If you're planning to upgrade your mattress this year and are keen to improve your sleep, TikTok users are singing the praises of a particular Dusk.com mattress, which you can buy for £229 that will make getting out of bed in the morning a challenge.
The Memory Foam Pocket Sprung Medium/Firm Hybrid Mattress, from Dusk.com, has been creating quite a buzz on social media after one reviewer shared her "amazing" experience with her 56,000 followers on TikTok. Beauty influencer, Erin May Lewis, posted the video on her TikTok last summer, cautioning people against Dusk.com - if they wanted to be punctual in the mornings.
In a video that garnered almost 7,000 likes and was shared more than 1,000 times, Erin warned: "This is a warning from anybody wanting to buy a bed from Dusk.com. Do not do it. You simply will not be able to get out of bed in the morning.

"I have never wanted to stay in bed so much since getting this. We got the mattress from Dusk and the bed, it is genuinely like sleeping on a marshmallow. It's amazing, I can't even tell you. It's so comfy.", reports Devon Live.
"I've not got up once in the morning to walk the dog and it's becoming an issue. It's like sinking sand, once you're in you're not getting out. If you don't want to be lazy, avoid this brand." Love dreamy Welsh homes? Sign up to our newsletter here
Both the 2,000 and 4,000 pocket sprung mattresses are available in Double, King, and Super King sizes, while the 2,000 mattress is also available as a Single mattress size.
Since sharing her experience, Erin's TikTok comments have been inundated with other users also singing the praises of Dusk.com products, with one writing: "Honestly me and my partner are exactly the same, so hard to get up, it's so comfy."
Another added: "I absolutely love my Dusk bed. I've got the exact same as you in black. Heaven."
Indeed, Erin is not the only person to have shared a TikTok review of Dusk.com mattresses, as another account, Lathbury Living, with over 3,000 followers, gave the mattress a similarly glowing review.
In their own video, liked by more than 2,300 people, the account shared: "We got one of the Dusk mattresses to go on our new bed, and we've only slept on it a few nights, but we love it so far. It's really comfy, and it's been really hot the last few days, but I feel like it's kept us loads cooler.
"It came rolled up in a pretty small box, I couldn't quite believe there was a mattress in there, but it was vacuum-sealed, so when we cut into it it just inflated. It took about 24 hours to fully plump up, but it's really filled out now.
"The cover on it is removable as well so you can wash it, which I think is a great feature. We're really happy with it, it was really reasonably priced, and it's been really comfy so far."

The Dusk.com mattress is available with either 2,000 or 4,000 pocket springs, measuring a generous 25cm or 31cm thick, respectively.
These hybrid mattresses consist of either two or four premium layers of pocket springs, and are topped with memory foam for ultimate comfort and pressure relief throughout the night, ensuring your body remains in an optimum position for a restful sleep.
Both mattress options are allergy-friendly and medium-firm, providing edge to edge support, and are encased in a luxuriously textured, breathable outer layer that can be removed via a hidden zip, allowing you to wash it at 30°C, for a consistently clean, fresh mattress.
All Dusk.com mattresses arrive neatly vacuum-packed for easy delivery - simply unroll and watch it expand into your dream bed. Mattresses may take up to 72 hours to fully expand.
Additionally, Dusk.com offers a 100-night sleep trial on all its mattresses, starting from the day of delivery, giving you ample time to ensure the mattress is the perfect fit for you.
It's not just TikTok where people are singing the praises of these mattresses, as both options have received a near-perfect rating of 4.9 stars out of five on the Dusk.com website, from hundreds of reviews.
One satisfied customer wrote: "Honestly, the best mattress I've ever had. The last mattress I owned deformed in shape almost immediately, and about a year in sprung a metal spring that cut me so deep on my calf as I was getting out of bed, I'll have a big ugly scar there for the rest of my life.
"I spent about the same on it as this one, but the difference in quality between the two couldn't be more pronounced. I recommend this mattress 100% without reservation.
"It's firm and supportive, yet soft and comfortable and excellent value for money. I've been having the best nights of sleep of my entire life! I'll be sticking with this brand from now on. Thank you, Dusk."
Another added: "I struggle with a spinal issue and I was very sceptical buying a memory foam bed, as sometimes it can make it worse, but this medium/firm mattress has been an absolute godsend.
"It's soft enough that it's very easy to get super comfortable in, however firm enough that it gives great support. My only struggle now is having to get out of it to go to work."
And a third commented: "I was dubious about getting a mattress online but glad I took the risk. This mattress is so comfy. It's firm but in the right way. It gives you all the support, but it's comfy at the same time. Came rolled up and expanded within a few days."
Indeed, there was minimal criticism on the Dusk.com website regarding the mattress, although one person said: "Very comfy, but if you are near the edge the mattress gives no support so you easily tip/roll off."
Another customer experienced the same issue, stating: "10 days in, and have found this mattress comfortable. Am sleeping well. It was heavy to lift onto my newly assembled, open ottoman base. There is an element of "roll-off" at the edges of this mattress. Still a good buy."
You could also get your hands on the Emma Hybrid Original Mattress from £224.10 right now.

American woman living in the UK reveals the British attitude she finds totally shocking as she says: 'I thought I knew England. I was wrong.'

An American woman living in the UK has revealed the one British attitude that made her question everything she knew about the country. Ellen Ferrara Bencard, who originally hails from the US, shared her observations of UK culture on TikTok, where she racked up more than 50,000 views. Prior to making the move the across the pond, the corporate communications executive, had visited the country as a tourist on a number of occasions, and thought she knew it well. But when she made the official move overseas, there were three things that had her baffled. The first and most shocking, she claimed that the English are 'ignorant of their own history' - with the average person knowing 'very little' of their nation's history and culture. 'Given how dominated my American education was by English history, culture and literature, I assumed the same would be true of everyone. But that's not the case,' she continued. 'I was actually shocked to find that the average English person knew far less about his or her history than I did. 'This was confirmed on Guy Fawkes night when I was working in an English office and I ended up being the one who was educating all the English born and bred people on the origin of the holiday, why and how we celebrate it - go figure.' 'That's not to say there isn't a robust and large minority of history nerds who keep things like podcasts and reenactment weekends going,' she assured. 'But your average English person lives in the modern world probably never steps foot in historic properties or their local museums.' So dedicated to changing that 'ignorance', Ellen said she now makes significant effort to 'drag along' her English friends to visit the 'wonders of their own culture'. Also on her list of surprising components of UK culture was the British attitude towards patriotism. She said: 'The English attitude towards patriotism - generally not cool. Do not fly the flag, do not need to be vocal pride in the English, generally considered a bit tacky and in recent years, associated with racism. 'That was not an association when I moved over but in today's culture wars, that one has really taken off.' However, according to the American native, there are exceptions. These include 'going to an international sporting event', where she observed many Brits will dress head to toe in the Union Jack. She also pointed to royal jubilees and a Last Night of the Proms concert, other instances in which she said you can 'knock yourself out' with symbolism. Thirdly, she said the English have a unique attitude towards success. Describing what she perceived to be the general view, she said: 'Success is okay, but one mustn't be too loud about it. 'Don't be boastful, don't brag. This is difficult for Americans who have been encouraged to shout about every success from the time they are a small child and appreciate anybody being successful. 'That is not the way it is here. In fact, if you're too successful, the English rather love cutting you down. It's called tall poppy syndrome. 'So if you want to get on and you are successful and you need to master humility and self-deprecating humour, that is how you show success. in this country and keep being one of those cut poppies.' Ellen said she has since learned how 'to cope' with them since becoming accustomed with the UK's culture. While many Brits agreed 'tall poppy syndrome', fewer accepted that they don't know about their own history. One said: 'I agree with 1 & 3 Guy Fawkes?? We all know about him. "Remember remember the 5th of November". Gunpowder, treason and plot. A second wrote: 'Depending what kinda school you went to (catholic / CoE etc) learnt differently about if guy fawks was a good or bad guy!! I learnt this as a adult, crazy.' 'I love it when Americans try to educate people about British things and it NEVER comes across as arrogant,' a third wrote.

Scared team-mate found Lions star sat on toilet thinking he was going to die

Scared team-mate found Lions star sat on toilet thinking he was going to die 'I can tell this story, because spoiler alert, he's not dead,' explained Ugo Monye. Andy Powell had a little too much caffeine. (Image: (Photo by)) Former England international Ugo Monye has revealed Andy Powell once "thought he was going to die" after a night out on a British and Irish Lions tour. The former Harlequins flyer told the tale on talkSPORT, with hosts Darren Bent and Andy Goldstein cracking up. ‌ Powell and Monye were teammates on the 2009 Lions tour to South Africa, where the touring side lost 2-1 to the Springboks. Despite going 2-0 down, Sir Ian McGeechan's side were victorious in the third and final match, winning 28-9. Two tries from Shane Williams and one from Monye himself helped seal the win. ‌ A plethora of Welsh players were on that tour, much different to the 2025 edition, which featured only two Welshmen in the initial squad. ‌ Speaking to talkSPORT, Monye revealed that ex-Cardiff star Powell got himself into a right pickle during their celebrations. "I shared a room with a guy called Andy Powell," began Monye, before telling the tale of Powell's golf buggy trip down the M4 to the hosts. "Were you nervous about going to sleep?," asked Goldstein. "100%," replied Monye. Article continues below "I remember on the night of the third Test, we'd just won and it was a brilliant night. "He was just as committed on the pitch as he was to the social side. Everyone knows that Super Sunday is better than Super Saturday. "Generally, before a game you would have a caffeine tablet to get yourself revved up and motivated. He took four of these after the game because he wanted to go through the night. ‌ "So, he had had four caffeine tablets, a bucket load of Red Bulls, and then we got into bed at around three or four. "0.3 seconds later he sat bolt upright, because shock horror, he is having heart palpitations. "I can tell this story, because spoiler alert, he's not dead. ‌ "So, he woke up, having heart palpitations, I'm not in a fit state to manage him and I'm also not a doctor. So I've left the room to try and find our team doctor who was, funnily enough, asleep. There was no one around. I was frightened. "I go back into the room to not even consider what state he might be in. He's sat on the toilet with his phone in his hand, and his screensaver of his dog. And I was like: 'What are you doing?' "He was saying goodbye to his dog because he thought he was going to die." Article continues below "I just wonder what the stories you can't tell are," joked Goldstein, before all three cracked up. In the game itself, it was Monye who crossed for a try, with Wales legend Shane Williams grabbing a brace. Other Welsh internationals in the squad that day were Stephen Jones, Mike Phillips, Matthew Rees, Martyn Williams, Alun Wyn Jones and James Hook, although the latter did not come off the bench.
