Armie Hammer Says He Tried To Hook Up With A Man After Deciding ‘Women Are The Worst'
Armie Hammer played one half of a gay couple in the Oscar-winning romantic drama 'Call Me by Your Name,' but his real-life attempt at a sexual encounter with another man went considerably less smoothly, he said.
On Monday's episode of 'The Armie HammerTime Podcast,' the disgraced actor confirmed he had 'tried hooking up with a dude one time,' only to find it did 'absolutely nothing' for him physically.
Prior to the encounter, Hammer said, he'd concluded that 'women are the worst.' Notably, numerous women leveledaccusations of rape and physical abuse against him in 2021, although he was not charged.
He also said that 'gay dudes have it so easy' when it comes to navigating sex and dating. As an example, he suggested gay men can be dining at a restaurant and be summoned for a sex act in a restroom only to return minutes later and continue to order from the menu.
'So I was like, 'You know what? I want to give this a try. Like, maybe this actually works for me,' he told actor and mental health coach Dani Druz.
Hammer shared that he'd decided to briefly experiment with his sexuality after meeting a man he described simply as 'handsome' and 'French,' but found himself deterred by the man's facial hair and physical stature.
'I remember I started making out with him and I just remember being like, 'God, beards!'' he recalled. 'I get why women like it when you shave. This thing is fucking rough, how do I get in there?'

Hammer launched 'The Armie HammerTime Podcast' last year as his way of 'chronicling' his efforts toward 'putting my life back together' after his Hollywood career was derailed by scandal.
One of Hammer's accusers shared screenshots of private messages she said were from the actor in which he alluded to an interest in cannibalism and other sadistic fetishes.
Hammer denied any wrongdoing but subsequently checked into a Florida rehab facility for 'drug, alcohol, and sex issues.' In 2023, the Los Angeles District Attorney's office dropped its case against him, citing insufficient evidence.
Appearing on 'The Louis Theroux Podcast' last month, Hammer once again denied the abuse allegations but admitted to being 'a bit of a provocateur' in his private life.
'Did I ever have any intention of cutting anything off of anyone or eating anything off of anyone? No. That was never really anything that I wanted,' he said. 'Was it fun to joke about if I was stoned or drunk or, like, laughing as I was typing these messages? Sure.'

Beyoncé's global impact felt at London shows: 'I've moved to England because of Beyoncé' Beyoncé's "Cowboy Carter" tour is keeping the momentum going in London, with fans from all over the world continuing to flock to the city to witness the international spectacle. The Grammy-winning singer kicked off her June 14 show at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Saturday. The show marked her fifth of six shows at the stadium on her Cowboy Carter and the Rodeo Chitlin' Circuit Tour. Her last show in London is set for June 16, before she heads to Paris for three nights. And while the first U.K. show debuted over a week ago on June 5, fans continue to travel from across the globe, keeping the excitement alive for each show. 'I've moved to England because of Beyoncé' "I've moved to England because of Beyoncé. That was about 15 years ago," says Patrycja Lesiakowska, who attended multiple shows in London along with her best friend from London, Chichi Mbagwu. Lesiakowska says she became a huge fan back when Beyoncé released her 2006 album "B-Day," and she would go on to listen to that album and all the ones that followed on repeat. "I realized that she never came to Poland, and I needed to see Beyoncé live. I needed to witness it. I had a brother that lived in England. So I took my opportunity to move to England to see Beyoncé during 'Sasha Fierce.' And I signed myself up for college, went to university and stayed in England because I loved it," she says. "And I've seen Beyoncé ever since. But the best thing about it, I've also learned English because of Beyoncé." She says she used Google translate to understand her song lyrics and her interviews when she was 15 years old and would eventually learn the language. 'She taught me English' "So she taught me English. She changed my life. I'm here. I met my best friend. I got a career I wanted," Lesiakowska says. "I live in an amazing country and I have the opportunity to see Beyoncé all the time. But we actually follow her all over the world." Mbagwu and and Lesiakowska met through Beyoncé nearly 15 years ago when they both attended a House of Deréon launch in London and have remained friends since. They've attended her shows together over the years and plan to return to the stadium for her final London concert — their 52nd show together. "I feel honored that I'm able to witness it. I think it's such a huge moment and a huge movement," Mbagwu says. And while "Cowboy Carter" is rich with American history, the impact is profound all over the world. "I think it personally resonates a lot because I think there's been a lot of erasure of Black people," Mbagwu says. "A lot of culture comes from Black people, and I think that's kind of lost down the line in terms of, you know, appropriation. The artistry, the message behind the songs and the way she of invokes her art — it's artwork. Genuinely 'Cowboy Carter' is artwork." 'Attending Beyoncé's tour in London felt significant' Other fans traveled from Australia, Italy, the U.S. and everywhere in between. And it's clear no matter what pocket of the world, Beyoncé's impact and messages have not only been heard but felt. "London is a city that carries such a vibrant energy," says Brendan Thomas, who traveled from West Yorkshire, England, for the show. "It's a cultural melting pot where art, music and people collide in the most inspiring ways. Attending Beyoncé's tour in London felt significant because it's one of those cities where the audience truly matches her energy." He added: "The album feels deeply personal and unapologetic like Beyoncé inviting us into her world while reminding us of our own power. It resonates because it's not just music. It's a statement of freedom, resilience and joy." As fans know, Beyoncé first debuted her "Cowboy Carter" tour at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles on April 28 with 39 songs on the set list. Her tour has been filled with family, fashion, different music genres, and most notably country music and cultural commentary. The June 14 show was no different as she debuted more looks and delivered another high-energy show. The nine-city tour will span the U.S. and Europe with the grand finale taking place in Las Vegas on July 26. American Beyoncé fans travel to London for 'Cowboy Carter' tour: Here's why it's worth it Beyoncé Knowles-Carter may have wrapped the first U.S. leg of her "Cowboy Carter" tour, but American fans are still traveling to catch her in concert. While ticket prices may have been one factor, many say witnessing the show on an international stage makes the trip worth it. The Grammy-winning singer kicked off her lastest concert at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on June 14. The show marked her fifth of six shows at the stadium on her Cowboy Carter and the Rodeo Chitlin' Circuit Tour. And the stadium was filled with fans from all around the world with many traveling from the U.S. Mya Stewart has been a longtime Beyoncé fan. Despite the Grammy winner making a tour stop near Stewart's home, she says Saturday's show in London was her first Beyoncé concert — a choice driven by ticket prices. "I'm originally from Bronx, New York, and I came to London for the Beyoncé concert, because It's a lot cheaper than in the States," Stewart says. Meanwhile Jasmine Carmichael and her friend Jasmine Batchelor both traveled from the U.S. to witness Beyoncé perform overseas. The trip was significant for more reasons than one. 'We're from New York and there were different factors that went to us choosing the London show' "We're from New York and there were a couple of different factors that went to us choosing the London show. We just wanted to travel first of all," Carmichael says. "But also, we were in that Ticketmaster war — fighting — and London was the one that won." Batchelor emphasized why it was important for them to attend, and the significance of it being an international show. "There's like a lot of erasure that happens of our culture and for her to actually like show us the roots of it on a worldwide scale is kind of huge," Batchelor says. "Also I'm a girl who grew up in Cobb County, Georgia, and there was country all around me but not a lot of me all around me." 'We learned the do's and don'ts from 'Renaissance'' For U.S. fans like Kalen Graham and Natalia Spyrakos it was less about convenience. They solidified tickets in London by strategizing weeks ahead. "We fought for our lives to get our tickets 100%," Graham says. "But we learned the do's and don'ts from 'Renaissance' so we made it happen." The two friends say the most important factor was experiencing the show together. "I'm from New York. She's from Greece. We are friends from New York. She's since relocated," Graham says. "But this is our opportunity to reconnect, make a trip, enjoy each other, see Beyoncé, get dressed up and have the time of our lives."
