Dynamo sign Czech M Ondrej Lingr through '28
The 26-year-old Czech Republic native is signed through June 2028 with club options through 2029.
Lingr will occupy Designated Player and international roster slots with the Dynamo upon receipt of his international paperwork.
"Ondrej is a goal scoring midfielder with experience playing at the highest levels of European club and international football," Dynamo president of soccer Pat Onstad said. "He will make us a more dangerous attacking team with his verticality and penalty box presence, and he matches the defensive intensity that we look for in all Dynamo players."
Lingr has tallied 55 goals and 14 assists in 258 appearances with Czech clubs Karvina (2017-20) and Slavia Prague (2020-23, 2024-25) and the Dutch side Feyenoord (2023-24).
He won three trophies with Slavia Prague (Czech First League in 2021, Czech Cup in 2021 and 2023) and won the 2024 KNVB Cup and Dutch Super Cup with Feyenoord.

but record signing put in shade despite scoring
Thibault Klidje opened the scoring just before half time for Hibs. | SNS Group Klidje bags first goal since joining and Chaiwa dominates midfield Sign up to our Football newsletter Sign up Thank you for signing up! Supposedly vulnerable after their European exertions three days earlier, Hibs made a mockery of such suggestions by breezing past Livingston 2-0 at Almondvale to book a Premier Sports Cup quarter-final date with Rangers. This was a polished performance by the Easter Road outfit, who less than 72 hours beforehand had been locked in an almighty Conference League tussle with Partizan Belgrade that they eventually won after extra time. Advertisement Hide Ad Advertisement Hide Ad Hibs head coach David Gray was clever with his squad rotation, making six changes to his team. They all contributed, with record signing Thibault Klidje showing why he cost the thick end of £1 million by opening the scoring on his first start and being a nuisance to the Livingston backline all afternoon. Thibault Klidje opened the scoring just before half time for Hibs. | SNS Group He was ably supported by another new arrival in Miguel Chaiwa. The 21-year-old only joined from Young Boys less than a fortnight ago but the rangy Zambian was this observer's man of the match, dominating the midfield. He was strong, disciplined, took good care of the ball, broke up attacks and drove forward whenever possible. It was a near-perfect debut. Hibs spent in the region of £600,000 for Chaiwa and have enjoyed shopping in the Alps this summer. Klidje was purchased from another Swiss club in Luzern, while Gray also handed a first competitive start to Austrian goalkeeper Raphael Sallinger, pinched from Hartburg in his homeland. He was assured, although not overly worked by a poor Livingston side. Their manager David Martindale, who agreed a new contract in the build-up to this game, will surely lament his team's largely listless performance. They never truly put Hibs under pressure, and almost every ball into the visiting penalty box was met by the dominating head of Scotland defender Grant Hanley. Advertisement Hide Ad Advertisement Hide Ad Klidje is a reminder of Boyle With their Conference League play-off first leg against Legia Warsaw to come on Thursday, it was no surprise to see a host of regular Hibs starters left on the bench. Jordan Smith, Chris Cadden, Rocky Bushiri, Josh Mulligan and Kieron Bowie were used sparingly. Mulligan's late cameo was notable for Hibs' second goal, a cracking strike from distance that shot in via the post. It wasn't necessary, mind you. Only one goal was required. Some Hibs fans have questioned why Klidje, a Togo internationalist, has not been utilised more given the fee splashed out on him. He was a fascinating watch throughout. Small, stocky but speedy, he has some of the hallmarks of Martin Boyle, who partnered him in attack. Hibs clearly wanted to turn Livingston's less pacey defence and expose them. Their captain Ryan McGowan was booked early on for wiping Klidje out, before the striker himself was cautioned for an over-zealous shoulder charge. Hibs settled into the game nicely and thoroughly deserved their lead on 43 minutes. It was a simple goal, Boyle's inswinging corner met by Klidje's head and the ball skidded past Jerome Prior in the Livingston goal. Miguel Chaiwa made his Hibs debut. | SNS Group With Chaiwa and Alasana Manneh patrolling the Hibs midfield, Livingston could not find much joy. Both Junior Hoilett and Josh Campbell missed very presentable chances to put the game completely to bed earlier than Mulligan did with a sumptuous strike from outside the box on 87 minutes, his first in Hibs colours. Advertisement Hide Ad Advertisement Hide Ad A mention must go to young right wing-back Kanayo Megwa, who dominated his flank on a rare start. But for as good as he and his teammates were, Livi were toothless and could have played until sunset and probably not scored.

Newcastle complete £43m transfer after taking advantage of Aston Villa issues
Jacob Ramsey has swapped Aston Villa for Newcastle United and will wear the No.41 shirt on Tyneside after the Magpies took advantage of the Villans PSR issues to land the former England Under-21 star Newcastle United have sealed the signing of Aston Villa midfielder Jacob Ramsey in a £43million deal. Murphy, 24, leaves Villa Park to join the Magpies in a big-money deal that helps Villa meet Profit and Sustainability Rules. The current campaign is Villa's third successive in European competition, and UEFA rules mean they can only record losses of £60million - far less than the Premier League's guidelines of £105million. They have sold Ramsey to meet that figure, while also bringing down the percentage of revenue they spend on player wages; that number was 91 percent at the start of summer, and needs to get down to below 70 percent. When the two clubs met in their Premier League opener on Saturday, fans of both united in chanting against the Premier League and football's financial regulations, Newcastle having been forced to sell young stars Elliot Anderson and Yankuba Minteh 12 months ago. But now Eddie Howe's men have more leeway and have taken full advantage of Villa's situation, paying Villa a guaranteed £39million for Ramsey - who made 167 appearances in all competitions for the Villans, scoring 17 times - with a further £4m in potential add-ons. 'I'm delighted to be here,' said Ramsey. 'It's been a mad two or three days, but I'm really happy to be here and I can 't wait to get started. 'This is a big move for me, but as soon as I knew the gaffer was interested and really Iiked me, it didn't take much time to decide. His track record of developing players, especially those who have gone on to become internationals here, speaks for itself. 'It was always a tough game playing for Villa against Newcastle - the team is full of energy, so athletic and the fans are so passionate. I feel my game will suit that and I'm excited to be on the other end of it now.' Toon boss Eddie Howe declared: 'Jacob is another fantastic addition to our squad. His qualities will bring us something different on the pitch and he fits the profile of being young and hungry to develop, but also with a wealth of Premier League football under his belt. 'Jacob offers versatility and his directness in attack has proven to be a real threat at this level in recent seasons. "He performed very well in the Champions League last season too and we believe he'll be a major asset for us.' Ramsey's departure is not a move that Villa boss Unai Emery wanted to happen, but with club chiefs having let it be known that PSR measures had to be adhered to, it was decided cashing in on Ramsey was one of their best options, particularly as they continue looking to bring in more players before the close of the summer window. Forgotten Man Utd star offered surprising exit option after brutal Ruben Amorim call
Manchester United head coach Ruben Amorim has shown a number of senior stars what he thinks about their future and that could lead to yet another summer departure Jadon Sancho might not be the only player moving from Manchester United to Roma this summer, it has been claimed. The Italian club, who previously had ex-United manager Jose Mourinho at the helm, have also been linked with out-of-favour left-back Tyrell Malacia. Former Feyenoord defender Malacia has struggled for minutes since returning from a long spell out through injury. The Dutch international ended last season on loan at PSV Eindhoven, but the Eredivisie champions haven't made the move permanent. United head coach Ruben Amorim doesn't appear to see a future at Old Trafford for Malacia, leaving him out of United's pre-season tour while working to seal an exit. Sancho, Marcus Rashford, Alejandro Garnacho and Antony were also left at home, with Rashford already completing a loan move to Barcelona. Sancho had been linked with Juventus earlier in the summer, with their Serie A rivals also in the mix. And now, according to reports from the continent, Roma have enquired about Malacia during discussions over a potiential Sancho swoop. Roma aren't the only ones keeping tabs on Malacia, either. Besiktas have also been mentioned, with former United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer potentially linking up with Erik ten Hag's first United signing. Malacia was not part of United's matchday squad for their Premier League opener against Arsenal on Sunday. Patrick Dorgu was picked to start at left wing-back while Luke Shaw - another option in the position - took his place as the left-most of Amorim's three centre-backs. New signings Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo started, though there was no place for young left-back Diego Leon after his summer move. Benjamin Sesko, who joined a week ago but didn't feature in United's pre-season programme, started on the bench. This is despite Amorim indicating in the lead-up to the game that the Slovenian was in consideration to start. "Of course. We didn't have a lot of time but he's ready," the boss said. "First of all, physically, he's ready. That is a big component in our league. Then, he's really smart. Every detail he asks, he's a guy that is always thinking. He spends all afternoon here working on his fitness, so he's ready to play, we will see if he's going to start." United have secured a number of loan exits during the summer window but are still waiting to complete a first significant sale. Rasmus Hojlund could be the first to leave for a fee, having been left out of the squad for Sunday's opener. In the lead-up to the Arsenal clash, midfielder Toby Collyer completed a season-long loan move to West Bromwich Albion. The young midfielder made his Baggies debut from the bench on Saturday as they beat Wrexham 3-2.
