump's administration to protect an LGBTQ youth crisis service's funding amid broader spending cuts. An internal budget document first reported by The Washington Post would eliminate specialized services for LGBTQ youth who contact 988, the National Suicide and Crisis Lifeline, a proposal that would have 'devastating, life-threatening consequences for young people across the country,' reads an open letter organized and published Monday by the Trevor Project, a nonprofit group that responds to roughly half of 988's calls and texts from LGBTQ youth. 'As artists, creators, and public figures, our platforms come with responsibility. And today, that responsibility is clear: we must speak out to protect the mental health and lives of LGBTQ+ youth. We will not stay silent,' states the letter, with signatures from actors Pedro Pascal, Daniel Radcliffe, Margaret Cho and Sarah Paulson. Musicians, including Ariana Grande, Sabrina Carpenter, Diplo and Dua Lipa also signed, alongside notable figures including influencer Dylan Mulvaney, celebrity chef Amanda Freitag and Carl Nassib, a former defensive lineman and the first NFL player to publicly come out as gay. The White House did not immediately return a request for comment. The service for LGBTQ youth has received nearly 1.3 million calls, texts and online chat messages since its launch in 2022, according to the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA). In February, the program received an average of 2,100 crisis contacts daily. More than 100 House Democrats — and two Republicans, in a separate letter — have also urged the Trump administration to spare 988's specialized services for LGBTQ youth from funding cuts, arguing that such a move would have 'lethal consequences if enacted.' The proposed cuts, which need approval from Congress, would not take effect until October. Trump signed the bipartisan National Suicide Hotline Designation Act in October 2020, and the 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline officially launched in 2022 under former President Biden's administration. Congress increased funding for the hotline's LGBTQ youth specialized services last year on a bipartisan basis. 'I am deeply grateful to the influential voices in entertainment who are speaking out and reminding the public that suicide prevention is about people – not politics,' Jaymes Black, the Trevor Project's CEO, said in a statement on Monday. 'LGBTQ+ young people disproportionately experience rejection, stigma, and discrimination, and are navigating a world that too often tells them they don't belong. We must send a louder message back: millions of people are fighting for you to lead the happy, healthy lives you deserve,' Black said. A report released by the group last year found that 39 percent of LGBTQ 13- to 24-year-olds in the U.S. considered suicide over the past year, including 46 percent of transgender and nonbinary youth. ANDOR Creator Tony Gilroy Had to Fight Disney For Season 2 Budget After Being Told "Streaming is Dead" — GeekTyrant
Andor is one of this shows that raised the bar for the Star Wars franchise. But, getting to that second season? That didn't come easy. Tony Gilroy, the creator of Andor and the mind behind Rogue One , opened up at the ATX Television Festival about the uphill battle he faced securing proper funding for Season 2 of the critically acclaimed series. While you'd think Disney would be all-in after Season 1's success, Gilroy revealed a much grimmer outlook from the studio: "I mean, [for] Disney this is $650 million. For 24 episodes, I never took a note. We said 'F*ck the Empire' in the first season, and they said, 'Can you please not do that?' … In season 2, they said, 'Streaming is dead, we don't have the money we had before,' so we fought hard about money, but they never cleaned anything up. That [freedom] comes with responsibilities." 'Streaming is dead,' according to what Gilroy was told during Season 2's production. Kind of a surprise, considering this is Disney we're talking about, owners of Disney+, the home of Andor, The Mandalorian , and every Marvel show. But, this internal sentiment makes a bit more sense when you look at the recent slowdown in Disney's streaming content pipeline. Marvel shows have slowed down. Star Wars shows are fewer and farther between. The emphasis, for now, seems to be shifting, toward theatrical releases. I'm glad to hear that Gilroy 'fought hard' for the budget and to preserve the scope and freedom of the show. It was a massive creative swing that kept its integrity intact despite the studio's shifting priorities. Even with all the struggles behind the scenes, Andor remains the most critically lauded live-action Star Wars project to date. It was an impressive show that hit a nerve with fans, elevating the franchise in a way no other Star Wars project has. As for what's next : The Mandalorian & Grogu is headed to the big screen with Pedro Pascal and Sigourney Weaver. Shawn Levy and Ryan Gosling are confirmed to be teaming on the Starfighter movie. Ahsoka 's second season is underway for a 2026 release, and a Darth Maul series is also coming.
