Can Tejasswi Prakash go bald for a role? The Nagin actress reveals, 'People lately have...'
Actress Tejasswi Prakash, widely admired for her stunning long locks, says she wouldn't hesitate to shave her head if the role demands. She revealed that no one has approached her with such request, as filmmakers often go with creative approach rather than going with actual bald look. Tejasswi Prakash can go bald if the role demands
In a conversation with Hindustan Times, Tejasswi said that she wouldn't think twice if this demand comes to her. She said, 'I would go bald for a character if it requires. I'm very committed like that most of the time. I get the sense that individuals in recent times have somehow managed to circumvent it… Like I'm doing something that's about change. But there are millions of people in the business who have proceeded and discovered so many other means of doing anything and everything, from making your colour of hair be a particular way or making you bald or making you blonde. There are just so many other workarounds that no one has requested. If I'm ever requested, I would do it.' What is Tejasswi Prakash's haircare routine?
When it comes to following a haircare routine, Tejasswi credits her mother's traditional methods, especially the 'champi' or scalp massage. She explained, 'My hair routine is quite simple. Like my mother raised me, that is champi included. Of late, I have added a lot of steps to my hair routine. It is now about doing like a serious hair wash and applying a good hair mask for some 5-10 minutes and then applying good serum.'
Like any other, Tejasswi has bad hair days, but she has her strategies to transform it. 'Yes, I do have bad hair days, primarily because I have straight hair. My bad hair days are not because my hair is frizzy. It is when my hair is truly flat with no volume. My hair somehow gets oily within one or two days of shampooing. Those for me are my bad hair days. And during that time, I just had a sleek hairstyle like a ponytail,' she said. Tejasswi Prakash's future roles
Meanwhile, on the work front, Tejasswi is no stranger to challenge herself with shows like Naagin 6, Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi 10, Bigg Boss 15 and Celebrity MasterChef . For her next, she dropped a cue that she might need to lose a bit of weight for the role.

Vishnuvardhan memorial demolition: Rishab Shetty, Kichcha Sudeep REACTS - 'An insult to his personality'

(Picture Courtesy: Facebook) The overnight demolition of a structure at late Kannada superstar Vishnuvardhan's memorial in Bengaluru's Abhiman Studios has triggered a wave of grief and anger among fans and film industry members. The incident was carried out reportedly with court approval and under police protection. Actors Rishab Shetty , Kichcha Sudeep, and Dhruva Sarja , have expressed deep disappointment over the treatment of the legendary actor's resting place. Fans and stars react to sudden razing Rishab Shetty took to X, calling the demolition 'condemnable' and 'an insult to his personality and service to the arts.' Kichcha Sudeep described the act as heartbreaking, likening it to 'the destruction of a temple of a god we have revered for years. Kichcha Sudeep wrote, "I am speaking as a fan of Vishnuvardhan, not as 'Kiccha.' I am deeply hurt. Vishnuvardhan had a spiritual inclination. He always used to say — 'I want to become a metaphor. I should not end up inside some building or be tied to immovable properties. I must remain in the five elements. We belong to nature.' In one sense, it feels like another one of his wishes has come true. But ordinary fans and the public will not understand this. Just like you need a post box to post a letter, we too need a temple or a memorial to pay our respects and prayers." Dhruva Sarja echoed similar sentiments, stating that while Vishnuvardhan's legacy doesn't need a memorial to live on, the manner of demolition was deeply hurtful. Dispute over memorial site The land, once owned by actor Balakrishna, is now at the center of a dispute between the current owners and fans. The memorial included an 8-foot statue of Vishnuvardhan, which has long been a site of homage. As reported by the Hindustan Times, the owner acted after a court order, but the decision has drawn sharp criticism. Balakrishna's daughter, Geeta Bali, alleged political involvement and linked the demolition to her brother's unsolved murder last year. Director Ravi Srivathsa, who filmed the aftermath, called it a desecration of a sacred space for fans. Call for preservation and respect Sudeep revealed that several in the industry, including himself, had offered to fund the memorial's upkeep, but the government allegedly showed no interest. He vowed to approach the court if necessary to save at least a small portion of the site. Meanwhile, a new 2.75-acre memorial in Mysuru, in development since 2020, aims to showcase the actor's personal belongings, but for many, it does not replace the emotional significance of the original cremation site. Vishnuvardhan, known as 'Sahasa Simha,' passed away in December 2009.

'Sholay' Turns 50: Javed Akhtar says Sanjeev Kumar, Amitabh Bachchan, Dharmendra starrer was supposed to be a FLOP; reveals last time he watched the film

'Sholay' is a film loved by every generation. Many fans have watched it countless times, but interestingly, one of its co-writers, the legendary Javed Akhtar , says he hasn't seen the film in years, possibly decades, and he has a good reason for it. Sholay turns 50 On August 15, 'Sholay' will complete 50 years since its release. The film remains the biggest box office hit in Indian cinema history, based on footfalls and inflation-adjusted earnings. Javed, who co-wrote the script with Salim Khan during their Salim-Javed days, told Hindustan Times, "You should be happy with the work you have done if it is appreciated. But that umbilical cord needs to be cut. You cannot take the full credit for it. And you shouldn't, too. Now, you should think of what you need to do now, because you are always as relevant as your latest work. You can stay in your dreams, but it won't help. Those who are lost in their history have no hope for their future." He further revealed how many times he has seen 'Sholay'. Opening up to the portal, he admitted, "When it was released, I watched it 5-6 times because the initial reports were bad." He went on to add "The film was supposed to be a flop initially, so I watched to see how it had turned out." by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like The World's Most Stunning Blue Flag Beaches Ranked: Top 25 List! A star-studded classic 'Sholay' boasted a powerhouse cast, led by Sanjeev Kumar and featuring Amitabh Bachchan, Dharmendra, Amjad Khan , Jaya Bachchan, and Hema Malini. Released in 1975, it became the highest-grossing Indian film of all time, breaking 'Mughal-e-Azam's record. It held that title for over a decade until 'Disco Dancer' surpassed it, but 'Sholay' still holds the record for the most tickets ever sold for an Indian film. About film's re-release Over the years, it has become a pop culture phenomenon in India, with its characters becoming household names and its lines becoming memes and quotable quotes. The Ramesh Sippy film has been re-released several times, with the last re-release in 2005, to mark the film's 30th anniversary. A 4k restored version of Sholay will screen at the 50th edition of the Toronto International Film Festival in September this year. The film has been restored in 4K by Film Heritage Foundation in association with Sippy Films Pvt. Ltd. What? Mouni Roy is tired of people saying stars call paparazzi all the time: 'You can't be at your best always'

She has been a naagin on TV, a fierce villain on the big screen, and everything in between. Now, Mouni Roy is a spy. Her new web series, Salakaar, sees Mouni as an Indian spy fooling a Pakistani army officer. In a conversation with Hindustan Times, Mouni discusses her role, the exoticisation of female spies, and the pressure of being in the public eye all the time. Mouni Roy talks about her new show, Salakaar, and Bollywood's paparazzi culture. On Salakaar Salakaar gets one thing right. It depicts Mouni as a spy who thinks, without merely relegating her to a 'honey trap'. She agrees: 'Thankfully, it is written in a way that isn't demeaning, and it isn't about her sexuality or sensuality. It's about what she is set out to do, and she will fulfil her mission, come what may.' But Mouni does not look down upon female spies being presented as femme fatales. She explains, 'When you are a spy, I'd like to believe it's saam-daam-dand-bhed. There is no one term you use for her. She sets up a honey trap as they call it, and also uses her intelligence. Whatever she needs to do, she does. What matters is the assignment at hand.' On being in the public eye The conversation moves to the selection of roles, and the urge to be seen all the time, when her co-star Naveen Kasturia calls the latter 'pressurising'. Mouni promptly chimes in, 'Don't even ask what that's like.' She has been on TV, appearing on the screens day in and day out. And over the last few years, she has been a favourite of Bollywood's paparazzi. Mouni says it is a lot of pressure to be in the public eye 24x7. But what irks her is the public perception of that spotlight. 'They think we are calling the paps all the time, and that's not the case,' she says. Her complaint is not without merit. Stars have often been accused of calling paparazzi to cover themselves and then feigning ignorance. We ask her to set the record straight. Mouni says, 'They are there, especially because if we are here in Bandra, they know your cars and where you're going. Sometimes, the restaurants or places you go to want to promote themselves. I am not saying I never call paps. But I call them when I need to be or want to be spotted, and I am dressed well. If I am promoting a film or a show, it's a very different thing. But every day, no!' The actor adds, matter-of-factly, 'It's really taxing, because you can't look nice all the time, and can't be at your best every time.' Apart from Mouni Roy and Naveen, Salakaar also stars Surya Sharma and Mukesh Rishi in pivotal roles. The show is streaming on JioHotstar.
