Underage Soccer camp
Banteer's Underage Soccer camp takes place on 23rd, 24th and 25th July. This is a coaching camp for boys & girls from 6 to 16 years approx. in their own groups. Time: 11am to 3pm. Registration starts at 10.30am on first day. Venue is Banteer Sports field. Fee: €35 per person paid on the first day.
Camp is confined to Banteer Underage Soccer, the greater Banteer Community area and to those who always support the camp. Everyone should bring a packed lunch and own water bottle. No mobile phones to be used while camp is in progress.
1995 Reunion
A reunion for the winning 1995 Banteer Junior Hurlers takes place on Friday 29th August at the Glen Theatre – more details later.
Sunday's Well
Mass will take place at Sunday's Well, Fermoyle, Banteer this Thursday, 26th June at 7.30pm.
Banteer Macra news
Banteer Macra recently held their AGM in Banteer hall. We would like to thank everyone who attended on the night. We would like to thank all the outgoing officers and wish the new committee the very best of luck. We would also like to thank Aishling O'Keeffe for the past 2 years of work as Munster VP and wish her all the best.

Banteer Sportsfield/Park
The annual draw for the ongoing operation, maintenance and development of the facility for 2025 is on now –please support same as your support helps us make it better for all users. First draw planned for the end of May. Improvement plans for 2025 include upgrade of old dressing rooms, goal posts replacement ,sanding/aeration works, new pitch mower, solar PV installation. Work will start on these projects soon.
The regular operation and maintenance works are very important to maintain the facility to the highest level and also these costs are now approx 40k p.a + which are funded by our annual draw. All are asked to please support the local Community Café at the Sportsfield opened Tues to Fri 10am to 2pm and each evening Monday to Friday 6pm to 8.30pm.
Community Council
Community Council have asked Cork County Council and our local reps to please proceed asap with the resurfacing of the Clonmeen road and repairs to the Kanturk road. Also a request has been made to provide traffic calming on an urgent basis on the Railway/Millstreet road as traffic is exceeding the speed limits coming into the village. A request to replace the damaged safety bollard at the corner of the footpath has also been requested.

Banteer Bingo
Bingo is played at Banteer Community Centre on Tuesday nights at 8.30pm, playing for jackpot of €2,600. Looking forward to seeing everyone.
EV charging at Sportsfield/Park
Banteer Community Sportsfield/Park have submitted a grant application for the installation of a 150kw fast EV charger in the carpark across from the Park. This entender grant scheme by TLI is to provide 6 fast chargers on or within 3km of the N72 Fermoy to Killarney road.

Duhallow Hurling League Final: Our hurlers have qualified for the Twohig's Supervalu Duhallow Hurling League Final and will play Dromtarriffe in the final.It has been fixed for June 29th at 1pm in Banteer, please note the change of time.Keep an eye out on Club Zap, our social media pages and club texts for updates.
Blue and white support: We're calling on everyone to show their support for our hurlers as they gear up for another league final in the coming weeks. If you have blue and white flags, we'd love for you to hang them proudly for all to see. Let's turn the community blue and white and get behind the team together!
All-Ireland semi final tickets: With huge excitement building for the All-Ireland Senior Hurling Semi-Final on July 5th, tickets are expected to be in very high demand.Croke Park is likely to be a sell-out, and while Kilbrin GAA will receive an allocation of tickets, numbers will be limited.Priority will be given to our club members when it comes to purchasing tickets.If you're not yet a member and would like to be part of our club community, you can join by contacting one of our committee members, joining on Club Zap or by texting 089 974 0093.Please be aware: While we'll do our very best to accommodate everyone, demand is expected to exceed supply, and we may not have enough tickets for every member.

Walkway: The evenings are getting brighter so get out and utilise this brilliant community facility. The lights will come on at dusk and turn off at 9:30pm 7 days a week.
Club Lotto: There was no winner of our recent jackpot. The numbers drawn were: 13, 17, 35 and 36. Our lucky dip winners were: Denis O'Connor, Mairead Lucey, David and Shirley O'Callaghan, Marie Spink and Nicole and Callum, Drominagore.Our next lotto jackpot is €6,400 and takes place on June 25th. Congratulations: Congratulations to our Nation School team who won the 8 a-side hurling blitz final when they defeated Freemount in Rathcoole. Well done to the team and teachers Ms. O Sullivan and Ms. Doody.
Bingo
Bingo is held every Monday night in the Kilbrin Social Club at 8.30 sharp. Tea, coffee, sweets and treats and bar refreshments available. A Lovely and comfortable environment to be in for these Summer evenings. Jackpot is €1,700 in 52 calls. Thank you to all that support week in and week out. It is much appreciated.
Pickleball
Pickleball continues every Thursday from 8pm in the Social Club Hall. We always welcome current and new members to this fun and exciting new sport!
Squash
Did you know Kilbrin sports and social is host to one of North Cork's last remaining active squash courts. Outdoor Mass
Our Annual Outdoor Mass at Teampailin Kilquane will take place this Friday June 24th at 7.30pm. All are very welcome. This will be the 30th Anniversary.
Clyda Rovers GAA Launch Golf Classic
Clyda Rovers GAA Club teed up its annual golf classic with a launch in Murphy's bar, Mourneabbey as they once again look forward to what is a highlight in the club calendar.
The classic will take place over two days on Thursday and Friday, July 10th and 11th at Mallow Golf Club, and again this year the main sponsors are Derry and Doreen Murphy.
Speaking at the launch in Murphy's bar, club chairperson John Walsh remarked: 'it's hard to believe this is our 29th year of one of the highlights of the club year'.
The money raised at the classic has gone to great use for the club down through the years.
'Along with supporting our players and teams, we have undertaken some very well-needed capital projects with the monies in the past ' John said.
'Without sponsorship from the people of Mourneabbey and the businesses and people of the local hinterland of Mallow, we would not be able to make this kind of investment.'
Next to speak was the organiser of the golf classic, John Roche, who paid particular tribute to Derry and Doreen Murphy for their continued sponsorship of this annual event. 'Derry and Doreen provide top-class prizes, and it really adds to the success of our classic,' he remarked.
He also welcomed Captain and Lady Captain of Mallow Golf Club to the launch Timmy O Callaghan and Carmel Conroy. John said, ' it's a great honour to have 2 Clyda and Mourneabbey People leading Mallow Golf Club for the year'.
'For the 29th year, we are hoping to make this the best year yet, with record teams and tee boxes, good weather, and a great golf course in Mallow to play in.'
John went on to mention the fundraising draw that will take place during the classic, which will be aimed at supporting a very good cause.
