Fans have seen Lauren caught up in her epic disappearance plot and her connection with the wicked Joel Deering whilst Betsey was left heartbroken when her lover Mason Radcliffe was stabbed to death.
But now, the stars have teased that there will be plenty more action to come from the pair and the rest of the younger cast as part of a specially-curated new plot.
The duo spoke to The Sun at the British Soap Awards where they revealed the "different" twist that would be rocking the soap.
Cait told us: "There is gonna be something quite different in the near-near future where we see all the younger cast come together.

"Working with people our own age has been so much fun.
"It was two weeks of us non-stop altogether."
She then joked: "I felt sorry for the crew and directors by the end of it but it was so much fun."

"I don't think it will be soon but I think it will be a slow burner."

The news of the impending episodes comes after Corrie failed to collect any of the panel or viewer nominated gongs at this year's ceremony.
Instead, only David Neilson received a prize for the Outstanding Achievement for his decades-long performance as Roy Cropper.
EastEnders cleaned up at the event with a total of eight prizes to become the clear front-runners of the night.

The West Coast rapper has previously spoken of investing in the Glasgow football club, similar to Hollywood star Ryan Reynolds's involvement with Wrexham FC. Advertisement Hide Ad Advertisement Hide Ad Snoop Dogg has already published a cookbook and claims to have spoken to chef Gordon Ramsay about a possible venture in Glasgow together – but he has now revealed he wants to set up a fast-food van at Celtic's stadium in the city's east end. He has described Celtic supporters as 'special' and the best fans in European football, and said he identifies strongly with the club's mascot Hoopy the Hound – describing it in a previous interview as a 'match made in heaven'. The keen sports fan worked as a correspondent for NBC at the Paris Olympics last year, has launched two youth football leagues, and has been a vocal advocate for pay equality for female athletes. He told the Sunday Mail that Celtic fans would support the burger van and that it would become a foodie 'Paradise' – the nickname give to Celtic Park. But he said he would not be taking his culinary ventures to Celtic's Old Firm rivals at Ibrox.

Noughties playboy who dated Katie Price and married Jodie Marsh unrecognisable now

Our community members are treated to special offers, promotions and adverts from us and our partners. You can check out at any time. More info Matt Peacock, the noughties playboy known for dating Katie Price and marrying Jodie Marsh, is barely recognisable these days. The former heartthrob, who was a fixture in the tabloids two decades ago, has traded his glamorous lifestyle for a quieter family life. Now 42, Matt has undergone quite the transformation, swapping his signature bleach blonde locks for a more natural brunette look. He's still modelling, but his life off-camera is centred around his wife Rachael, whom he married in 2016, and their daughter Lily, born in 2018. A glance at Matt's Instagram reveals a mix of fitness shots, shirtless poses, and sweet family photos featuring his daughter and their two dogs. Despite stepping away from the limelight, Matt and Rachael maintain connections with their celebrity friends. He even posted pictures from Ryan's 40th birthday celebrations last June. Matt's modelling career kicked off when he signed with Boss Model Management, landing several high-profile campaigns, reports the Mirror. He's currently represented by Model Team. Matt and Katie Price began dating shortly after she welcomed her first son Harvey with ex Dwight Yorke in 2002. (Image: Phil Harris) (Image: @mattpeacock27/Instagram) The then 24 year old star was spotted by 18 year old Matt at a car show where she was striking poses as a model. The two soon entered into a whirlwind romance and even did a joint interview for a high-profile magazine. However, their relationship was fleeting, lasting merely two months before coming to an end following a significant dispute. According to friends, Matt found it tough to cope with the limelight during their time together. Matt's subsequent entanglement was his marriage to Katie's rival Jodie Marsh, tying the knot on the reality TV spectacle Totally Jodie Marsh: Who'll Take Jodie Marsh Up The Aisle? in 2007. Their wedding took place amidst the buzz of Brentwood's Sugar Hut nightclub, but the union was short-lived, with Matt confessing later that Jodie seemed more interested in his past liaison with Katie rather than him. Matt later found himself with glamour model Rhian Sugden, their romance spanning a year before they called it quits. Rhian later made headlines again due to a text message scandal involving TV star Vernon Kay in 2010. Come 2020, Matt shared his personal fears about potentially losing his career because of hair loss. Speaking to The Manchester Evening News, he confessed: "Losing my hair had been knocking my confidence for a few years and it was really affecting my day-to-day life. "I felt so much pressure to look good and keep the modelling jobs coming in to pay my bills and keep a roof over my family's head. Social media can be a big problem too, with such an expectation of perfection. We live in such an image-obsessed world. I went for a hair transplant and it has truly changed my life."

Love Island contestant who replaced axed star admits already breaking show rules

The latest series of Love Island is due to grace our screens on Monday night where a whole host of new contestants will try and find love A Love Island contestant who replaced axed Kyle Ashman has broken show rules after signing up. Conor Phillips is due to enter the villa on Monday night when the new series begins. The 25-year-old rugby player has been preparing for his island stint and even recruited a former islander for help. He has replaced Kyle Ashman who was originally meant to be going on the show but was sent home just days before the series launch after it came out that he'd been quizzed by police over an attack in February. ‌ Conor has now said that he spoke to former winner Greg O'Shea before flying out to Majorca to get some advice. However, islanders are not meant to reveal that they are going on the show beforehand. ‌ READ MORE: Zara McDermott shares 'unreal' £30 hair waver that's been creating her go-to summer hair Fellow Irish rugby player Greg won series five alongside Amber Gill. Conor said: "I know Greg through rugby circles so I spoke to him about going on Love Island. "He just said 'be yourself, it's a really really really cool experience that not many people get. So enjoy it and yeah take it day by day and if you can be yourself you can't really go too far wrong'. So that's my plan. He was like 'my advice might be a bit different from others because I won'." He added: "I'm 25 and I've only had one relationship and it wasn't very long. So I feel like I'm maybe doing something wrong or maybe I'm not in the right places. So, hopefully that this is the right place and it should be you know because you're in a lovely villa surrounded by beautiful people, so I'm hoping that this is the one." Kyle has since spoken out about why he was removed from the show. He said: "I fully co-operated with this police investigation and made it very clear that I had no involvement in this incident. I am not a violent person and any suggestion otherwise is a mischaracterisation." ‌ It was reported that two masked people stormed a wake in Stafford and hacked at a dad with a blade. Kyle was one of two quizzed but was then released with no further action. It has been said that ITV were unaware of the incident which took place and was not flagged up when contestant checks were carried out. The 38-year-old victim nearly lost his arm and was rushed to hospital for emergency treatment and kept in for around two weeks. Another person who was at the wake was glassed while another was struck with a metal pole. Two more people were run over by a car during the 15 minute attack. Love Island returns Monday, June 9 at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX.
