Disney World plans to open a massive new theme park, its first since 1998 — here's what it'll entail
Mouse ears, meet expansion plans.
Walt Disney World may be conjuring up a whole new kingdom — its first all-new park since Animal Kingdom opened way back in 1998.
According to a new long-term blueprint from the Central Florida Tourism Oversight District — dubbed Comprehensive Plan 2045 — the Mouse House has supposedly carved out space for a 'major theme park' and two smaller ones, likely water parks, to roll out over the coming decades.

The report earmarks 400 to 500 acres for the possible mega-park, which could stand shoulder to shoulder with Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, Hollywood Studios and Animal Kingdom in terms of size and spectacle.
Meanwhile, the mini-parks could each splash onto the scene across 147 acres — perfect for water slides, lazy rivers and screaming toddlers in swim diapers.

Also flagged in the plan? Supposed land reserved for more hotels, commercial spaces, entertainment zones, and Disney's famously secret underground tunnels — used by cast members to zip around like pixie-dusted pros.
Disney hasn't confirmed the project just yet, but fans are already dreaming up which characters might headline the House of Mouse's next big adventure.

Disney World's getting another rare upgrade — and we're not talking rides.

A luxe new steakhouse, Bourbon Steak by celeb chef Michael Mina, is carving out space at the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin resort.
3 Also on the map? New hotels, glitzy shops, entertainment hubs — and those hush-hush underground tunnels where cast members scoot around like pixie-dusted pros.

The bougie beef palace promises prime cuts and fresh-from-the-sea fare, all served with a bold, globetrotting twist. Translation? Mickey's going full filet mignon.
After a bumpy ride of closures and cancellations that left parkgoers fuming earlier this year, Disney just dropped more news that's revving up excitement.

In other Disney news, The Post previously reported that Epcot's fan-favorite Test Track is making its grand return on July 22, after hitting the brakes last summer for a major tune-up.
Dubbed Test Track 3.0, the high-octane overhaul will come with a brand-new score, a souped-up storyline, and futuristic bells and whistles to thrill even the most jaded Mouseketeer.
3 After a rocky run of shutdowns that had fans fuming earlier this year, Disney just fired up fresh news that's got everyone buzzing again.

Call it a pit stop well worth the wait.
However, (to the disappointment of the resort's fans), a few Disney staples like Rivers of America, Tom Sawyer Island, and the Liberty Square Riverboat are cruising into the sunset this year — all to make room for a revved-up new land: Piston Peak National Park, a high-octane homage to Pixar's 'Cars' franchise.
Longtime fans are also still mourning the loss of Mickey's Toontown — the zany, mouse-sized village bulldozed in 2011 for Fantasyland's glow-up.
But ultimately, Disney's not just sprinkling pixie dust in 2025 — they're going full throttle on the magic with a new park, steakhouse and a returning beloved ride.

Sabrina Carpenter hits back with cheeky alternative to provocative album cover
Sabrina Carpenter is barking back at the backlash surrounding her suggestive album cover. The outspoken pop star is set to release her new album "Man's Best Friend" on Aug. 29, but the 26-year-old "Espresso" hitmaker took to social media Wednesday, June 25, to sarcastically slam critics of her provocative album cover. In her caption, Carpenter wrote that she "signed some copies of Man's Best Friend for you guys & here is a new alternate cover approved by God available now on my website" alongside a white heart emoji. The breakout singer's June 11 album announcement garnered criticism with its imagery showing Carpenter, dressed in a black dress and high heels, kneeling on the ground in a dog-like pose while an unidentified man stands off to the side and pulls her by the hair. Sabrina Carpenter sparks controversy with provocative 'Man's Best Friend' album cover In the new photos, Carpenter faces the camera and looks away in two separate shots – one close-up and another full-body photograph – as she stands and holds onto a man, with her hands on his arm and back. "Man's Best Friend," Carpenter's seventh studio effort, follows the release of her breakthrough 2024 album "Short n' Sweet," which catapulted her to superstardom after the former Disney star worked for years in the music industry. The album, which peaked at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart, spawned the hit singles "Espresso," "Please Please Please," "Taste" and "Bed Chem," as well as solidified the singer's playful pin-up girl image. Wanted sex offender arrested after staged 'mock wedding' with child at Disneyland Paris
Authorities in France arrested a convicted sex offender who reportedly attempted to stage a "mock wedding" with a 9-year-old Ukrainian girl at Disneyland Paris in which he played the groom. Meaux prosecutor Jean-Baptiste Bladie said a 39-year-old British man allegedly organized a stunt marriage ceremony on Saturday, June 21, paying Disneyland Paris to hold the event, according to BBC. Around 100 people were hired to be extras in the staged ceremony that cost around €130,000 (over $151,000) so it could be filmed in a private capacity. The young girl arrived in France two days earlier was not harmed in any way and was not forced to play the bride, BBC reported. Staff said she was dressed as a bride, wearing white and having her hair done. A park guest who was hired to play the bride's father alerted staff, who called the police. The suspect reportedly used a stolen Latvian ID and fabricated documents to book the event through Disney, the New York Times reported. He is reportedly being charged with fraud, money laundering and identity theft. Bladier accused the man of wearing professional makeup so he would not appear as himself, BBC reported. 3 others arrested, including child's mother Authorities also arrested three others, including the 41-year-old mother of the child, as well as a 55-year-old Latvian man and a 24-year-old Latvian woman who would have played the bride's sister, BBC reported. Bladier told BBC in a statement that the British man was convicted for previous offenses of a sexual nature against minors and was wanted nationally. It's unclear at what point in the staged ceremony staff interfered, but an investigation is underway, BBC reported. USA TODAY has reached out to Disneyland Paris and Chessy National Police for comment.

Sabrina Carpenter Vows to Make ‘Clean Versions' of Her Songs at 2025 Kids' Choice Awards
After dominating the 2025 Kids' Choice Awards, Sabrina Carpenter made a promise to fans that she'll continue releasing 'clean versions' of her songs so younger listeners can enjoy her work, too. This commitment comes amid growing controversy surrounding the sexual nature of her upcoming album Man's Best Friend, sparking debate across the internet. Sabrina Carpenter, fresh off her sweep at the 2025 Kids' Choice Awards, has made a promise to her younger fans that she'll continue releasing clean versions of her songs. The pop star accepted three major awards virtually, which were Favorite Song ('Taste'), Favorite Female Breakout Artist, and Favorite Album (Short n' Sweet'). She used her speech to reassure parents and kids that they'll always have age-appropriate access to her music. 'I've always wanted one of these ever since I was a little girl,' Carpenter said while holding the orange blimp trophy. 'This is so special to me, and I just can't thank each and every one of you enough for voting. I will continue to make these clean versions of these songs for you,' she added. (via Billboard) The former Girl Meets World star's statement comes at a time when some fans feel her musical content has become increasingly mature and sexually charged. While Carpenter has embraced an edgier image and lyrical style, she doesn't seem to have forgotten her Disney roots or her younger fanbase, who've grown up with her music but still include many children today. Moreover, Sabrina Carpenter's promise arrived amid ongoing controversy surrounding her upcoming album, Man's Best Friend, set to release on August 29, 2025. The provocative cover art features her on her knees in front of a suited man who's pulling her hair. Critics argued it was 'misogynistic' and pandering to the male gaze, while others saw it as a satirical statement about power dynamics and femininity. All in all, fans are excited for more new music, but many voiced concerns over the hypersexual themes and imagery that accompanied this new era. Despite this, Carpenter's loyal audience continues to support her artistic choices, especially with the reassurance that clean edits will be available.
