Yet another Pixel 10 series report tips reasonable price points in yet another big market

Specifically, it appears that the "vanilla" Pixel 10 model will cost 79,999 rupees with 256GB internal storage space. That equates to a little over $910 right now, and more importantly, it's identical with the regional launch price of the 6.3-inch Pixel 9 in a 256 gig configuration back in August 2024. Unsurprisingly, the Pixel 10 Pro is expected to set you back Rs. 109,999 in a 256GB variant in the world's most populous nation, the Pixel 10 Pro XL will reportedly go for 124,999 rupees, and the Pixel 10 Pro Fold is all but guaranteed to start at Rs. 172,999. There's really no point in converting those numbers in US dollars, as the key thing to note is that the Pixel 9 Pro, 9 Pro XL, and 9 Pro Fold made their regional debut last year at these same price points. That obviously lends even more weight to the tags tipped for the US, which are almost etched in stone now at $799 for the Pixel 10 , $999 for the Pixel 10 Pro , $1,199 for the Pixel 10 Pro XL, and $1,799 for the Pixel 10 Pro Fold . We're talking about entry-level variants across the board, of course, but keep in mind that the Pixel 10 and 10 Pro are likely to start at 128GB storage space stateside, while the Pixel 10 Pro XL and 10 Pro Fold will not offer less than 256 gigs of local digital hoarding room. I'm obviously not going to tell you that, as your choice will depend on a lot of different factors, but for me, the "standard" Pixel 10 sounds like a very compelling value proposition with the same state-of-the-art Google Tensor G5 processor under the hood as all its bigger and costlier brothers, a decidedly familiar (but also undeniably stylish) design, and an extra imaging sensor compared to the Pixel 9 .
That 10.8MP telephoto snapper will naturally enhance the versatility and power of the Pixel 10 's rear-facing camera system, even though the ultra-wide-angle lens is widely expected to go down from a 48 to a 12 megapixel count.
Have you ever seen anything prettier than this Limoncello-colored Pixel 10? | Image Credit -- Evan Blass on X The Pixel 10 Pro and Pixel 10 Pro XL will curiously not come with any truly significant changes over their respective forerunners, gaining a little additional battery juice, a lot of extra processing power, and the same first-party "Pixelsnap" magnetic wireless charging accessories as the non-Pro Pixel 10 , thus essentially aiming to further refine the already great Pixel 9 Pro and Pixel 9 Pro XL rather than trying to reinvent the wheel. As for the Pixel 10 Pro Fold , my otherwise tremendous excitement for Google's sophomore Galaxy Z Fold-rivaling effort has taken a big hit with those rumors of a delayed release in October. That's not corroborated in any way today, mind you, as the generally reliable folks over at Smartprix claim that the Pixel 10 series will go up for pre-order as early as August 21. That's the day after the search giant's big product launch event, but with no words on an actual shipment start, you probably shouldn't get too excited about hearing it... again.

Gemini update adds private Temporary Chats and smarter personalization
Google is updating the Gemini app with new features designed to make it more personal and flexible, while also giving users more ways to control their data. The update brings a new personalization setting, a Temporary Chat option, and changes to privacy controls. The new "Personal context" setting allows Gemini to remember key details from your past conversations and use them to offer more relevant suggestions. Over time, this can make exchanges feel more natural and tailored. Personal context from past chats. | Image credit — Google For example, if you have talked about your favorite comic book characters, Gemini might suggest birthday party ideas based on them. If you have asked for book recommendations before, it could point you toward similar titles. And if you have discussed making videos about Japanese culture, it might suggest related topics the next time you ask for ideas. This setting is turned on by default for users on the 2.5 Pro model in select countries, with plans to expand to more models and regions soon. However, you can turn it off at any time in the app's settings under "Personal context." The update also adds "Temporary Chat," which lets you start one-off conversations that do not affect your future results and are not saved in Gemini Apps Activity. These chats are kept for up to 72 hours so Gemini can reply and process any feedback, but they are not used to train Google's AI models. Google is renaming the "Gemini Apps Activity" setting to "Keep Activity." When this is on, a sample of your future uploads, such as files or photos, may be used to improve Google services. If you prefer, you can turn it off or use Temporary Chat. Keep Activity with audio and live recordings. | Image credit — Google Another control added earlier this month lets you choose whether audio, video, and screens shared with Gemini are used to improve services. This is off by default but can be switched on. These updates bring Gemini in line with competing AI assistants like ChatGPT and Microsoft Copilot, which also offer personalization and history-free chat modes. Google's version makes these tools easy to toggle on and off, which could appeal to mobile users who want quick control. Gemini's new features could make it feel more like a personal assistant that learns your preferences, while Temporary Chat gives privacy-minded users a way to keep certain conversations off the record. The real test will be whether people are comfortable enough to keep personalization on, or if they will prefer to stick with a more private, one-off approach. Get 50% off – try it for 3 months today! Sky Blue iPhone 17 Air spotted in video of dummy unit
Images from video of iPhone 17 Air dummy unit in Sky Blue. | Image credit — Majin Bu A new leak is giving us a closer look at the rumored iPhone 17 Air, this time in an eye-catching Sky Blue finish. The source is leaker Majin Bu, who posted a short video on X today. The clip shows a dummy unit of the upcoming phone from multiple angles, offering a good sense of how the color might look in real life. The dummy's light, almost pastel-like blue contrasts with the iPhone 16 Pro's Desert Titanium, which is shown in a side-by-side shot. This comparison also highlights the iPhone 17 Air 's rumored thin profile. Based on previous leaks, the Air is expected to be noticeably slimmer than the standard iPhone models, potentially making it one of the thinnest modern iPhones Apple has released. Reports indicate the iPhone 17 Air will join Apple's 2025 lineup, likely announced in September. It is expected to feature a lightweight build with a reduced chassis thickness, a brighter display, improved battery efficiency, and a refreshed camera system with better low-light performance. Some rumors point to new materials that could help lower weight without sacrificing strength. The Air branding is new to the iPhone range but familiar from products like the MacBook Air and iPad Air, which are known for thin and light designs. If the leaks are accurate, the iPhone 17 Air could follow the same approach. If the iPhone 17 Air arrives as a thinner and lighter flagship, it will go up against rivals like Samsung's Galaxy S25, which also focus on sleek designs. Thin phones often face trade-offs in battery size or cooling, so Apple's balance between design and performance will be closely watched. The Sky Blue color is a refreshing addition to Apple's lineup, and a thinner design could appeal to those who value comfort in hand. That said, some buyers might prefer a slightly thicker phone if it means longer battery life and improved heat management. As with most leaks, the safest approach is to wait for Apple's official announcement—but if this early look is accurate, the iPhone 17 Air could be one of the most visually striking iPhones in years.
