Tom Holland Faces Hilarious Hiccup Buying His Own Nonalcoholic Beer
Tom Holland's quest to track down his nonalcoholic beer 'out in the wild' went hilariously awry this week when the 'Spider-Man' actor was barred from completing the purchase for an unexpected reason.
On Tuesday, Holland posted a series of videos to his Instagram Stories in which he was seen dropping by a number of Target stores in search of Bero, the nonalcoholic beer he launched last year.
'So I haven't been in the [United] States for a while,' the English actor explained in one of the videos. 'And I'm gonna go visit some Bero on the shelves, out in the wild.'
After failing to find Bero at two Target stores, Holland seemingly got lucky at a third when he spotted some 12-packs for sale ― that is, until he says he encountered yet another obstacle.
'OK, so success! I found some, I bought it [but] they wouldn't accept my ID because it's English and I couldn't prove my age,' the actor said, hinting he'd gone unrecognized by the store's staff. Fortunately, he said, 'a really lovely employee' ended up coming to his rescue by scanning their own ID.
'Kind of ironic that I wasn't allowed to buy my own product,' he added.

Many retailers require customers to be of legal drinking age before purchasing nonalcoholic drinks, as well as medications such as NyQuil, as both may contain miniscule amounts of alcohol. It's also believed doing so will reduce the risk of selling alcohol to minors, as Heineken, Budweiser and other popular beer brands produce nonalcoholic drinks in similar packaging.
Holland unveiled Bero in the fall of 2024 in hopes of giving sober people like himself a way to 'reintegrate into that social environment where they might feel like they're not necessarily welcome.'
'I felt really passionate about being sober, promoting a healthier lifestyle, making a difference and helping people,' he told Food & Wine in October. 'My first year of sobriety would have been much easier had I had a product like Bero.'
The actor has credited the 2023 Apple TV+ mini-series 'The Crowded Room,' in which he portrayed a teen arrested for a crime he may not have committed, with giving him an impetus to quit drinking alcohol.
'I'm no stranger to the physical aspects of the job doing the whole action-movie thing,' he told Entertainment Weekly. 'But the mental aspect, it really beat me up and it took a long time for me to recover afterwards, to sort of get back to reality.'

Brit Eady, ‘RHOA' Star, Sues Bravo For $20M Over False Oral Sex Photo Shown On Show
Brit Eady of Real Housewives of Atlanta has officially filed a $20,000,000 lawsuit against Bravo, NBCUniversal, and the production companies behind the franchise after she was seemingly exploited on the show for an alleged sex act. The incident dates back to the grand opening of Kenya Moore's hair spa in June 2024, where Moore dramatically revealed posters of a woman performing oral sex during her event. The show framed it as Kenya's clapback amid a feud with Eady, despite Eady not even being present at the party. Viewers and fellow castmates were led to believe that it was Eady in the explicit image. According to Eady's suit, producers allowed that narrative to go on, allegedly refusing to show her the photo even after she requested to see it multiple times. She says Bravo and its partners were either fully aware — or negligent — in allowing the photo to be broadcast with the suggestion that it was her. On Instagram Stories, Eady announced she would not be attending the RHOA reunion, and expressed her emotional state. 'The events of this season have devastated me… I do want to set the record straight about one thing: the graphic sexual photo surrounding the events in Episode 5. That photo was not me,' she wrote. She went on to clarify that she reacted based on what she was told, not what she saw, and only recently viewed the image for the first time — confirming it wasn't her. 'I did not see the photo at the time,' she continued. 'Rather, I was made aware of the photo being presented at the event, and based on what I was told, assumed that it was somehow a photo of me — which is why I reacted in the way that I did.' 'I do not know who was in that photo, but upon seeing it for the first time recently, I now know it was not me,' she continued. While Kenya Moore is not named in the lawsuit, her role in the controversy remains relevant. Moore was suspended from filming for the remainder of Season 16 after an internal investigation, and she later issued a public apology via X on Thursday (June 5). Dakota Johnson Opens Up About Who's To Blame For Marvel's ‘Madame Web' Failure
Dakota Johnson has no regrets about 'Madame Web,' despite the 2024 Marvel superhero film being deemed a critical and commercial flop. In an interview with The Los Angeles Times this week, Johnson said the film's failure 'wasn't my fault' and was, instead, due to 'a lot of creative decisions' made by 'people who don't have a creative bone in their body.' 'It's really hard to make art that way. Or to make something entertaining that way,' she explained. 'And I think unfortunately with 'Madame Web,' it started out as something and turned into something else. And I was just sort of along for the ride at that point. But that happens. The film reportedly cost about $80 million to produce but raked in a measly $25.8 million in its opening week, making it the lowest box office opening in the history of Sony's 'Spider-Man' franchise. Johnson, who returns to the big screen in the romantic comedy 'The Materialists,' has previously hinted at her frustrations with 'Madame Web.' 'Unfortunately, I'm not surprised that this has gone down the way it has,' she told Bustle in March of last year, shortly after the film was released. 'I had never done anything like it before. I probably will never do anything like it again because I don't make sense in that world. And I know that now.'
