Mum's horror after being ‘punched in neck' by Alton Towers ‘queue jumper' who ‘grabbed son & smashed him against fence'

A MUM was left horrified after she was allegedly "punched in the neck" and her son was "smashed into a fence" by queue jumpers.
Emma Rosall, 44, claims she was assaulted as they waited for the Nemesis Reborn ride at Alton Towers on July 2.

The off-duty police officer had taken her son, 13, and 15-year-old daughter to the park for a fun day out at the Stoke-on-Trent theme park.
However the family was left shaken by their experience.
The altercation kicked off after staff made tannoy announcements warning queue jumpers they were being watched and wouldn't be allowed on rides.
Emma said she saw a man behind her with a bottle of water trying to get past, claiming it was for a medical emergency.
She didn't buy it, and refused to move aside, causing the man to become allegedly aggressive.
Emma was left stunned when he suddenly lashed out, striking her and then grabbing her son.
'Next thing I knew, he punched me in the back of the neck,' Emma said.
'Then he tried to barge me, grabbed my son and smashed him into the fence.'
Emma says no security arrived despite, what she says, were threats and intimidating behaviour.
She said another man from the same group appeared shortly after, and the two of them remained in the queue beside her family for a frightening 40 minutes after the ordeal.

Emma added: 'I could hear him on the phone to his mates, he described what I was wearing to them."
They were reportedly making threatening comments about what they'd do once the mum got off the ride.
Staff were informed, but the disbelieved mum says she was simply asked to wait for security to show up.
After deciding to leave the line, she filed a report with customer services and was given a reference number.
She says no one offered immediate help, and the experience left her son visibly distressed.
To add insult to injury, she said Alton Towers later offered her discounted tickets for another visit as a "gesture of goodwill."
The off-duty cop slammed the £25 discount offer, turning it down, and said she wouldn't feel safe returning anyway.
'We weren't met with a pleasant experience - just a long drive home in the heat,' she said. 'My son was petrified.'
She added that after the money and effort it took to get there, she felt completely let down.
Emma believes Alton Towers failed to respond quickly enough and didn't protect guests from aggressive visitors.
She says the incident has put her off going back entirely, especially knowing the man walked off without consequence.
Emma said she expected better crowd control and support from such a high-profile venue.
Staffordshire Police have confirmed they were notified about the July 2 incident and are now looking into it.
A police spokesperson said: 'At around 2pm on Wednesday 2 July, a woman and teenage boy were assaulted and then threatened by two men.
"They were all in a queue for the Nemesis ride.
"The woman was hit in the back, whilst the boy was pushed against a metal fence."

Betro allegedly flew in from Wisconsin in the United States as part of the plot, the court heard. She is accused of conspiring with Mohammed Nazir, 31, and his father Mohammed Aslam, 56, to murder Aslat and members of his family between August 21 and September 10 2019. Birmingham Crown Court was shown CCTV footage of an incident in South Yardley in September 2019. Sikander Ali, Aslat's son, was caught on camera arriving home in his black SUV. The video then shows a person wearing a face covering, who the prosecution said was Betro, pulling out a firearm and approaching Ali before the gun jammed at point-blank range. Ali then quickly reversed his SUV off the road, clipping the door of the Mercedes and damaging it so it would not close. After the botched assassination attempt, Betro allegedly returned to the property in a taxi and fired three times at the house, smashing several windows. Mr Walkling added: "On the seventh of September 2019 in a suburban cul de sac in South Yardley a would-be assassin tried to shoot a man called Sikander Ali at close range outside his house. She later dumped the Mercedes and police found a black glove with Betro's DNA inside, the court heard. Six minutes later she was again caught on CCTV shown to the jury from close to where the car was dumped wearing a summer dress, hoodie and flip flops and carrying two bags. The cold-hearted driver from Chesterfield then sped off without stopping and was so intoxicated he didn't even realise he had fatally hit a pedestrian. Byrne left members of the public to help Slinn but he was sadly pronounced dead at the scene. Footage shown in court showed Byrne inhaling nitrous oxide gas from a yellow balloon several times while driving, before and after the collision. Slinn was a retired builder who was a keen singer in a local church and a valued member of the community. He was weeks away from celebrating his Diamond Wedding anniversary with his wife when he was killed. During Byrne's hearing, the courtroom heard he was a disqualified driver, driving without a license and insurance and using a false cloned number plate on the car. South Yorkshire Police were able to identify Byrne as having connections to the car with a false registration plate and he was arrested before being released on bail. Senior Officer in the case Chief Inspector Tom Woodward said: "We spent hours trawling footage to piece together the car's movements, while others were working hard to find the car, which was later found burned out in the Derbyshire area." Shock moment driver ploughs into cyclist on quiet country road before speeding off claiming 'I thought it was a sheep!' A breakthrough came when officers tracked the car from the collision to an an address several miles away. CI Woodward added: "Our aim was to ensure he could never harm anyone in our communities again.' Byrne was re-arrested on April 12 in Derbyshire and brought back to South Yorkshire custody where he was questioned by detectives. Byrne answered "no comment" throughout even when Slinn's family tribute was read aloud to him. However, he knew the evidence was stacked against him and pleaded guilty at a hearing in May. The court also heard how Byrne had convictions for 27 previous offences, including dangerous driving, despite having no driving license. Byrne was sentenced to 16 and a half years in prison after admitting causing death by dangerous driving and other offences. CI Woodward said: 'Our thoughts remain with Graham's family and friends, and I hope today's sentencing brings them some further closure knowing Byrne will now face a lengthy time in prison. 'We know those involved in criminality are likely to take greater risks and Byrne's behaviour is a true reflection of this and why the work of our roads policing officers is greatly important." Sentencing Byrne, Judge Richardson KC said inhaling nitrous oxide was an "exceptionally dangerous act while driving", and told Byrne that Slinn had "died of grievous injuries inflicted by your truly appalling driving". Richardson told Byrne: "You are a dangerous offender. "The public must be protected from your deviant, dangerous, and ingrained criminal behaviour." In the Footsteps of Killers delves into the case of Janine Downes, a mother-of-three, who was murdered in Wolverhampton on February 2, 1991. Janine had been working in the red-light district of the city and was last seen climbing into a distinctive blue car before her naked and beaten body was discovered in a hedge on the A464 near Hatton, just outside of Shifnal. She was found wearing only a paisley patterned blouse, a bra and blue ankle socks and had been strangled and sexually assaulted. Despite a continuous and full police investigation, no one has ever been arrested or convicted of her murder. Emilia Fox, criminologist David Wilson and former senior detective Dr Graham Hill take up the cold case for Channel 4 and interview key witnesses, looking for clues in Wolverhampton's red-light district. Lines of inquiry centre around the possibility Janine was the victim of a potential serial killer and linked to a local criminal drug and sex ring. Their inquiries initially lead them to the man dubbed the Midlands Ripper, who was convicted of two other women's murders, but there is nothing that links him to Janine's brutal death due to a lack of CSI-style evidence. Instead, they suspect Janine's murder could be connected to local pimps after discovering they were involved with drug-dealing gangs in the city. Janine's murder remains under investigation by West Mercia Police. On the 30th anniversary of her death, Detective Inspector Lee Holehouse appealed for anyone with information about her death to come forward. 'We the police are still unclear as to what happened to Janine in the hours and days before her death. We are unclear as to whether it's likely that Janine was killed by a stranger or someone known to her. 'We do know that Janine was a sex worker working in the Wolverhampton area at around the time of her death and would appeal to anybody who was within this circle at the time or even now and may who have information to contact us. 'Moreover, I appeal to anybody with any information which may lead to the identity of Janine's killer to get in touch in order that we can get the justice that Janine and her family deserve. 'Somebody somewhere knows what happened. Janine's family have lived without closure for far too long. If you know what happened or have any information which may help, please help us.'
