
Woman, 82, dies and another in hospital after 'head-on' crash
Emergency services were called to the incident on Saturday afternoon, involving a white Dacia Duster and a black Nissan Micra on the B996 between the A912 Bein Inn Road and Glenfarg.
Both female drivers of the cars were taken to Ninewells Hospital.
Police Scotland said the 82-year-old driver of the Nissan Micra died on Monday, and the 58-year-old driver of the Dacia Duster remains in hospital.
Officers are urging anyone with information regarding the crash to come forward.
Sergeant John McDiarmid said: 'Our enquiries into this collision are ongoing and I am appealing to anyone who was in the area around the time of the crash to get in touch.
'If you have dash-cam, please check the footage for anything of significance. Any information could prove vital as we establish the full circumstances of the incident.'

Terror investigation as man charged over disturbance on flight
A man has been charged in connection with a disturbance on board a flight to Glasgow on Sunday. Police boarded the aircraft, which had travelled from Luton, after it landed in Glasgow at 8.20am and arrested a 41-year-old man. Man due in court after 'disturbance' on Glasgow-bound plane
Just minutes before arrival, pilots declared an emergency due to an incident on board. It is understood that police met the aircraft upon landing and removed a passenger at a remote stand of the airport. Police have said that a 41-year-old man has been arrested and charged after causing a disturbance on a flight. He is set to appear at Paisley Sheriff Court on Monday, July 28. Car deliberately set on fire outside home in early hours
An investigation has been launched after a car was deliberately set on fire outside a home in Cumbernauld in the early hours of the morning. A white Kia Sportage was set alight on Spruce Road around 3am on Sunday. The blaze was extinguished by the fire fighters and no injuries were reported. Police are urging anyone with information on the incident to get in touch. Detective constable David Williamson said: 'Our enquiries are ongoing into this incident, and I am asking anyone who might have been in the area and saw something to get in touch. 'Similarly, anyone in the area with private CCTV or dash-cam footage that might have captured anything that could be useful in our investigation is urged to contact us.'
