Clyde searches conclude after man overboard from ferry
All of Western Ferries' vessels joined the search, as did the CalMac ferry MV Ali Cat and a number of private vessels.
The search was suspended at around 8.30pm on Sunday, but after coastguard teams were spotted at the McInroy's Point terminal the following day, HM Coastguard confirmed that teams from Greenock, Helensburgh, Kames and Dunoon had resumed the search on Monday.
However, in a further statement on Tuesday, the coastguard confirmed that the teams involved in the search had since been stood down with nothing having been found.
Police Scotland, who confirmed on Monday that a 64-year-old man had been reported missing from the ferry, also said that searches of the water had concluded.

Western Ferries and CalMac vessels took part in the search, that was also comprised of two RNLI crews, five coastguard teams, a number of private vessels as well as Police Scotland vessels.
Rescue teams were seen at McInroy's Point ferry terminal in Gourock on Monday, before HM Coastguard told the Tele that teams from Greenock, Helensburgh, Kames and Dunoon had been sent that afternoon to assist in the search.
In a statement issued to the Tele at lunchtime on Tuesday, a spokesperson for HM Coastguard said: "At around 1.24pm on Sunday, June 15, HM Coastguard received reports of a person overboard from a ferry travelling between Hunters Quay and Gourock, Scotland.
"An HM Coastguard rescue helicopter and fixed wing aircraft were sent, alongside coastguard rescue teams from Dunoon, Greenock, Kames, and Largs.
"Lifeboats from Helensburgh and Largs also joined the search. The search was stood down at around 4.30pm on June 16, with nothing found."
Police Scotland also confirmed that searches of the water across the five mile stretch between Gourock and Cowal, had concluded.
Enquiries remain ongoing.

Chief Inspector James McArthur said: "Around 1.40pm on Sunday, June 15 we received a report of a 64-year-old man missing from a ferry travelling between Gourock and Dunoon.
"Police and partner agencies including the Coastguard attended and extensive searches have been carried out on the water and shorelines. Local officers have been assisted by our dive and marine unit and air support unit.
"The water searches have concluded. However our enquiries remain ongoing and officers are providing support to his family."

Man with 'distinctive tattoo' missing for two days
Police say Andrew Newlands is believed to have travelled to London in a car. Police have launched a frantic search in an effort to trace a Scots man who vanished two days ago. Andrew Newlands, 45, was last seen around 7.45am on Tuesday, July 29, in the Mains of Tannachy area of Portgordon in Moray. Young boy sexually assaulted at Scots campsite as suspect 'fled the area'
An eight-year-old boy was attacked while in his tent just yards from where his family had set up camp. Cops have launched a major manhunt after a predator sexually assaulted a young boy at a Scots campsite before they fled the area. An eight-year-old boy was preyed on whilst in his tent just yards from where his family had camped up. The sickening attack happened between 12.20am and 1am on Thursday morning at Loch Ness Bay Campsite, Drumnadrochit. A man approached the child within his tent. Police say he sexually assaulted the boy before leaving the area. The horror incident happened whilst the boy was on a camping trip with his family. Specialist officers have been drafted in to support the boy and traumatised loved ones. Detectives are now desperately trying to trace the male suspect who they have described as a white man, aged between 35-50-years-old. He is around 5ft 10ins tall and bald. Officers swarmed the popular campsite today as they promised extra patrols in an attempt to reassure the local community. CID have been pouring through CCTV footage and say they are carrying out enquiries in the local area. Senior detectives have appealed to campers for help and asked anyone who saw something suspicious to get in touch. They have described their investigation as "significant" into what they say will be a "worrying and upsetting" incident for residents. A full statement from Police Scotland reads: "Detectives are appealing for information in connection with the sexual assault of an eight-year-old boy in Drumnadrochit. "Between 12.20am and 1am on Thursday, 31, July, 2025, a man approached the child within his tent at the Loch Ness Bay Campsite. His family were in an adjacent tent. "He sexually assaulted the boy before leaving the area. "The suspect is described as a white man, aged between 35 to 50-years-old, around 5ft 10ins tall, and bald. "Extensive enquiries are ongoing, and specialist officers are supporting the boy and his family. Detective Inspector Christopher Macleod said: 'This sexual assault was carried out on a young boy, who was camping overnight with his family and it is vital we trace the man responsible as soon as possible. "A dedicated team of officers are carrying out investigations, including carrying out enquiries in the local area and reviewing all available CCTV footage. "I would urge anyone who was staying in the Drumnadrochit area to come forward, as any piece of information, no matter how small or insignificant you think it is, could prove vital. Dog mauled police officer and left him 'screaming in pain' as owner ran away
PC Mark Moreland-Francis was mauled by the Staffordshire bull terrier-type dog in April after Andre Willis let the animal off its lead, Bournemouth Crown Court heard A man who fled as his out-of-control dog savagely attacked a police officer has been jailed. Andre Willis, 32, of South Norwood, London, ran off when his Staffordshire bull terrier-type dog mauled PC Mark Moreland-Francis as he approached his car in Thwaite Road in Poole, Dorset. The incident took place on April 4, and the dog was later shot dead after days on the loose. At Bournemouth Crown Court today, Willis was jailed for 22 months. He previously admitted an offence under the Dangerous Dogs Act, as well as driving while disqualified. He was also disqualified from driving for 55 months. Willis had previous convictions for drug dealing and assaulting a police constable. It comes after news a nursery teacher drowned her partner's four-year-old daughter in sickening attack. Judge Jonathan Fuller KC told him: "This was an awful attack by a Staffordshire-type cross terrier, which are intimidating dogs and capable of causing even more serious harm. Anyone listening to the video of the officer screaming in pain and fear would recognise the seriousness of what that dog did and you allowed it to do." On April 8 this year, Dorset Police responded to a concerned call at around 1pm and spent a number of hours attempting to safely capture the escaped dog. However, the decision was ultimately made to put it down using a firearm when their attempts failed. A spokesperson for Dorset Police said: "Regrettably, having explored all other options, the dog was put down by officers due to the ongoing threat it posed to the public. The decision was made after exploring all other contingencies while balancing the safety to the public." This comes after a dog was killed and its owner seriously injured in a park attack in Aberdeen which police are treating as an attempted murder. A 51-year-old man was taken to hospital following a 'disturbance' in Eric Hendrie Park on Sunday at about 8.30pm. Officers were called to a report of a vehicle in the park and a disturbance taking place which resulted in the death of the victim's XL bully dog. The owner of the dog was taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary, where medical staff said his condition was serious but stable. A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: 'Inquiries are ongoing in the area to trace everyone involved.' The force said that the victim was not struck by a car. Detective Sergeant Emma Low said: 'Our investigation is at an early stage to establish the exact circumstances surrounding this incident. 'Any witnesses or anyone with information is asked to contact officers through 101 quoting incident number 3236 of July 27.
