Good Morning Britain host Susanna Reid was forced to step in during a fiery on-air row
Susanna Reid had to intervene during a heated debate on Monday's Good Morning Britain.
The 54-year-old presenter, alongside co-host Richard Madeley, was discussing the topic "is EU deal a betrayal of Brexit?" with guests Femi Oluwole and Annunziata Rees-Mogg when the debate escalated.
However, the debate took a fiery turn with Susanna forced to step in and tell Femi: "You've got to respect Annunziata's opinion — I'd like to point out so far that the majority so far of the viewers who have got in touch with us agree with Annunziata."
Yet, Femi persisted, repeatedly calling out Susanna's name, resulting in her telling him: "Femi, you can keep saying my name but I need to make the point that Annunziata is making a view heard, or trying to, which a lot people who voted for Brexit agree with.
"The people who have got in touch with us this morning have not died, they are still living voters who feel that their democratic decision is now being overturned."
She added: "You don't need to talk about Annunziata in the third person, she's right in front of you!" At this point, Annunziata also chimed in: "Yeah, you can talk to me and also let me speak!", reports Bristol Live.
Susanna then tried to refocus the conversation, urging: "Okay, now let Annunziata speak!" only to be met with Femi's plea: "Let me finish my point, please!"
Taking to Twitter, now X, viewers were quick to react to the fiery debate as one person said: "Wow, Susanna and Richard good thing you're in between these two bring out the gloves?? They both have good points by talking over each other doesn't not make it right!"
Elsewhere during Monday's edition of Good Morning Britain, avid football supporter Susanna couldn't contain her joy over her team securing the FA Cup for the very first time.
The jubilant presenter also used Instagram to express her elation about Crystal Palace's victory over Manchester City, clinching the FA Cup trophy.
In a weekend post on Instagram accompanied by a cheerful photo from the match, Susanna wrote: "GLAD ALL OVER! It is hard to believe - @cpfc have won the FA cup for the FIRST TIME!"
Reveling in the triumph, she added: "Such an epic achievement - the players, the manager, the club, the fans. Such a happy day. Eze was a hero and Henderson was a legend. Best day ever for @cpfc fans."

Terrorism the only issue Starmer handling well, poll finds
Terrorism is the only issue that British people think Sir Keir Starmer is handling well, new polling suggests. In a damning audit of Labour's first year in office, voters gave the Government bad marks on 14 out of 15 key policy areas, from taxation to immigration. The YouGov survey, conducted over the past month, makes grim reading for the Prime Minister, who has struggled with plummeting approval ratings since entering No 10. It indicates the scale of the challenge he faces to win back the public's trust amid the rise of Reform UK, with Labour still reeling from disastrous results at last month's local elections. Asked how the Government was faring in 15 key policy areas, voters indicated that terrorism was the only one they thought Sir Keir was handling well, with a net score of +3. The 14 other issues all received net negative ratings, with immigration the lowest at -60, followed closely by taxation on -58 and welfare on -53. Sir Keir also got bad marks on the economy, with a net score of -52, as well as housing, the NHS, crime, inflation, unemployment, Brexit, the environment, education, transport and defence. The survey, published on Thursday, was conducted between May 3 and June 2, using a representative sample of 8,538 British people. It will come as a blow to the Prime Minister before the spending review next week, at which the Chancellor is expected to unveil cuts to day-to-day spending to keep within her self-imposed fiscal rules. The positive feedback on Labour's handling of terrorism will be encouraging for the Government, suggesting Sir Keir is broadly trusted to keep the country safe. But the lack of confidence in the Prime Minister's ability to tackle the small boats crisis will concern No 10 as Reform storms ahead in the opinion polls. A similarly dire score on welfare suggests Sir Keir has work to do to win back Labour's traditional supporters on the Left, many of whom were dismayed by his sweeping cuts to benefits earlier this year. No 11 will also be disappointed by the lack of faith in Labour's ability to handle the economy, despite Rachel Reeves's attempt to put fiscal responsibility front and centre of her plans. Sir Keir declared Reform his main opposition last month, setting him up for a battle with Nigel Farage on highly charged issues such as migration and net zero. Meanwhile, the Reform leader parked his tanks on Labour's lawn by promising to reverse the cut to winter fuel payments for pensioners in full and lift the two-child benefit cap. The YouGov poll found that nearly three-quarters of voters thought Sir Keir was doing 'very badly' or 'fairly badly' on immigration, compared to just 13 per cent who thought he was doing well. Labour has been accused of losing control of Britain's borders after close to 1,200 small boat migrants crossed the Channel in a single day.

Former president Donald Trump and Tesla CEO Elon Musk's relationship started rocky, but the pair have since reconciled, with Musk fully endorsing Trump and interviewing him on X Spaces on August 12. In 2022, Elon Musk and Donald Trump publicly feuded on X, then still known as Twitter. Trump called Musk a liar and "bulls**t artist" during a rally in Alaska. "Elon is not going to buy Twitter," Trump said at the time. "You know, he said the other day, 'I've never voted for a Republican.' I said, 'I didn't know that - you told me you voted for me. So he's another bulls**t artist, but he's not going to be buying it." In response to Trump's critiques, the SpaceX founder clapped back. "I don't hate the man, but it's time for Trump to hang up his hat & sail into the sunset," Musk posted. Musk also went on to buy X months later. The X owner said he had previously voted mostly for Democrats since becoming a United States citizen in 2002. Musk initially backed Florida Governor Ron DeSantis to be the Republican Party's presidential nominee. "My preference for the 2024 presidency is someone sensible and centrist," Musk wrote on X in 2022. "I had hoped that would [be] the case for the Biden administration, but have been disappointed so far." His shift in political parties might be attributed to his plummeting relationship with President Joe Biden who didn't invite Musk to the 2021 White House electric vehicle summit. Despite their past issues, Trump and Musk's relationship took a turn in March after they met at Mar-a-Lago. Trump was also previously against electric vehicles but has since changed his stance. "I'm for electric cars," he said at a rally earlier this month. "I have to be, because Elon endorsed me very strongly. So I have no choice." Following the assassination attempt at Trump's rally in July, Musk announced his support for the former president. "I fully endorse President Trump and hope for his rapid recovery," Musk wrote on X after the shooting. During a recent press conference, Trump spoke highly of Musk. "I respect Elon a lot. He respects me," he said. "Elon, more than almost anybody I know, he loves this country. He loves the concept of this country, but like me, he says this country is in big trouble, it's in tremendous danger." Musk has been pictured at events at Mar-a-Lago and the UFC, buddying up with Trump. Trump selected Musk to lead the Department of Government Efficiency - a taskforce aimed at cutting bureaucracy.
