This collection features the very same caps donned by the players during their postgame celebrations and championship parade. 'League sources say that the Bulls made an offer of $80 million over four years to restricted free agent Josh Giddey when the offseason commenced on June 30,' reported Fischer. 'Giddey, of course, is seeking an annual salary in the $30 million range. Chicago has been anchored in the $20 million range in annual value ever since its original offer.' Fischer also reported that some other teams have been interested in potential sign and trade scenarios for Giddey, but that thus far, nothing has materialized on that front. 'The Bulls have likewise become generally known over the past few years as a team that can be challenging to talk trade with. Rival executives have had trouble for several trade deadlines in a row trying to pinpoint whether the Bulls were or weren't looking to offload some of their veteran players,' noted Fischer. A big decision for the Bulls While the Bulls' season ended in familiar fashion last year–a play-in game exit vs the Miami Heat–it was a bit easier of a pill to swallow for Chicago fans considering that this time around, their team was led by young talent as opposed to aging vets like DeMar DeRozan. A big part of that youth movement was the emergence of Giddey, who played the best basketball of his career down the stretch of last season and showcased the playmaking at 6'8″ that made him an intriguing draft prospect back in 2021. It remains to be seen whether the Bulls and Giddey will finally come to terms on a new deal any time in the near future. Hornets preseason schedule include two against NBA champions, Duke rookie showdown
CHARLOTTE, N.C. (CAROLINA SPORTS LIVE) — The Charlotte Hornets will be away from the Queen City and play the reigning NBA champions twice in the preseason this year. The team announced their five-game schedule Tuesday ahead of 2025-26 season, with its two 'home' games being played in Greensboro and North Charleston, South Carolina, due to renovations at the Spectrum Center. Hornets going on the road in the Carolinas for preseason 'home' games Coming off a Summer League championship, the Hornets will tip off the preseason by hosting MVP Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and the Oklahoma City Thunder at the North Charleston Coliseum on Oct. 5. They then travel to OKC on Oct. 9 to complete the elongated back-to-back. Charlotte heads south to play Dallas, where on Oct. 11 Hornets rookie Kon Knueppel will face off against former Duke teammate and this year's No. 1 overall pick Cooper Flagg. In the latest example of why that's the right move, professionals from different sports have shouted him out. Professional golfer Talor Gooch took time out of his performance at an Indiana LIV Golf Tournament to wear Gilgeous-Alexander's 2024-25 City Edition jersey. The Oklahoma State alumn has made his Thunder fandom known for years. He grew up in Oklahoma. As you can imagine, the Indiana crowd booed him as he went on to par the hole. The Thunder crushed the Indiana Pacers fans' dreams when they won Game 7 of the 2025 NBA Finals to bring home the Larry O'Brien trophy. A few hours later, Gilgeous-Alexander shouted out Gooch for the troll job. It was a good move to go with his goal to upset the crowd. The professional golfer is known for leaning into the villain gimmick at times. This was the latest example of that.
