Don't Miss Supergoop's 20% Off Sale For Prime Day
The wildly popular Glowscreen SPF 40 for anyone who wants a super glowy, lit-from-within complexion at all times. Better yet, it doubles as a makeup-gripping primer, so your glow will shine through your foundation while keeping you protected.
Promising review: "I've tried a lot of sunscreen and primers over the last year. I mean A LOT. My skin is super sensitive, acne-prone, and prone to dryness and redness. (Complicated, I know) This stuff doesn't feel heavy and moisturizes really well while not feeling like I'll break out later. It protected my skin from sunburn during six hours at Six Flags. I don't wear a ton of makeup, but the foundation and bronzer I wore didn't budge or crease. It makes your skin glow like [wild], which alone is a bit much for me, but under some foundation, it looks amazing! Def worth the buy and will buy again." —H.E.Price: $17.60+ (originally $22+; available in three sizes and four shades)
Mattescreen SPF 40 with a buildable tint that's so mattifying and blurring, many reviewers say they skip makeup when wearing it (although it does work perfectly as a primer!). It goes on whipped and airy, so it'll basically feel like there's nothing there.
Promising review: "Finally a MATTE sun product from Supergoop! — a brand that really works for me. I am so happy with this — it feels like NOTHING and mattes down like a primer, but it's SPF and tinted. I am very fair-skinned, burn easily, and so far (one week of using daily) nothing but clear matte skin." —truth alwaysPrice: $19.20+ (originally $24; available in two sizes)
The highly rated (Re)setting Mineral Powder, which Amazon has sold a whopping 10,000+ of in the last month. This SPF 35 PA+++ powder sets your makeup, absorbs excess oil, and keeps you matte for hours. It won't replace your liquid sunscreen, but it is the perfect way to top up your sun protection while you're on the go — and for applying to your scalp!
Note: Powdered sunscreens are best used for touching up, not as a replacement for traditional sunscreen (read more from the Cleveland Clinic).Promising review: "This is a game changer. Purchased in translucent and use it in my hair part to prevent burning. My son is a catcher, and he prefers this powder over normal sunscreen because it doesn't run into his eyes. This will be a summer staple for us." —Amazon CustomerPrice: $28 (originally $35)
The Supergoop Glow Stick with SPF 50, which manages to be totally invisible yet gorgeously glowy at the same time, unlike the thick, pasty sunscreens that are cluttering your skincare drawer. Reviewers say this feels more like a traditional moisturizer — and it's the perfect body sunscreen if you want that ☀️ summer glow. ☀️
Promising review: "I love this sunscreen. It goes on smooth, not oily or greasy, and doesn't leave a white residue. It doesn't irritate my sensitive skin. But best of all, [it] does not drip into your eyes when you sweat. Most sunscreens drip into your eyes and BURN. This one does not! It absorbs quickly and provides great sun protection. I use it over makeup and even for my children. This is the only sunscreen I use on my family's face." —Jason S.Price: $25.60 (originally $32)
An 18-ounce jug of the iconic Everyday SPF 50 Lotion you can park by your door as a reminder to apply before you leave your home. This is designed for both your face and body, so you can slather this all over when you're in a rush. Oh, and there's no white cast!
Prefer mineral sunscreen? You can also get the Mineral Sheer Screen SPF 30 on sale!Promising review: "I know this is pricey for sunscreen, but it really is the best. I originally got a small sample in a Birchbox subscription several years ago, and it was like the sunscreen I'd been searching for all my life. It goes on smoothly and stays put. It smells nice, you can use the same formula for face and body, and a little goes a long way. It also protects you from burning while still getting tan. I am self-conscious about dark spots and melasma, but I can be outside without worrying when I use Supergoop Play. I was thrilled to see Amazon offered it in this large size with a pump bottle." —Amazon CustomerPrice: $54.40 (originally $64.99)
The sprayable Play Antioxidant Body Mist that combines the sun-protecting powers of SPF 50 PA++++ with the brightening powers of vitamin C for the ultimate beach bag essential. It's super lightweight and designed to absorb quickly, and you can even apply it on wet skin! Honestly, the best feature might be that you can spray it from any angle, even upside down, which will make reapplying a breeze.
Promising review: "I've struggled to find a sunscreen that I like. This is by far the winner. Very minimal scent. At first, it's a little citrusy, but once it dries, there's almost no scent. Definitely not that sunscreen smell. And it's not greasy or sticky. Can't tell it's there." —Jennifer SPrice: $19.20 (originally $24)

Pierce Brosnan Would Totally Play James Bond Again, Y'Know, if They Asked Him To
It's inevitable that a new James Bond actor will be announced soon. Denis Villeneuve is directing, Steven Knight is writing, and Amazon is eager to get its big-ticket IP back into theaters. But what if those rumors of a younger star (Jacob Elordi, Harris Dickinson, Aaron Taylor-Johnson… take your pick among the names being tossed around) are just misdirection—and the studio decides to bet on a sure thing, skewing way older than Ian Fleming ever imagined for his signature character? It's a long shot, admittedly. But Pierce Brosnan, who played Bond in four movies (GoldenEye, Tomorrow Never Dies, The World Is Not Enough, and Die Another Day), says he's up for the challenge. Speaking to the Radio Times, the 72-year-old actor had a good-natured reaction to being asked if he thought the time was right for 'a senior citizen 007.' 'My wife Keely [Shaye Smith] and I have been listening to the drumbeat of expectation of who's going to be the next James Bond,' he said. 'There are many great candidates out there, and I'm sure they're going to make it a spectacle of delight. I don't think anyone wants to see a craggy, 72-year-old Bond, but if [next 007 director Denis] Villeneuve had something up his sleeve I would look at it in a heartbeat. Why not? It's great entertainment. It could be lots of laughs. Bald caps, prosthetics… who knows?' The oldest Bond to date: Roger Moore, who was 58 when he starred in 1985's A View to a Kill. While you can feel confident that Amazon is going to go in a different direction—by casting an actor in his late 20s, not early 70s—an elderly secret agent tale does sound like 'a spectacle of fun' in its own way. Even if he's not playing Bond in name, we could definitely see Brosnan stepping back into a similar role with, as he suggests, a more comedic flavor built in. Who's your top pick for the next James Bond? Let us know in the comments below. Want more io9 news? LEGO Star Wars Imperial Star Destroyer Suddenly Hits Rare Price Drop, One Even Black Friday Didn't Bring
If you're buying something for a Star Wars fan, then one of the best things you can check out is a Lego set. Sure, you can go for other bits of merchandise like a lightsaber, some plushies, or even a good action figure, but Lego just lasts, you know? Lego sets are also pretty expensive though, which means that you'll want to keep an eye out for discounts when they come up. Well, right now you can get yourself, or some other Star Wars fan, the Lego Star Wars Imperial Star Destroyer set while it's down to $145. That's a $15 discount on the normal price, which is a nice little saving while also getting an excellent and long-lasting toy to show off. See at Amazon Lego sets are amazing because they offer a chance to enjoy them in multiple stages. The most obvious one is that you, and maybe one or two people you love, get to put the thing together. With a set this size, that means you've got a couple of nights of fun ahead of you. Then you get to figure out where to put it, which can be stressful, but should allow for a bit of minor redecorating. Finally, you get to look at it and show it off, which is always a nice thing to be able to do. This set comes with a massive 1,555 pieces, and ends up being 16cm high, 46cm long, and 29cm deep. It not only looks amazing, but it actually has an interior filled with different rooms to play with, albeit for older kids. It actually features a hidden carry handle as well, allowing you to use it in flight, and 2 spring-loaded shooters for a more dramatic experience. While a lot of Lego sets do feel at their best when at rest, this one is a great one to actually play with as well. Just make sure nobody drops it, because we dread to think how tiring putting it back together would be. This is the perfect gift for any Star Wars fan who's looking for a new toy to add to their collection, and it functions as both a set-piece and as a toy to play with. There's a reason this thing normally retails at $160, so make sure you're quick if you want to avoid missing out on the chance to save yourself $15, because the deal won't last long. See at Amazon

By Aman Shukla Published on August 19, 2025, 18:30 IST Last updated August 19, 2025, 10:53 IST The Fallout TV show on Prime Video blew everyone away with its gritty, retro-futuristic take on the post-apocalyptic world. After a wild first season, excitement for Season 2 is through the roof. Here's the scoop on when it's coming, who's in the cast, and what's cooking for the plot, all served up fresh for fans hungry for more. Fallout Season 2 Release Window Word from Prime Video is that Fallout Season 2 will land in December 2025, just in time to spice up the holiday season with some irradiated chaos. Filming wrapped in May 2025, even with wildfires in Southern California causing a brief hiccup earlier this year. The show's big sets, wild creatures like Deathclaws, and heavy CGI meant a long post-production haul, but the team pulled it off. There's talk Amazon might ditch the all-at-once drop from Season 1 and go weekly to keep folks glued to their screens, like they do with The Boys . No exact date's out yet, but expect a big reveal around Fallout Day on October 23. Fallout Season 2 Expected Cast The main crew's back for more. Ella Purnell's returning as Lucy MacLean, the wide-eyed Vault-dweller facing tough lessons. Walton Goggins is back as The Ghoul, aka Cooper Howard, stealing scenes with his mix of grit and charm. Aaron Moten's suiting up again as Maximus, now a proper Brotherhood of Steel knight with new challenges. Kyle MacLachlan's back as Hank MacLean, Lucy's dad, whose shady moves last season set up some serious drama. Moisés Arias as Norm MacLean and Leslie Uggams as Betty Pearson are likely back too, with flashbacks probably featuring Sarita Choudhury as Lee Moldaver and Frances Turner as Barb Howard. Big news: Macaulay Culkin's joining the party as a 'crazy genius' type, sparking chatter about him playing a mad scientist or a quirky New Vegas character. Whispers about Aaron Paul jumping in are floating around, but nothing's solid yet. There's also buzz about Kumail Nanjiani possibly playing a Brotherhood bigwig, which would be a huge get. Rafi Silver might return as Robert House, the New Vegas boss from Fallout: New Vegas , though some think they'll recast for a meatier role. Fallout Season 2 Potential Plot Season 2 is expected to start after that jaw-dropping Season 1 ending, with Lucy and The Ghoul chasing Hank to New Vegas, the glitzy, faction-packed city from Fallout: New Vegas . Hank's power armor escape sets up a high-stakes hunt in the Mojave Wasteland. Expect casinos, shady deals, and clashes between groups like the New California Republic and Caesar's Legion, teased in leaked set pics. The Brotherhood of Steel, now armed with a game-changing cold fusion gadget, faces new headaches, and Maximus might start questioning his orders. Deathclaws are confirmed to stalk the screen, with showrunner Graham Wagner hyping them up after their skull popped up in Season 1's finale. The story will mix wasteland action with pre-apocalypse flashbacks, digging into The Ghoul's past and his hunt for his family. Lucy's journey gets darker as she wrestles with her ideals after last season's betrayals, with Ella Purnell teasing a tougher, more layered arc. Vault-Tec's dirty secrets will unravel further, and Robert House might emerge as a puppet-master villain. Ahmedabad Plane Crash Aman Shukla is a post-graduate in mass communication .
