Patrick Dempsey to Lead Fox Drama Series Memory of a Killer About Hitman With Early Onset Alzheimer's
Set to premiere sometime during the 2025–2026 TV season, the series is inspired by the 2003 Belgian film De Zaak Alzheimer (La Memoire Du Tueur). Dempsey stars as Angelo Ledda, 'a hitman leading a dangerous double life, while hiding an even deadlier personal secret,' according to Fox.

Spoiler alert: that 'personal secret' is that Angelo develops early onset Alzheimer's. This presents a number of complications for Angelo, especially as he juggles his two personas: 'fearsome NYC hitman and sleepy upstate Cooperstown photocopier salesman and father'
'Alzheimer's is a foe he can't outrun, and he knows too well how this ends, as his older brother is already lost to the condition,' reads the official logline. 'Angelo is exceptionally resourceful and talented, the best of the best. But he's about to be tested like never before — and now every minute counts. This is only made more difficult when he discovers that his wife's recent death may not have been an accident. So, when someone comes after his daughter — who is pregnant — it's clear the wall between his lives has been breached. Angelo must stop whoever's coming for his family by searching his past hits for clues, and the list is very long.'
The logline continues: 'Now Angelo must hunt down his mortal enemy while continuing to carry out hits without giving away his diagnosis and still making it home in time to cook dinner for his daughter. Memory of a Killer is a redemptive story about a man who is losing his memory but gaining a conscience. Because Angelo knows he must stop history from repeating itself and save his family — before he forgets the past.'
Memory of a Killer was developed by Ed Whitmore and Tracey Malone, who are executive-producing alongside Cathy Schulman, Arthur Sarkissian, Martin Campbell and Peter Bouckaert.

Countdown's Uli Latukefu Stands by Finau's Bold, Protocol-Breaking Move: ‘It's Every Father's Worst Nightmare'
The following contains spoilers from Episode 9 of , now streaming on Prime Video. This week on Prime Video's Countdown, personally extenuating circumstances led LAPD gangs and narcotics officer Lucas Finau to break protocol and exhibit atypically audacious behavior — all during a critical juncture in Hurricane Task Force's ongoing manhunt. More from TVLine Outlander: Blood of My Blood Cast Go Deep on the Premiere: Ellen's Feistiness, Henry's PTSD, a Game of Thrones Nod (?) and More - Watch Resident Alien Series Finale: Alan Tudyk, Creator Chris Sheridan Talk Harry's Fate, Saying Goodbye and Possible Future Reunion Casting News: 9-1-1: Nashville Books Kane Brown, Patrick Dempsey's Fox Drama Adds 2 and More In Episode 9 (of 13), new clues led the task force to surmise that Volchek was targeting 'The Vine,' a densely populated outdoor shopping plaza, with two truckloads of explosives. Arriving on the scene, SAC Blythe (Euphoria's Eric Dane) — just barely up and around after getting stabbed last episode! — tasked Shepherd (The Flash's Violett Beane) and Bell (The Boys' Elliot Knight) with assessing the detonation system, while Meachum (Supernatural's Jensen Ackles), Oliveras (All Rise's Jessica Camacho) and Finau (Young Rock's Uli Latukefu) fanned out to deftly look for Volchek in the crowd. That quiet, controlled manhunt took a turn, though, as soon as Finau realized that his wife Amina (Nicole Lyn) and daughters Kennedy (Autumn Layne) and Cameron (Grace Jenkins) were there at The Vine, as part of a school field trip. Distraught to see his own family in great harm's way, Finau used his sidearm to fire multiple shots into the ground, to grab the crowd's attention and then bellow at them to clear out. More than a bit of chaos ensued. 'I mean, it's every father's worst nightmare' to see their kids in jeopardy, Latukefu told TVLine of Finau's impulsive act. 'As a father myself, it definitely is mine.' Finau firing his gun amidst throngs of innocent civilians, even at the ground, 'goes against every protocol that they're taught,' the actor acknowledges. 'But I think that in the heat of the moment, any father would do that, any mother would do that. Work is work and family is family. And Finau's first priority is his family.' Countdown castmate Elliot Knight, sitting next to Latukefu during our Zoom, said that the task force having a family man like Finau is not a bug, but a feature. 'I think that's an important part of why Blythe has put together this team of people,' Bell's portrayer posits. 'These aren't just people who are good at their jobs and will do whatever they're told to do; he knows that each agent has their own edge, and maybe they begin and end at different points. And there are points where breaking protocol might be the right thing or the best thing to do in that moment. 'It's not predictable' how any given agent might be specifically affected by a situation, Knight notes, 'but there is an edge there that you hopefully have over the enemy you're trying to beat.' Jimmy Kimmel's Greg Gutfeld Interview Sparks Criticism
Jimmy Fallon is facing criticism after hosting Fox News's Greg Gutfeld on The Tonight Show. If you're unfamiliar, Greg hosts the news and political satire show Gutfeld! on Fox. He's known for his edgy comedy style, conservative views, and a number of controversial comments — from suggesting that conservatives should reclaim the word "Nazi" like "the Blacks" reclaimed the n-word to saying crime would "disappear" in the absence of women and his "oversimplifications" in discussing the Holocaust. He appeared on The Tonight Show on Thursday night, and while the conversation largely steered away from politics, viewers were still very annoyed at Jimmy for platforming Greg. Taking to Reddit, one person asked, "why he's being platformed? Has anyone seen this guy's schlocky nonsense? No one ever needed to talk about him? We still don't." Another felt that "Fallon has always been a 'yes to everyone' man. The guy's got almost zero convictions." "I fucking loathe Fallon," someone confessed, "and this is a prime example as to why." Another shared similar sentiments as they admitted, "I've never liked Fallon. At all. I like him less now." Someone declared, "There is no defense of this. This dude is part of the tinderbox that is MAGA. Fallon having him on means I now hate Jimmy Fallon. I've given him every benefit of the doubt throughout the last 2 decades, but this seals it for me." Other viewers were disappointed but not surprised by the interview, remembering how Jimmy famously hosted Donald Trump on The Tonight Show in 2016. "Fallon has normalized the right's worst before," one person wrote alongside a GIF of the infamous moment when Jimmy ruffled Trump's hair. "this is nothing new." Another questioned Jimmy's sincerity when he expressed regret for the aforementioned moment with Trump. "Remember when Fallon went on a brief redemption tour and talked about how gutted he was about normalizing Trump with that hair ruffle and how he'd been brooding about it for years? Guess he's changed his mind," they said. Some suspected he was "trying real hard to stay off the chopping block" following the July cancellation of The Late Show with Stephen Colbert. "Jimmy's afraid of getting cancelled too," one person speculated. "More kissing the ring. However, some people didn't completely fault Jimmy. One Reddit user pointed out, "He's not the talent booker so I guess a whole bunch of people their are fascists. So gross." Let me know what you think of all of this below. He posted a reel from the upcoming season, with an accompanying caption that read, "This was the most exciting experience of an age! Tune in and watch me and my peers suffer! Wanna see me cry? No…like full-on sobbing!" This rare social media post surprised many Sister Wives fans, who believed Kody was still contractually obligated to TLC and therefore, would be unable to film for another network.
