Susanna Reid told viewers she is going on her "holidays" and would be back "for term time," suggesting her comeback chimes with the September school term.
Her Good Morning Britain co-host Richard Madeley, 69, then waved in her face to which she replied: "I am still here!"
The mum of three's final words to ITV viewers saw her announce: "I am off on my holidays but I will see you at the star of the new term."
It is unclear who will replace her alongside Richard, and her regular co-anchor Ed Balls, yet Kate Garraway, Ranvir Singh and Charlotte Hawkins often step in.
HAPPY HOLIDAYS
Previously, Susanna has opened up on her "wild" summer getaways with her sons.
Opening up on her sun-soaked break in 2024, Susanna said: "This summer I took my boys to Ibiza.
"I have been going for ten years and it was amazing to really enjoy it with my boys now they are old enough to go clubbing.
"We go to the day clubs together and then I go back to the hotel and they go to the nightclubs!"
Susanna shares Sam, 21, Finn, 20, and Jack, 19 with her ex-husband Dominic Cotton.
Richard Madeley was facing GMB axe before crunch talks as another HUGE star 'is set to leave ITV' amid cuts bloodbath
ITV SHAKE UP
Earlier this summer, commercial network ITV announced that it would make savage cuts to its daytime schedule from January 2026.
Yet it has come to light that GMB's longstanding entertainment reporter Richard Arnold will retain his role.
It comes as some 220 workers on the flagship breakfast show, Lorraine, Loose Women and This Morning face redundancies as the channel streamlines operations.
The changes are part of ITV's efforts to save money and reinvest in other programming areas.

As part of the restructure, Lorraine will be reduced to a 30-minute show whilst Good Morning Britain will be extended by 30 minutes.
Lorraine and Loose Women will air for only 30 weeks a year and GMB will be extended by another half an hour in the weeks where Lorraine is off.
As part of the changes, ITV announced that the production of the flagship breakfast show will be transferred to ITV News within the ITN base at London's Gray's Inn Road.
The Sun also exclusively reported how Susanna's regular co-presenter Richard Madeley was also facing the axe before his crunch talks with show bosses.

Kim Kardashian channels Bianca Censori in sheer tights outfit and no underwear

Kim Kardashian has channelled her ex-husband Kanye West's new wife, Bianca Censori, in a daring new look. Snapped from the inside of a private jet, Kim, 44, posted a carousel of images on Instagram that showed off her travels to Korea with her sister Khloe Kardashian and friend La La Anthony. The trio wore fur coats, sunglasses, and Kim's controversial Skims facial shapewear wraps around their heads, appearing to be naked underneath their lavish get-up. Confirming her barely there look, Kim then shared a mirror selfie showing off that she was wearing nothing more than tights, pulled up over her breasts. The star ditched her underwear for this look, but used an editing app to add a quick black line across each nipple, shielding her modesty. The following snaps captured the luxury nature of the trip, with Khloe brandishing a bottle of champagne, and Kim posting a snap of the bejewelled YSL logo on her tights and the branding of her designer bag. The post was strikingly similar to the looks shared by Bianca, 30, who has regularly been seen out in outfits that leave very little to the imagination. The Skims mogul and controversial rapper, 47, were married from 2014 to 2022 and share children North, 11, Saint, eight, Chicago, six, and Psalm, five. After the pair split, Kanye went on to marry Bianca, an Australian architect, in 2022. Bianca has become known for her frequent tiny looks, often opting to pose nude on social media and even wearing daring looks publicly, leading to calls for 'public indecency arrest'. Her most recent eyebrow-raising look was her totally sheer Grammys dress, which caused a major stir and resulted in Bianca being splashed across every major news outlet. Concerns have been raised for her welfare, with the internet convinced that her husband, also known as Ye, is dictating what his spouse wears. This isn't the first time that the similarities between Kim and Bianca's wardrobes have been raised. More Trending Bianca looked just like Kim in a blurry snap, shared on her Instagram story in May, posing in nothing but a beige strapless bra top and red underwear, paired with patterned heels and knee-high socks. Bianca has also grown out her long dark hair and styled it in the past few months, which bears an uncanny resemblance to Kim's trademark locks. View More » In December 2024, Kim was also flooded with comments from fans pointing out her similarities with Bianca as she shared a skimpy snap on top of a motorbike. Got a story? Breaking Bad icon spotted dining out at Edinburgh restaurant

An Edinburgh tapas and wine restaurant was delighted to welcome a surprise celebrity visitor. Hollywood actor Bob Odenkirk visited the Scottish capital on Monday earlier this week, August 18. In the heart of the old town, PIGGS wine bar, which is famed for its authentic Spanish tapas, was delighted to welcome the Breaking Bad icon. Odenkirk played the role of Saul Goodman in the acclaimed television series, and Better Call Saul. He was snapped alongside staff, as writes Edinburgh Live. The restaurant posted the encounter on their social media, as they took to Instagram captioning the snap: "Breaking bread with Saul... turns out the only thing criminal was how good the wine was." Locals soon swarmed the post, including fans of both the restaurant and the star, as they expressed their excitement at the chance encounter which was shared to their 35.6k social media followers. One person commented: "Amazing. I love that dude and I love your restaurant." Meanwhile another remarked: "How lovely for him to see Scotland." And a third noted: "Lovely. All I can say is, I'd love to be there right now." Elsewhere, Odenkirk doesn't expect his character in Better Call Saul to become free from behind bars anytime soon. The Breaking Bad spin-off concluded three years ago. The series ran for six season on AMC from 2015 to 2022. It doesn't seem optimistic for fans about a revival for more episodes. However, Odenkirk said 'of course I would' when asked if he would reprise his role as the scam artist and lawyer Saul Goodman. 'That part turned my life around, and I've given more to that part than anything I've done,' he said on Today. 'Vince Gilligan and Peter Gould created that show. They are some of the best writers who ever worked in TV. So if they were to think of something in that world, of course I would do it.'

Midsomer Murders' Neil Dudgeon opens up on being replaced after 'cancellation' remark

The much-loved ITV series, Midsomer Murders, is back on our screens tonight with a rerun of an episode from series 23 titled The Debt of Lies Neil Dudgeon will be reprising his role as Detective John Barnaby, alongside Nick Hendrix, who plays Detective Sergeant Jamie Winter in Midsomer Murders. ‌ The plot for tonight's episode reads: "When the latest resident of a police retirement community is found dead, the tight-knit group regards a murder on their doorstep as both an affront and a challenge." ‌ As fans eagerly anticipate new episodes of Midsomer Murders, Neil recently addressed rumours about his departure from the show and revealed when the series would return to television, according to the Express. ‌ Neil joined the cast in 2011, replacing John Nettles, who played the original chief detective, Tom Barnaby. In a chat with Radio Times, he admitted that he would continue playing the detective until the show's bosses decided it was time for him to leave. On the topic of his future on the show, Neil said, "No, I assume that at some point I'll get the hook. You know, the hook will all come and sort of drag me off into the wings, and they won't want me anymore. "But they haven't done it yet, so I'm going to keep going to work until I get the hook." In a separate interview with Radio Times, Neil shared his initial concerns about taking over from John Nettles as the lead detective. ‌ He confessed, "It was hard at the beginning because John had done it for 14 years. "If they'd cancelled me after one series, that would have been embarrassing! It gets easier, but I try to keep it fresh. Even if I've gone through the script 50 times, I'll look at it again and have another thought. It's still extremely pleasant and I'm extremely grateful." ‌ The actor who plays John Barnaby also revealed some thrilling news about series 25, which will feature four new tales. Although he's unsure of when the episodes will be broadcast, Neil confirmed that filming kicked off in March this year. 'I don't know when it's next being broadcast, but we start filming again at the end of March for season 25, so it goes on," he declared. "We've had a year off this year. We didn't film this year, but last year. But we are filming again this year. We're filming four new stories from March this year." Midsomer Murders is back tonight at 8pm on ITV.
