BTS' Jungkook's Chinese fan reveals WHY she tried to break into idol's Seoul home on his military discharge day
A startling new update has emerged in the ongoing investigation into the recent break-in attempt at BTS member Jungkook's residence. According to a statement released by the Yongsan Police on June 12, the Chinese woman who was caught trying to enter the idol's home confessed her motive. She said she wanted to personally see Jungkook following his military discharge.
The woman, reportedly in her 30s, told officers she had traveled from China to South Korea with the sole purpose of meeting the K-pop star. Her actions, she admitted, were driven by a deep attachment and admiration for the singer. Her statement has shifted the narrative of the case. This cast it as a case of obsessive fan behavior rather than a random criminal act.
Police have yet to confirm whether the woman had any prior history of stalking or had been monitoring Jungkook 's schedule. They are also working to determine if she had attempted similar acts in the past or had plans to approach other BTS members. For now, the case remains under active investigation, with authorities reviewing her travel history, online activity, and possible accomplices.
Security breach on military discharge day
The attempted intrusion took place late on the night of June 11, 2025, just hours after Jungkook was officially discharged from the military. He had served as a sergeant in the 5th Artillery Brigade since enlisting in December 2023. While fans were celebrating his return, a serious breach of his privacy was unfolding behind the scenes.
Around 11:20 PM, residents in Jungkook 's Yongsan-gu neighborhood became alarmed. They spotted a woman repeatedly pressing the digital passcode outside his apartment. A concerned neighbor quickly notified authorities. Responding officers from the Yongsan Police Station arrived on the scene. They arrested the woman on the spot for attempted trespassing.
Thankfully, Jungkook is believed to have been unharmed, and it's unclear if he was at home at the time of the incident. His agency has not released any official statement.
Fans react with concern and outrage
The revelation of the woman's motive has stirred public anger and concern, especially among BTS' global fanbase, ARMY. Many fans are urging agencies and law enforcement to implement stronger protective measures for idols.
Online forums have lit up with reactions. Fans express a mix of sympathy for Jungkook and outrage at the intrusion of his private life. As the investigation continues, fans hope for accountability and action. They not only want Jungkook to be safe, but also hope to deter similar incidents in the future.

Kim Soo Hyun loses millions in assets to home appliance brand after luxury apartment seizure; fails to pay damages
Kim Soo Hyun's legal trouble isn't slowing down anytime soon. After losing one of his four luxury apartments to skincare company CLASSYS, the K-drama actor has now reportedly lost millions worth of assets to another advertiser. Cuckoo, a popular home appliance brand in South Korea, dropped him as brand ambassador after his dating controversy with late actor Kim Sae Ron gained traction. He had worked as their exclusive model for over a decade and was recently signed to represent their Chinese subsidiary. The lawsuit was filed by the company's electronic sector, which brings in over 90% of Holdings' revenue. On April 24, they filed a request to freeze about 100 million KRW (roughly $73,500 USD) worth of Kim's personal assets, including his bank accounts and loans, and the paperwork was approved on May 20, according to K-media outlet New Daily. The YouTube channel's host, Kim Se Ui, had accused the actor of being in an 'inappropriate relationship' with the late Bloodhounds star and released photographs, audio recordings, and more to back his claims, most of which were labelled as fabricated by Kim's agency, Gold Medalist. Also read: Kim Soo Hyun moves National Forensic Service after his plush apartment seized; to challenge Garosero's 'fabricated' evidence On May 2, the advertiser filed another lawsuit, this time demanding 850 million KRW (around $625,000 USD) in damages. This time, they brought in Homesys (a rental services arm), their Malaysian subsidiary, and other CUCKOO Holdings affiliates to file a joint lawsuit against both the actor and his one-man agency, demanding 2.03 billion KRW (around $1.47 million USD) in damages. The case was referred to the 22nd Civil Division of the Seoul Central District Court. Meanwhile, the earlier 850 million KRW claim was assigned to the 7th Civil Division of the Seoul Eastern District Court. So now, Kim's legal team will have to fight the same lawsuits in multiple courts. Meanwhile, one of its subsidiaries reportedly filed a 50 million KRW (about $36,600 USD) provisional seizure against Gold Medalist. This was also approved by the court on May 27. This was followed by an April 25 lawsuit from a cosmetic company that sued the actor, demanding 510 million KRW (roughly $367,000 USD), though the name of the company has not been disclosed yet. The move came just days after a medical aesthetics company seized one of his posh properties in Seongsu-dong, Seoul, freezing it for 3 billion KRW (around $2.21 million USD). Meanwhile, Kim's fans across the globe have accused these advertisers of riding the actor's success during his peak era and now abandoning him over a controversy that hasn't reached a conclusion yet, causing secondary harm. They stress that these companies are targeting someone who is already facing false allegations. The fans have launched a campaign to boycott these brands.

Did Min Hee Jin have a hand in creating mail for NJZ's family emails? The latest court hearing reveals new evidence against former ADOR CEO
NewJeans, along with BTS' management agency and sub-agency, have all been heavily involved in a legal battle since last year. In recent updates made in court, new 'evidence' has come to light as BTS' management claims that the email shared by the family of NJZ members was made by former ADOR CEO Min Hee Jin. New hearing brings new claims to light amid BTS and NewJeans management company dispute The ongoing dispute between BTS' management and NewJeans' management has taken a new turn at the latest hearing. According to Korean media news outlet No Cut News, it was reported that the company had claimed that the former CEO of NJZ's management had a direct relationship with the family members of the group. They alleged that Min Hee Jin was directly involved in drafting the protest emails that were shared by the female K-pop group's families. The company has claimed that at first glance, the email shared by NewJeans' family was nothing more than them being concerned about the girls. They then continued by stating that the email may have been adulterated and 'influenced' by Min Hee Jin. They stated that the email was instead made in a way to pressure the company and to change public opinion about the company as well. They claimed that this betrayed the company's trust with Min Hee Jin and heavily affected their image in the public sphere as well. Alleged messages sent by Min Hee Jin During the court hearing, they also shared a series of text messages sent allegedly by Min Hee Jin to ADOR employees with the words "Send this to Danielle's mom" and "Revise this to sound like Hyein's father." A representative from BTS' management stated that Hee Jin's alleged messages accounted for "clear contractual grounds for termination". They also added that "There is no longer any trust between us and the defendant, Min Hee Jin."
