Hurn recycling centre fire: Crews remain on scene for third day

Crews remain at the scene of a recycling centre fire three days after it started. Flames ignited at the site off Chapel Lane in Hurn, Dorset, at 11:26 BST on Wednesday, resulting in residents being warned to keep their windows shut.The fire service said the fire had been "very deep seated within the waste stack". In an update shortly after 09:00, Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue said three appliances remained at the scene to continue dampening down and to help staff move waste safely.
