RE&UP Accelerates Circular Textiles at Global Industry Events

In a defining week for sustainable fashion, RE&UP, a trailblazer in recycled polycotton solutions, took center stage at two premier international forums: the Global Fashion Summit in Copenhagen and the Textiles Recycling Expo in Brussels. Uniting innovation with impact, the company brought forward critical insights on next-gen materials, textile recycling, and the infrastructure required to scale circularity.
At the Global Fashion Summit, Andreas Dorner, General Manager at RE&UP, contributed to the Fibre Futures panel on the Ignite Stage, sharing deep insights into polycotton innovation. 'When it comes to polycotton, RE&UP is the go-to solution provider,' Dorner stated, reinforcing the company's expertise in tackling one of the industry's most complex blended fabrics.
Meanwhile, Ebru Özküçük Guler, Chief Sustainability Officer, moderated a high-impact session titled What is Next-Gen?, featuring speakers from the European Environment Agency and Fashion for Good. 'The shift to next-gen materials isn't just about innovation,' she emphasized, 'it's about building the systems to scale them responsibly.'
In Brussels, at the Textiles Recycling Expo, RE&UP's Marco Lucietti, Head of Global Marketing and Communications, joined a panel discussion on Scaling Recycled Content: Turning Ambition into Industry Reality. His insights tackled the need for robust infrastructure, policy alignment, and investment to turn promises into performance. 'The energy was high and the message was clear: it's time to turn circularity from a commitment into a capability,' Lucietti shared.
Across both events, RE&UP's message resonated strongly: innovation without scalability and accountability is not enough. From pioneering recycled polycotton applications to shaping circular infrastructure, RE&UP continues to turn bold ideas into transformative action.
As textile sustainability accelerates into a new era, RE&UP remains committed to pushing boundaries, sparking dialogue, and delivering solutions that turn theory into impact.

Independence Day 2025: Swadeshi model key to achieving Viksit Bharat, says Yogi Adityanath

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath addressed the public on the occasion of India's 79th Independence Day and highlighted his commitment towards attaining Viksit Bharat and Atmanirbhar Uttar Pradesh under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He said that India will become 'the world's greatest power' by 2047 if citizens do their bit by supporting Swadeshi goods and doing their duties. 'If every citizen fulfils their duties, this goal will be achieved sooner, and India will emerge as the world's greatest power by 2047,' he said. Highlighting UP's role in the country's growth, he reminded citizens that Independence does not mean 'arrogance or unrestrained freedom'. Yogi Adityanath then urged every resident of the state to carry out their responsibilities to the state with utmost sincerity. 'India has become the world's fourth largest economy' Yogi Adityanath then highlighted India's achievements under the BJP-led NDA government, which came to power in 2014 and is now in its third term. He said that the country has emerged as the fourth-largest economy in the world in the past 11 years. देश की स्वतंत्रता अनगिनत त्याग और बलिदान का परिणाम है...आप सभी को 79वें स्वतंत्रता दिवस की हार्दिक बधाई! 'In 2014, India was the world's 11th largest economy, and it has now become the 4th largest economy,' added the CM. Shifting his attention to Operation Sindoor, a military strike carried out by India on Pakistan after the Pahalgam terrorist attack in May, Yogi Adityanath said that it highlighted the strength of Made in India weapons. 'BrahMos missiles and Made in India drones manufactured in Lucknow have established India's capabilities globally,' said Yogi Adityanath. He also lauded the valour shown by the Indian Army and thanked soldiers for courageously defending the borders. Yogi Adityanath urges people to support the swadeshi goods The CM went to urge people to use 'swadeshi' goods in all walks of life to make the economy stronger. He emphasised that this would prove to be a blessing for artisans and entrepreneurs. On a parting note, he urged people to buy swadeshi gifts instead of imported ones, and send out a strong message

SBI Hikes Home Loan Rates By 25 Bps: EMIs To Get Costlier For New Borrowers, Check New Rates

Last Updated: SBI Home Loan Rate Hike: SBI has revised home loan interest rates effective August 1, 2025. This impacts borrowers with higher EMIs. SBI Home Loan Interest Rate Hike: The State Bank of India (SBI) has revised its home and home-related loan interest rates effective from August 1, 2025. As per the report of Economic Times, regular home loans (term loans) will now be available in the range of 7.50% to 8.70%. The bank has raised the upper band of interest rates by 25 basis points. Earlier, SBI's home loan interest rates ranged between 7.50% and 8.45%, but now they stand between 7.50% and 8.70%. This means the lower limit remains unchanged, while the upper limit has been increased. New rates are effective from 1st August 2025. SBI's home loan rate hike came on the heels of RBI's decision to keep the repo rate unchanged at 5.55 per cent in the latest MPC meeting in August. The Max gain overdraft facility will attract interest rates ranging from 7.75% to 8.95%. Top-up loans have become relatively costlier, with rates between 8.00% and 10.75%, and overdraft top-up loans fixed at 8.25% to 9.45%. Loan against property (P-LAP) now comes at 9.20% to 10.75%, whereas reverse mortgage loans are fixed at 10.55%. SBI has also kept the YONO Insta Home Top-Up Loan at 8.35%. The bank has clarified that all home loan rates remain linked to the External Benchmark Lending Rate (EBLR), which currently stands at 8.15%. How SBI's Hike May Impact Borrowers SBI's decision to raise the upper limit of home loan interest rates from 8.45% to 8.70% will directly impact borrowers opting for loans at the higher end of the band. While the lower limit remains unchanged at 7.50%, those whose credit profile or loan category places them near the upper slab will now face slightly higher EMIs and overall repayment burden. Even though the hike is just 25 basis points, the effect over long tenures can be significant. For example, on a Rs 30 lakh loan with a 20-year tenure, the EMI at 8.45% was about Rs 25,830. At the new rate of 8.70%, the EMI rises to Rs 26,278 — a difference of around Rs 450 every month. Over the loan's lifetime, this translates into an additional outgo of more than Rs 1 lakh. Borrowers with larger loans, say Rs 50 lakh or above, will see the impact magnified further. This makes homeownership costlier, especially for new buyers stretching their budgets. A borrower takes a home loan of Rs 30 lakh for 20 years.
