EastEnders star Gurlaine Kaur Garcha announces engagement after Ibiza proposal as she shows off her dazzling diamond ring
The soap star, 31, who played Ash Panesar in the long-running BBC show, shared the news with her fans on Instagram on Wednesday.
Gurlaine showed off her huge dazzling diamond ring in the snap, were she was sat happily sipping a cocktail during the trip.
Alongside the photo, she wrote: 'v happy & v engaged!!!!!!'
Gurlaine keeps her partner's identity private and their relationship has blossomed out of the spotlight, but she did confirm the location of the propsal.
Her co-stars all sent their well-wishes, with her on-screen mother Balvinder Sopal, who plays Suki Panesar, writing: 'Oh my days!!!!!!!!! CONGRATULATIONS BABY.'
Gurlaine arrived in Albert Square in 2019 as the first member of the Panesar family to move to Walford, before her mother Suki and brothers joined later.
Her character was a no-nonsense doctor and she soon became involved in several hard-hitting storylines.
Ash endured family rifts as well as chaotic scenes a the hospital. She was also in a same-sex relationship with Igra.

Game of Thrones actor leaves Strictly lineup for health reasons
Actor and DJ Kristian Nairn has withdrawn from the 2025 lineup of the BBC's Strictly Come Dancing due to "unexpected medical reasons". He was unveiled as the latest celebrity contestant last Friday. He is best known for playing the character of Hodor in four seasons of the HBO fantasy series Game of Thrones and also starred as Wee John Feeney in the comedy Our Flag Means Death. In a statement he said he had made the decision to withdraw with "a heavy heart", adding: 'I was truly looking forward to the journey, and I'm deeply sorry to disappoint anyone who was looking forward to seeing me on the dance floor." Speaking to his followers on Instagram he explained "Like so many people at the minute, I've been dealing with a high level of stress and a little bit of grief, if I'm going to be really real. "I've always been my mother's son and I've always powered through things like this in the past. I think I've got a pretty healthy attitude towards stuff like this. Well, I thought I did, at least. "But for the first time it's manifested physically and has caused a spike in my vitals as sort of an area of concern. "Please know I'm OK. I'm under treatment already, and my doctor isn't concerned. After two, maybe three weeks, I'll be pretty much back to normal, but sadly, it's not going to be in time for all the training and everything like that." He added that he was "gutted" not to be taking part in the series, calling it a "wonderful opportunity". Sarah James, who is chief executive producer at BBC Studios, said they were "incredibly sorry to lose him from this year's series and we all wish him a speedy recovery'. His replacement on the series will be announced on BBC's The One Show on Thursday at 7pm.

Never-heard-before Beatles tracks to feature on new documentary
The remastered Beatles documentary series The Anthology, featuring 13 previously unreleased demos and studio sessions, is set to stream exclusively on Disney+ from 26 November. A new ninth episode has been created by director Peter Jackson 's Wingnut Films and Park Road Post, utilising previously unseen behind-the-scenes footage. Giles Martin has created new audio mixes for the featured music, compiled for the Anthology 4 album, and has also remastered the three original Anthology albums. This release is the latest in a series of major Beatles-related projects, following Jackson's acclaimed The Beatles: Get Back and preceding Sam Mendes's upcoming quartet of films about the band, due in 2028. The Anthology music collections will be released on 21 November, with a 25th-anniversary edition of The Anthology book available from 14 October.

Jarrod admitted that he 'got bored' waiting around in the morning before the ceremony but it soon hit him when people started arriving. He joked: 'When I saw everyone I was like "oh God, someone has turned the pollen up in here." Jarrod also recounted his wife's dad, Danny Dyer 's speech, and revealed how the EastEnders actor struggled to keep it together. 'He had this script and his hand was shaking, then is lip was going. Then he started talking about me and how close we are and that's what got him,' he laughed. 'I think he was declaring is love for me rather than his little Danny on the day. 'I said it in my speech I think if Danny senior could have been up there and taken my hand in marriage he would have.' Dani was announced as one of the celebrities taking part in this year's Strictly Come Dancing just a few weeks ago and is already the favourite to win. Giving an insight into his wife's dancing skills, Jarrod added: 'Deep down she is competitive, I know she has that inner drive. 'I have no idea what her dancing is like I've only seen her after a few tequilas. I'm not doing any practising with her. 'I do think she will be good though when she puts her mind to something, she's good.' After the contestants were announced last week, Dani became the early favourite to lift the Glitter Ball trophy with bookies having her at 4/1. Meanwhile, professional football manager and former player Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink comes in last at 25/1 meaning viewers could see him be the first to head home. According to Ladbrokes' figures, YouTuber George Clarke comes in second to Dani at 6/1. The Apprentice's Thomas Skinner and Vicky Pattison became the latest stars to join the ensemble when they confirmed their participation in the BBC show on Thursday.
