The high street lender plans to hike fees for customers who are signed up for its Club Lloyd's package.

Club Lloyds is a type of current account that provides extra benefits compared to their standard account.
It runs like a typical account, allowing direct debits, standing orders, and other standard banking operations.
However, it also offers a range of lifestyle benefits such as a Disney plus subscription, cashback rewards, and access to linked savings accounts with preferential interest rates.
Club membership currently has a monthly fee of £3, but this is waived £2,000 or more is deposited into the account each month.
However, this is set to change next week.
Come June 2, this fee will be hiked to £5 for users of the service.
That means customers could end up paying an extra £24 a year if they do not meet the £2,000 threshold.
This change will also affect customers with Club Lloyds Silver and Club Lloyds Platinum current accounts.
That's because users charged the standard Club Lloyds monthly fee in addition to their respective account fees of £11.50 per month for Silver and £22.50 per month for Platinum.
But it is not all bad news for members.
Back in April, the bank said Club Lloyd customers would no longer pay foreign currency or cash withdrawal fees when using their debit cards abroad.
Lloyds Bank also increased the interest-free allowance on Club Lloyds arranged overdrafts.
These services were already available for Club Lloyds Silver and Club Lloyds Platinum current accounts.
An overdraft enables you to borrow money through your current account if you run out of cash.

Currently, customers pay a monthly fee of £15, totalling £180 a year.
But starting from July 1, this fee will increase to £18 a month—an extra £36 annually.

The moves comes after rate-setters on the BoE's Monetary Policy Committee cut the base rate from 4.5% to 4.25%.
said it will lower the interest on 58 of its saving accounts.
That includes its Five Access Saver which will have its interest rates lowered from 3.77% AER to 3.55% come June 27.

Revealed: Liverpool boss Arne Slot 'flew to France for face-to-face talks with £35m Man City target Rayan Cherki last week'

Liverpool head coach Arne Slot held talks with Lyon midfielder Rayan Cherki in the south of France last week, according to reports. The Premier League champions are currently in negotiations with Bayer Leverkusen to sign primary target Florian Wirtz after a £109million bid was rejected on Monday. The Bundesliga side want £120million for their star man, which would be a British record transfer fee, and it is believed that both clubs are keen to find a middle ground. However, before the Reds' move for Wirtz accelerated, it has been revealed by the Athletic that Slot took time away from his own holiday to speak with Cherki, who is a target for Manchester City. Such conversations between Liverpool and the French starlet are not believed to have progressed any further, and the Merseyside club are focusing on getting the Wirtz deal over the line. Meanwhile, City have since opened talks with Lyon over Cherki, who is valued around £35million.

Concerns Thames Water may need government bailout as bidder withdraws

US private equity firm KKR has withdrawn from plans to invest over £3 billion in Thames Water, a heavily indebted water supplier. Thames Water is now in talks with senior creditors for an alternative plan to stabilise its finances, engaging with regulator Ofwat and other stakeholders. Thames Water chairman Sir Adrian Montague expressed disappointment but affirmed his commitment to working towards 'sustainable recapitalisation'. The withdrawal of KKR raises concerns about a potential temporary government nationalisation if a rescue deal cannot be secured. Thames Water faces approximately £19 billion in debt, and a recent report called for a "fundamental reset" of the water sector in England and Wales due to systemic failures.

Premium Bonds prize checker: When is June's NS&I draw and how can I check if I've won?

Every month, savers have the chance to win big prizes as the Premium Bonds winning numbers are announced. There are now 24 million people taking part in the government-backed savings scheme, with more than £127bn banked. Premium bonds are an investment product from the National Savings and Investment (NS&I), which is owned by the government. Each month, millions of savers are entered into a prize draw to win cash prizes ranging from £25 to £1 million, with two millionaires made at every draw. Every £1 entered has a 22,000-to-one chance of winning. The minimum investment is £25, while the maximum is £50,000. These savings don't accrue interest as with regular bank accounts, but are put up against a random digital prize picker called 'Ernie' – the Electronic Random Number Indicator Equipment. The date of this month's draw is Monday 2 June. The results of this draw are available a day later and released by the NS&I here. What are the chances of winning? There are many premium bond winners every month, but the actual chance of winning remains fairly low. Most people will never win a prize, meaning their investment will stay the same. However, the scheme is also risk-free, meaning money won't be lost either. Analysis by money expert Martin Lewis found that the 'interest rate' on premium bonds accounts is 4 per cent when all winnings are considered – but notes most people won't see anything like this. Many savings accounts in the UK also offer a higher interest rate than this, which will be far more consistent. The distribution of prizes changes slightly every month. Here were the results in January 2025: £1 million x 2 £100,000 x 82 £50,000 x 163 £25,000 x 328 £10,000 x 818 £5,000 x 1,636 £1,000 x 17,163 £500 x 51,489 £100 x 1,987,844 £50 x 1,987,844 £25 x 1,803,871 How to check if you've won To check if you've won a prize on premium bonds, you can visit the NS&I checker on its website and enter your bond numbers. There is also an NS&I app which allows savers to check results on the go.
