The NFL Just Perfectly Trolled Their Male Fans Over Taylor Swift

Buzz Feed18 hours ago
As I'm sure you all know because it's practically inescapable: Taylor Swift is back.
The "Getaway Car" singer announced her 12th album, "The Life of a Showgirl," on her boyfriend's podcast, New Heights.
Soooo, in case you forgot, some football fans can be bitter about her going to games.
Like, she was booed at the Super Bowl.
And the NFL Instagram account always has comments like this:
Well, the NFL just posted about Taylor on their Instagram, and fans pointed out that they are clearly trolling their audience:
Yup, the thumbnail just says "It's more of me."
For those who want more context, in the clip, she says, "As we all know, you guys have a lot of male sports fans that listen to your podcast. I think we all know that if there's one thing that male sports fans want to see in their spaces and on their screens. It's more of me."
Needless to say, her fans are lovin' it.
Knowing her, there's probably an Easter egg or 24 in that post.
I guess we'll have to wait and see...

USA TODAY Sports is now on Bluesky! Give us a follow for more of our NFL content. In a big moment for Swifties and NFL fans alike, pop icon Taylor Swift made her much-anticipated debut on the Kelce brothers' podcast, "New Heights." The pop icon revealed some details about her new album and talked some football. Well, it was maybe a bit light on the football banter. Taylor did share plenty of stories on the podcast hosted by her boyfriend, Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, and his brother, former Philadelphia Eagles center Jason Kelce. Swift discussed her evolution into a football fan (and what her "welcome to the NFL" moment was), her early dates with Travis Kelce and how Andy Reid vouched for his tight end to Taylor's father (the two are friends!). ➤ Jacob Camenker provided the winners (wingman Andy Reid) and losers (NFL fans hoping for football talk) of Swift's "New Heights" appearance. ➤ Nancy Armour wrote about how unbothered Taylor Swift is by the Dads, Brads and Chads. Taylor Swift Pokes Fun At Travis Kelce's Brother Jason For Obsessing Over His 'Beer' When He Met Royal Family

Taylor Swift had a laugh at the expense of her potential brother-in-law, Jason Kelce, while making her debut appearance on his podcast New Heights on Wednesday. During the nearly two hour-long episode, Swift spoke about how Travis made his on-stage debut with her for her Eras Tour shows at Wembley Stadium. 'Wasn't this the week that I got to watch Jason meet the Royal Family?' Swift recalled, before she and Travis, proceeded to poke fun at Jason for his neurotic concerns about his demeanour before meeting Prince William and two of his children, Princess Charlotte and Prince George. The hitmaker ended up immortalising the performances with selfies featuring the Prince of Wales — who was celebrating his birthday at the concerts. 'I knew you were serious when I was like, "Jason, do you want to go meet [them]?"' she continued, and Travis chimed in to narrate his older brother's reaction. 'He was like, "What do I do with my beer?"' the Kansas City Chiefs tight end said. Swift played off her boyfriend, adding: 'I watched him have this moment with his beer where he's just like, "But I want to take it. But I know that I probably should not take it." 'I watched this happen and it was kind of the most amazing [thing],' she said with a laugh. Jason then confirmed that Swift was 'exactly' right about his tortured mental process at the time. 'If I don't have my beer, what do I do with this hand now? Or am I just, like, being authentic by having the beer? I would normally have the beer. Wouldn't they want me to be myself?' Swift said as she mocked Jason's mental back-and-forth. 'I'm watching you say that in your head,' she clarified, adding that it was a 'fantastic' show for her. 'I'll always remember that.' Travis added, after meeting the Royals, that Prince William was 'the coolest motherf***er.' He added that he didn't realise Prince George and Princess Charlotte would also be there, but they turned out to be an 'absolute delight to meet' as well. This Week in Sports Trivia: August 14, 2025

Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce were back in the news this week, as the pop star appeared on the 'New Heights' podcast hosted by Kelce and his brother Jason. The appearance was a long time coming. Remember that it was on that same podcast back in 2023 that Travis shared a story about trying to meet Swift. It wasn't much longer before news surfaced that they were dating, causing two wildly diverse pop culture worlds to collide and nearly breaking the internet. The rest was history. Advertisement Wednesday's show was partly an acknowledgment of that journey, and partly a means to promote Swift's upcoming album, 'The Life of a Showgirl.' But mostly it was just good old-fashioned entertainment. We're sure you watched, so maybe you'll have a leg up on at least one of the questions on this week's quiz — but there's a whole lot more in store for you.
