Initial media reports claimed that Rozik was taken into custody on suspicion of theft. However, his management team refuted these allegations in a statement to The Khaleej Times, 'First of all, he was not arrested—he was only detained by the police. Abdu Rozik provided an explanation and was released. He will be attending the award ceremony in Dubai today.'
The representative from the S-Line Project (Rozik's talent management agency) added, 'Secondly, information in the media is not correct. We will take all legal action to protect Abdu Rozik and his image. Also, we will provide you with all the information later on to inform the Indian people. Believe us, we have a lot to say regarding this issue.'

The Bigg Boss 16 contestant also responded to the news by posting a story on his Instagram. He later shared several videos of himself at the award function in Dubai. In one of the clips, Rozik was seen alongside his Bigg Boss 16 co-contestant and close friend, Shiv Thakare.
On the work front, Rozik was last seen on Laughter Chefs Season 2, but had to exit the show after a few weeks due to visa-related issues that required him to return home.

He enthralled audiences across generations with his riveting performances. He was also at the forefront of social service and worked towards empowering the poor and downtrodden. Earlier, Tripura Governor Indra Sena Reddy Nallu expressed deep grief and extended heartfelt condolences to the family of veteran Telugu actor Kota Srinivasa Rao after the actor's demise. In an official statement, the Governor described the demise as an 'irreparable loss to the Telugu film industry.' Expressing his shock and sorrow, Governor Reddy said, 'The demise of the renowned actor Kota Srinivasa Rao, who won the affection of cinema audiences with his versatile roles, is deeply saddening. His artistic contributions to the fields of cinema and theatre over nearly four decades, and the roles he portrayed, will remain unforgettable.'
