BEML has bagged a Rs 1,888 crore tender for manufacture, supply, testing and commissioning of complete fully functional 600 LHB coaches for the Indian Railways. An independent emergency lighting system will automatically activate in case of accidents, ensuring continued passenger safety. In a filing to the exchanges, BEML reported Rs 64.11 crore consolidated net loss for the first quarter of the fiscal, trimming it from a loss ofRs 70.47 crore in the comparable period of last year. Total income rose to Rs 642.56 crore in the quarter ending June 2025, up from Rs 634.61 crore in the same period last fiscal.
