Mob boss Mark Richardson 'only letting right-hand man visit him in prison'

The gangland kingpin's empire has been under siege since March with machete murder bids, firebombings on businesses and properties linked to him.
Feared Edinburgh crime boss Mark Richardson is only letting his right hand man visit him in prison.
The gangland kingpin's empire has been under siege since March with machete murder bids, firebombings on businesses and properties linked to him, and masked gunmen targeting his closest associates, reports Edinburgh Live.
The brutal wave of attacks is believed to be orchestrated by Dubai based Ross McGill, a former Rangers ultra who fled to the Middle East years ago and is said to have the backing of several underworld figures.
McGill, sources claim, vowed to unleash violence on Richardson and anyone connected to him after the 38-year-old's crew allegedly paid for a drugs stash with fake notes.

Friends and even Richardson's former partner have been caught up in the blood feud in recent months.
In July, we told how McGill was "lying low" after a police crackdown on gang violence saw 55 arrests made under Operation Portaledge.
One source said McGill had been running out of foot soldiers in the capital after the spate of arrests linked to physical attacks and petrol-bombings on homes and cars.
Now a second source has confirmed Richardson is only allowing close ally David Togher to visit him at HMP Low Moss.
Back in March, it was claimed Togher was chased through the street by machete-wielding thugs but managed to escape.
In 2017, the ex-soldier was caged for six years for a broad daylight blade attack on notorious gangster Sean "Lugs" McGovern, just hours before McGovern was due to return to prison from home leave.
Togher is now understood to be one of Richardson's most trusted lieutenants and the only person allowed into visits. He has also been spotted taking DVDs in for the mob boss.
A source told Edinburgh Live: "It has all gone quiet recently but Togher is the only one Richardson is allowed to visit him in prison. He was taking him in DVDs and other items.
"Richardson is keeping his cards close to his chest. He is remaining tight-lipped regarding any mention of reprisal attacks for what has happened in recent months.
"One thing that is certain is Richardson thinks he has had the p**s taken out of him by McGill and there will be repercussions but he is keeping his nose clean in prison."

Second parent shares 'strangling' fears at Scots primary school

The mum, who spoke anonymously to protect her daughter's identity, revealed a series of troubling incidents. A second parent has come forward to claim her daughter fell victim of an 'attempted strangling' at a Scots primary school. ‌ The mum, who spoke anonymously to protect her daughter's identity revealed a serious of troubling incidents which saw her daughter, allegedly strangled, choked, threatened with a knife an a abused by a fellow pupil. ‌ She said her child had to be regularly taken out of her P4 class due to the violence she faced. And she feared for her daughter who has 'anxiety' about returning to school to start P5, Edinburgh Live reports. ‌ 'I feel physically sick at her lack of safety,' the mum said. 'She is terrified, she walks to school and comes home in tears. 'Each day I'm waiting by the phone to hear she has been hurt again. I feel like her education is being failed and they are not interested in taking on my complaint. 'The child who is doing this to her needs proper support. He should not be in a mainstream setting. 'I keep getting told this child is entitled to a state education. So is my child and she currently isn't getting that. They are failing my child.' The latest incident of strangling apparently took place shortly after her daughter had suffered from a broken collar bone which left her in serious pain. Another incident of choking is said to have taken place at the school. 'My daughter has been strangled and choked on two occasions now,' the mum added. 'She was also attacked with Lego. ‌ 'The boy threatened her by saying he was going to the canteen to get a knife for her. The way the school handles it also makes her a target for this boy. 'Their classroom is being evacuated all the time due to the boy throwing tables and chairs. He even attacked the teacher and smashed up thousands of pounds worth of equipment. ‌ 'He also swears and uses vile language towards my daughter and others. I'm at the stage where I'm considering going to the police as the council and school are doing nothing. 'Her anxiety is through the roof about going back to school. We are speaking to a GP this week for help and advice in regards to what we can do. 'I am an NHS worker and have had to take a long period of time off work to support my child with her needs with the ongoing issues.' ‌ Our sister title Edinburgh Live previously reported on violence at the same school. They told how a boy had targeted another girl over the course of the 2024/25 academic year. Join the Daily Record WhatsApp community! The mother, who we chose not to name to protect her daughter's identity, has said her nine-year-old has been observed to have PTSD symptoms and suffer from anxiety as well as incontinence as a result of the multiple alleged attacks. ‌ On three occasions the attempt to strangle her daughter took place in school with another two taking place at the after school club which the parent has since removed her daughter from. An image shared at the time of reporting showed red marks on the young girl's neck. She also raised concerns about the young boy being found to have snapped cutlery items which were sharpened to points in his school tray at the end of the school year. 'There have been three instances of her being strangled at school and two at the after school club by the same boy,' she claimed. 'After the first incident we were told preventative steps were put in place but it keeps happening. 'On the second occasion I got a call from the deputy head telling me another boy had pinned her down while the same boy strangled her. I was then assured they would be separated and I was confident something would be done as staff seemed understanding. That was until it happened again.' A Midlothian council spokesman said: 'As we would always advise, families should work with the school. We do not comment on individual cases.'

Edinburgh man confronted at home by group after 'messaging schoolgirls' online

Our community members are treated to special offers, promotions and adverts from us and our partners. You can check out at any time. More info An Edinburgh pervert with a fetish for tights was caught in a paedophile hunter sting after he contacted social media profiles of who he believed to be two children. Alan Langmuir sent scores of sexual messages to '12-year-old Megan' and '14-year-old Mollie' on the Facebook Messenger app over a three month period last year. Langmuir, 64, asked the victims to send pictures of themselves wearing tights, encouraged them to carry out solo sex acts and posted one child an image of an erect penis. The sicko also quizzed the girls on their school uniforms, sent links to porn sites and repeatedly told them they were 'pretty' and 'beautiful'. But Langmuir was eventually caught out after he asked 'Mollie' if she would send him a pair of her tights to his home and he posted his address on the app. It then emerged he was in fact in contact with adult decoys who had set up the social media profiles in a bid to snare online predators and members of the paedo hunter group confronted him at his home. The sting was live streamed to the Scotland Child Protection Team Against Sexual Abuse Facebook page and has been viewed more than 32,000 times. Langmuir, of Leith, Edinburgh, was arrested and charged and later told officers he thought he was involved in 'role play' with an adult and didn't believe he was in contact with a child. He appeared at the capital's sheriff court on Thursday and pleaded guilty to attempting to communicate indecently with 'Megan' by commenting on her physical appearance, asking what she was wearing and making reference to his sexual fetish between August and October last year. Join Edinburgh Live's Whatsapp Community here and get the latest news sentstraight to your messages. Langmuir also admitted to sending an image of an erect penis to 'Mollie', encouraging her to masturbate and made reference to his fetish between September and November last year. Sheriff Christopher Dickson placed him on the sex offenders register on an interim basis and deferred sentence for a social work report and a restriction of liberty order assessment to next month. Fiscal depute Clare Green told the court the hunter group had set up both online profiles using decoy names and Langmuir first made contact with them at around 10pm on August 15 last year. The court heard he sent numerous messages to the account telling the '12-year-old child' she was 'cute' and 'pretty." He posted a comment stating 'I've just got a thing about tights - is that bad' and quizzed her on the colour of her underwear. Langmuir then contacted the profile of '14-year-old Mollie' and soon began asking to see pictures of her feet in tights. The depraved contact also saw Langmuir send an image of a penis and asking if wearing tights was part of her school uniform. He also posted links to pornography websites and sent his address to her so the child could post him a pair of her tights. The court was told the hunter group arrived at Langmuir's home at around 6.30pm on November 22 last year and police were soon contacted. The fiscal said during a police interview Langmuir had told officers: 'I thought this was all just role play. I didn't actually believe the girl was under 16."
