What! Priya Bapat Reveals Spooky Experience On Andhera Set: ‘That Place Had…'
Known for her magnetic screen presence, Priya Bapat recently starred in the supernatural thriller Andhera. The series has been gaining a lot of appreciation from viewers and critics alike. The horror thriller managed to unnerve us for real, and for Priya Bapat, it was the location that sent a shiver down her spine.
An abandoned hospital, steeped in silence and shadows, became the cast's makeshift set — and for Priya, it felt less like a location and more like walking into the pages of a real-life horror story.
Recalling her eeriest scene, Priya shared, 'The hospital had this heavy, dark energy. It was a real hospital once, but abandoned for years, completely as if time just stopped. On the first day, Prajakta, Karanvir, and I walked in together, and we all had the same reaction — 'What place is this?!' Then the team casually tells us, 'You'll be shooting here at 3 a.m.' That place had its own vibe, and we were living in it."
Further adding about her character, she said, 'Playing a fierce, strong character was the opposite of that fear, but fear exists in everyone. It's just about the circumstances that bring it out. For me, it wasn't about exploring my own fears, but about understanding what my character (Kalpana) must have faced in her journey. And honestly, I really enjoyed it — the action, firing bullets, running around as a cop, the chases, it had everything."
News18 Reviews Andhera
Andhera has been gaining great reviews, and at News18, we gave the series 3.5 stars. A part of our review reads, 'Andhera is flawed, yes, but its ambition is a rare and necessary thing. It understands that horror is not only in the monsters we see but in the spaces they leave empty, the truths they make us whisper instead of speak. Should it return with a steadier hand and a sharper ear for its own rhythm, it could grow into something unforgettable. For now, it stands as a half-built cathedral to the genre, filled with corridors you cannot help but walk down, even as the light behind you goes out."
About Andhera
Produced by Ritesh Sidhwani, Farhan Akhtar, Kassim Jagmagia, Vishal Ramchandani, Mohit Shah, and Karan Anshuman under the banner of Excel Entertainment, Andhera is created by Gaurav Desai. Justin Baldoni Reacts To 'It Ends With Us' Actor Isabela's Harassment Claims: 'Inappropriate Attack'
Last Updated: Justin Baldoni rejects Isabela Ferrer's bullying and harassment allegations, calling her claims 'without merit' in ongoing legal dispute over It Ends With Us. Justin Baldoni has officially addressed accusations made by Isabela Ferrer, who claimed she faced bullying and harassment from the It Ends With Us director. The allegations emerged amid a legal battle involving Blake Lively, according to People. Isabela Ferrer's Allegations Against Justin Baldoni Isabela Ferrer, who portrayed the younger version of Blake Lively's character Lily, alleged that Baldoni and his production company Wayfarer Studios treated her unfairly during legal proceedings. Her legal team said that after being subpoenaed by Blake Lively's side earlier this year, Ferrer requested reimbursement for her legal costs as per her contract. According to her attorneys, Wayfarer Studios refused payment unless Ferrer allowed them to control her response to Lively's subpoena. Her lawyers further claimed that Baldoni attempted to manipulate and intimidate her through 'inappropriate conduct" during the process. Justin Baldoni's Response In court documents filed on Monday, August 18, Baldoni's legal team strongly denied these claims. People obtained filings in which his lawyers described Ferrer's allegations as 'primarily an inappropriate attack upon Mr. Baldoni and his counsel relating to matters not before the Court and irrelevant." Baldoni's attorneys argued that the subpoena from his side was valid, aiming to collect documents either not previously provided or outside the scope of her original subpoena from Lively's team in February. They added that issuing the subpoena does not constitute harassment, calling her claims 'without merit." The Bigger Picture This dispute has heightened tension in the ongoing high-profile legal situation surrounding It Ends With Us. In January, Baldoni publicly shared a text exchange with Ferrer, indicating that the conflict had been simmering for months. The trial is officially scheduled for March 2026. Coolie Box Office Collection Day 6: Rajinikanth Film Earns Rs 214 Crore Despite Dip
Last Updated: Rajinikanth's Coolie earns Rs 214 crore in India in 6 days. Despite weekday dip, the Lokesh Kanagaraj directorial has crossed Rs 400 crore worldwide. Superstar Rajinikanth's latest release Coolie, directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, is witnessing a steady decline in its weekday box office numbers. However, the film has still managed to cross Rs 200 crore in India and Rs 400 crore worldwide, solidifying its place as one of the biggest blockbusters of the year despite stiff competition from Hrithik Roshan and Jr NTR's War 2. As per trade portal Sacnilk, Coolie collected Rs 8.11 crore net in India on Tuesday, taking its six-day total to Rs 214.61 crore. The film had a massive opening day with Rs 65 crore, followed by Rs 54.75 crore on Friday, showing a 15% dip. Over the weekend, collections stood at Rs 39.5 crore on Saturday and Rs 35.25 crore on Sunday. Monday witnessed a drop to Rs 12 crore, but still remained steady for a weekday. With this, Coolie has not only crossed Rs 200 crore in India but also surpassed Rs 400 crore globally, entering the list of Rajinikanth's highest-grossing films. Competition and Comparisons While Coolie is leading ahead of War 2, which is still playing in theatres, it faces competition from other big releases like Saiyaara (Rs 324.75 crore net in India) and Chhaava (Rs 601.57 crore net in India). Despite this, trade experts believe Coolie is holding its ground and will continue to perform well in the coming days. However, it is yet to beat the lifetime business of Lokesh Kanagaraj's previous blockbusters. His 2022 film Vikram grossed Rs 247 crore net in India, while Leo minted an impressive Rs 341.04 crore net. About the film Coolie follows the story of Deva, played by Rajinikanth, a former union leader who sets out to uncover the truth behind his friend Rajasekhar's (Sathyaraj) death. His quest leads him into a fierce battle with gangster Simon (Nagarjuna) and his aide Dayal (Soubin Shahir). The film also stars Shruti Haasan, Rachita Ram, Upendra and Aamir Khan in key roles. Though the film has received mixed reviews, fans continue to throng theatres, ensuring Coolie stays strong at the box office.
