Mithoon & Arijit Singh's Dhun from Mohit Suri's Saiyaara enters Spotify Global Top 100, hitting 50M streams and boosting the ₹541 crore blockbuster's success.
Mithoon and Arijit Singh's hauntingly beautiful track Dhun from Mohit Suri's blockbuster Saiyaara has officially entered the Spotify Top 100 Global Charts, securing the #97 position. This milestone makes it the second song from the film to achieve such a feat, further cementing Saiyaara's status as both a commercial and musical juggernaut. The track has already garnered nearly 50 million cumulative streams and has also claimed a spot on the Spotify Viral Global 50, underscoring its global resonance.
A Proven Creative Partnership
The success of Dhun adds another feather to the cap of the celebrated Mithoon–Arijit–Mohit Suri collaboration. The trio has previously delivered some of Bollywood's most cherished melodies, including unforgettable tracks from Aashiqui 2, Ek Villain, Hamari Adhuri Kahani, Malang, and Half Girlfriend. Each project has carried its own distinctive emotional stamp, and Dhun is no exception—combining Mithoon's evocative composition, Arijit's soulful voice, and Suri's cinematic vision.
Reflecting on the achievement, Mithoon shared, 'Creating 'Dhun' was a deeply emotional experience, and seeing it connect with listeners worldwide is immensely rewarding. This milestone is a celebration of Indian music's global potential." Arijit Singh echoed the sentiment, saying, 'Collaborating with Mohit Suri and Mithoon again feels like returning to a creative sanctuary. 'Dhun' embodies that magic and it gives me joy to see that it's been well received." For Mohit Suri, the success is a testament to the synergy between story and soundtrack: 'The success of 'Dhun' and 'Saiyaara' is a testament to the power of storytelling and music. I'm thrilled that our efforts are being celebrated on such a grand scale. And with Mithoon around me, it's never a surprise."
Saiyaara's Cinematic Triumph
Produced by Yash Raj Films, Saiyaara stars newcomers Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda in lead roles and has emerged as one of the biggest hits of 2025. Its global box office collection has soared past ₹541 crore, making it the second-highest-grossing film of the year. The film's storytelling—combined with a powerhouse soundtrack—has made it a cultural phenomenon, attracting audiences far beyond Indian shores.
The accomplishment of Dhun also points to a broader shift in how Bollywood music is being consumed globally. Streaming platforms like Spotify have opened international doors for Indian artists, and tracks like Dhun prove that Hindi cinema's soundscape can resonate universally without losing its authenticity.
As Saiyaara continues to run successfully in theatres, it is set for an even wider reach with its Netflix premiere on September 12. This release will not only bring the film's story to global audiences but also give Dhun and the rest of the soundtrack fresh momentum in the streaming world.
With its blend of commercial success, critical acclaim, and now global streaming recognition, Dhun stands as a proud moment for Indian cinema—reminding the world that Bollywood's music can transcend borders, language, and culture.

‘I wasn't supposed to feel gareeb in India': Dubai vlogger left shocked after Rs 1,000 chai in Mumbai

A Dubai-based Indian travel vlogger has gone viral for something most NRIs can relate to — the shock of returning home and finding India anything but 'cheap.' Parikshit Balochi, a radio presenter and content creator, recently posted a candid Instagram video about how the cost of living back home has left him stunned. His witty yet exasperated rant, especially about a cup of tea that set him back Rs 1,000, has already crossed half a million his video, Balochi confessed that earning in dirhams always gave him the impression that India would be his playground for carefree spending. 'I am an NRI, I was not supposed to feel gareeb (poor) in India,' he said, sounding equal parts amused and frustrated. But instead of feeling wealthy, the inflated bills in Mumbai hotels and cafés have made him rethink the entire NRI privilege. Nothing captured his disbelief better than the price of a humble cup of tea. 'Rs 1,000 is what we used to put on the stock market when I left India. What is happening?' he explained that the unspoken 'deal' NRIs had with India was simple — come home, convert dirhams to rupees, and live like royalty. He said that converting dirhams into rupees was supposed to make him feel richer, not leave him shocked. Instead of showing off his wealth, he now jokes that he might actually need flexible payment plans just to survive the a mix of satire and genuine worry, Balochi ended his rant by pointing out how much money locals must be managing to spend daily. 'Yahan pe logon se puch raha hun, kitna paisa hai bhai tumhare paas,' he said, marvelling at how residents navigate this reality.
