‘This is the real me' – Ruth Jones makes Instagram account

The award-winning actress born in Glamorgan is best known for her role in the BBC sitcom Gavin & Stacey.
Despite being appointed a Member of the Order of the British Empire in the 2014 New Year Honours, for services to entertainment, Jones never had an account on Instagram, until now.
Jones said: 'Oh, what's occurring. I'll tell you what's occurring. I'm Ruth Jones. The real Ruth Jones and I have finally decided after many years to go on Instagram.
'The reason is that there are quite a lot of accounts out there pretending to be me, but they are not. This is the real me. So, yeah, I'm starting my Instagram journey, much later than everyone else in the world.
'I'll be sharing a little bit of personal, a little bit of work and sometimes I won't say anything at all. Regardless, this is me. This is where you can find me - ruthjonesgenuine.'
Following the post, fellow celebrities were quick to welcome Jones to the platform.
Amanda Holden said: 'Welcome babe.'
Ruth Langsford wrote: 'From one Ruth to another. Welcome.'
Arlene Phillips added: 'Loving the genuine non fake non-AI, but the real ruthjonesgenuine.'
