Dramatic Kickoff with Rock Twists and Massive Dance Vibes
Whoa, talk about a plot twist right out of a thriller! The Boyz kicked off their three-day Seoul bash at the KSPO Dome from August 8 to 10, 2025, but the final day got seriously intense.
Around 1:45 PM on August 10, a fax claiming explosives were planted hit the venue, causing a two-hour delay from 4 PM to 6 PM. Police and firefighters rushed in, evacuating about 300 fans and staff while they scoured the place top to bottom. Spoiler: it was all a hoax-no bombs found, just some bad vibes trying to steal the show. But these guys? They bounced back like pros, turning chaos into fuel for an unforgettable night.
Blasting off with 'Trigger,' they cranked up rock-infused remixes of 'The Stealer' and 'Maverick,' teaming up with dozens of dancers for a mega crew performance that had the crowd roaring louder than ever. 'We've been grinding non-stop to deliver stages you'll never forget-no regrets here!' they hyped, setting the tone for pure adrenaline. The hits kept coming with 'Watch It,' 'Roar,' and 'Ain't Salty,' keeping everyone on their toes.
Then came the unit stages that stole hearts: Sunwoo and Eric sliding smooth with 'Honey,' Jacob, Juyeon, Kevin, Sunwoo, and Eric jamming on 'Feel The Bass,' and the fresh debut choreography for 'bAd.' These bite-sized moments felt like insider secrets, adding layers of fun and connection that made the massive arena feel intimate.
Cooling Down the Heat with Fresh Beats and High-Octane Thrills
Shifting gears to shake off that summer steam, The Boyz dropped into cooler territory with tracks like 'Fantasy Confession,' 'Hurt Me Less,' and 'Nectar,' bringing a refreshing wave that had fans swaying and smiling.
The real gem? A brand-new band unit track called 'Dazzling Together, Clumsy but Beautiful' from Jacob, Younghoon, Kevin, New, and Q-it's the kind of feel-good tune that sticks in your head long after the lights go out, blending clumsy charm with sparkling harmony.
Living up to their rep as the ultimate 'performance powerhouse,' they ramped it back up with fierce numbers like 'Stylish,' 'Bite Back,' and 'Breaking Dawn,' where the energy was so electric it could light up the city.
The climax hit with the world-premiere of Hyunjae, Sunwoo, and Juyeon's 'Tiger' stage, all fierce moves and laser-sharp sync that left jaws on the floor. As things wound down, they powered through 'Thrill Ride,' 'D.D.D,' and 'Aura,' and on the first night, they snuck in a birthday cake surprise for Younghoon, turning the vibe all warm and fuzzy amid the high-stakes action.
It was like a perfect mix of edge-of-your-seat excitement and those sweet, unexpected feels that make live shows legendary.
Encore Emotions and Turning Chaos into Shared Victory
The encore? Absolute magic as the crowd's chants pulled them back onstage for 'Breath (Horizon),' 'All About You,' and 'Love! We've Already Crossed the Line.' They got real, sharing, 'We had tons of worries prepping this, but your energy flips it all-thanks for loving it exactly how we dreamed!' And that heartfelt closer: 'The show's wrapping, but we're in your corner for all those everyday battles.' They sealed it with 'Julie's Law (Fantasize),' and on the last night, threw in extras like 'Timeless' and 'Fire Eyes' for that extra punch of emotion.
This wasn't your average gig-it was the launch of their fourth world tour, loaded with clever details like those rock rearrangements, epic crew dances, top-notch videos, and custom logos for every song that screamed attention to detail. Fans matched the intensity with non-stop cheers, making it a collective win. Oh, and amid all that, they navigated member Ju Haknyeon's exit for personal reasons plus that bomb scare like total champs, showing off resilience that's straight-up inspiring for anyone facing curveballs.
Future Flames and Why This Tour's a Game-Changer
With Seoul locked down, The Boyz are charging ahead to Yokohama's Pia Arena on August 23, then hitting spots like Nagoya, Kobe, Tokyo, and beyond across Asia and the US. It's all about spreading that global fire, proving music's power to connect and uplift, especially when life throws hoaxes your way. No specific ticket deets here, but these shows are known for packing value with their high-production flair-definitely worth catching if you're into that non-stop K-pop rush.

Mega music event in Thiruvananthapuram on August 15

On August 15, Thiruvananthapuram will sing for the nation. It is the 79th Independence Day and Kanakakunnu Palace grounds will reverberate with the voices of 1,200 singers at 'Thalasthanam Deshathinaayi Paadunnu' (The capital singing for the nation), an initiative of Paattinte Koottukaar, a charity for music. 'The singers will render two songs that every Indian knows – 'Saare Jahaan Se Achcha' and 'Jana Gana Mana',' says Nayas Elias, who heads Paattinte Koottukaar, which has been conducting music sessions at institutions that house cancer patients and their carers and at old age homes in the city. 'They will be dressed in white and wear caps in the colours of the national flag. Our idea is to sing for the country in a national flag formation,' he says, adding that the event is also an attempt at entering the Talent Book of World Records. Two hundred and twenty NCC cadets will also be singing with this group. Nayas adds that he got the idea after Paattinte Koottukaar conducted a music programme featuring 122 singers on December 25 last year in connection with the 100th birth anniversary of Mohammed Rafi at the flower show. Preparations started in January and they held programmes at the Poojappura Central Jail and Shanghumugham beach on January 26 with 79 singers of the forum to test if they could pull it off. 'It was an ambitious move. We officially invited the 80-odd music clubs and forums in the city, to allow their members to be part of this. While many refused, several others extended their support. And from just 13 singers at our first practice session held at Priyadarshini Hall, East Fort, the numbers grew as word got around,' he says. Once the registration (free) began, participants were split into groups headed by 48 coordinators. 'There are people from all walks of life, irrespective of age and gender, from daily-wage labourers, homemakers, professionals and retirees to government officials. While most of them are singers, both trained and untrained, the others are in it because they wanted to be part of the initiative,' Nayas adds. Gandhi Bhavan, Thycaud, and Sree Chithira Thirunal Auditorium, Poojappura, gave space for them to conduct rehearsals. Besides Nayas, training sessions are led by B Venugopalan Nair, the 84-year-old music exponent and patron of Paattinte Kottukaar, which currently has over 300 members. 'The biggest challenge for us was that many of them were either singing the wrong lyrics or pronouncing the words incorrectly. We had to rectify that and have succeeded to some extent,' Nayas says. Jameela Beevi, a retired government employee and one of the singers, says, 'I am not a trained singer. When I heard about the programme I felt I should be a part of it. We are Indians and this is my way of giving back to the nation.' Many, like Shalin Sha, who was with her mother, Shimna, turned up for practice with their family. Prince NP and his family had come all the way from Kodungalloor in Thrissur district. 'I work in Qatar and am on leave now. I am participating with my parents, elder sister and two of my mother's friends. When we came across announcements about the programme, we wanted to join it, especially because we all sing. And distance did not matter,' says Prince. The programme begins at Kanakakkunnu grounds on August 15 at 5pm.

Abhinav Shukla recalls what YRF casting director Shanoo Sharma told him: 'You are good looking but...'

Popular television actor Abhinav Shukla recalled an audition during his early days in the film industry, which left a huge impact on him. He took to the stories section of his Instagram handle and revealed that back in 2014, when his film 'Roar' was about to release, he met with Yash Raj Films' prominent casting director Shanoo Sharma, who told him that while he was good looking, he lacked 'spark.' He described the entire incident via a note that read: 'When my movie Roar was slated to release back in the day i was cajoled by my well-wishers to go meet Yash Raj Films 's casting director. I did and she told me: 'You are a good looking guy but that's it, spark is missing, you can audition but…(sic)'' However, years later, Abhinav had a very different conversation with the renowned filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali. He shared that he was auditioning for Bhansali's ambitious project 'Inshallah', which ultimately got shelved, but his conversation with the filmmaker stayed with him. 'Few years down the line i was sitting face to face with Sanjay Leela Bhansali Sir for his next Inshaallah. I remember SLB was all praise, all appreciative and asked me many times 'How come you haven't worked so much? I saw the audition, you are super talented. The movie got shelved, my destiny took a turn!' Abhinav added. Tagging 'Mirzapur' fame actress Isha Talwar, he penned, 'I can relate, and i think insults are an opportunity to meet the people who value your talent & time!,' Recently, Isha disclosed that she was once asked to cry during an audition taking place in the middle of a restaurant. Finding the request bizarre, she decided to walk away from the audition; however, admittedly, the incident managed to jolt her confidence.
