Robbers raid jewellery store, open fire at deputy manager
1 2 Hyderabad: Armed robbers barged into Khazana Jewellery store at Chandanagar on Tuesday morning and escaped with about seven kg of gold-coated silver jewellery worth about Rs 10 lakh after firing at deputy manager, Satish Kumar, injuring him in the leg. Cyberabad police special teams have launched a manhunt to nab the offenders. At around 10.30 am, when the staff assembled for the morning briefing, six armed assailants barged into the shop. "We initially thought they were customers, but then noticed firearms in their hands. They started abusing us and assaulting us, asking for locker keys. We said the manager has not come yet. During that time, they shot the deputy manager in the leg and took away the available silver ornaments," jewellery executive Suleiman said. A security guard who was present on the mezzanine floor of the jewellery shop said that three assailants came towards him to get the safe opened. "The safe where the gold is stored is on the mezzanine floor. The safe was supposed to open for morning business, and my duty was to be there at the safe when it opened. But, the manager who has the second key has not reached the shop yet, and so they went away with gold-coated silver jewellery available at the display area," said the guard. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Treatment That Might Help You Against Back Pain!
