The Aces and Fever are meeting for the third time this season. The Fever defeated the Aces 81-54 in their last matchup on July 3.
A'ja Wilson and the Las Vegas Aces picked up their third straight win — an 87-72 victory over the Atlanta Dream on Tuesday night. Wilson finished with a team-high 24 points and 12 rebounds. The three-time WNBA MVP is currently averaging 22.4 points, 9.3 rebounds, and 3.3 assists per game.
Jackie Young and Dana Evans each added 14 points in the win, while NaLyssa Smith finished with 11 points and 4 rebounds.

The Fever dropped their second straight game, falling 98-84 to the Liberty in Brooklyn on Tuesday night. Indiana led 46-42 at halftime, but New York ran away with the lead in the fourth quarter.
Kelsey Mitchell led the Fever with 29 points. Aliyah Boston added 15 points and a team-high 12 rebounds, while Sophie Cunningham also finished with 15 points.
Caitlin Clark, who is still dealing with a right groin injury, has missed the last two Fever games and did not play during All-Star weekend. No timetable has been given for her return.

Sparks star Cameron Brink returns from ACL injury, drains 3-pointer immediately in loss to Aces
More than a year after an ACL tear ruined her rookie season in the WNBA, Cameron Brink finally returned to the court on Tuesday night. Brink made her season debut with the Los Angeles Sparks in their 89-74 loss to the Las Vegas Aces on Tuesday at Arena, marking her first game action in nearly 13 months. Brink wasn't in the starting lineup on Tuesday, but she received a huge ovation from fans when she checked into the game late in the first quarter. She didn't waste any time, either, and immediately drilled a 3-pointer on her first attempt of the night. That, though, was about all Brink did. She took two other shot attempts from behind the arc and ended up finishing with three rebounds and an assist to go with her five points. The other two came from the free throw line in the fourth quarter. She only played about 13 minutes, too, while easing back into things. Brink first went down with the knee injury during a loss to the Connecticut Sun last June, just 15 games into her WNBA career. The former No. 2 overall pick had to be carried off the floor, and the team quickly confirmed that her ACL was torn. Brink has been sidelined ever since. Brink revealed on Saturday that she had been medically cleared to play again, and she started ramping up her activity quickly ahead of Tuesday's contest. Brink's return, however, wasn't enough to slow down A'ja Wilson and the Aces. Wilson dropped 34 points, 17 of which came in the first quarter alone, to lead them to the dominant 15-point win. She had 10 rebounds and shot 16-of-23 from the field, too. Jackie Young put up her first career triple-double with 18 points, 11 rebounds and 10 assists. It marked the fifth triple-double across the league this season, and the second in as many days following Skylar Diggins' on Monday night against the Connecticut Sun. Kelsey Plum led the Sparks with 22 points and eight assists in the loss, which snapped a five-game win streak. Rae Burrell put up 17 points and six rebounds off the bench, and Dearica Hamby finished with 15 points. Though it may take a bit for Brink to settle back in, she's at least finally in a spot to play again after a lengthy rehab derailed the start of her career.

Should Nets' Drew Timme been on one of the All-summer league teams?
Brooklyn Nets center Drew Timme was arguably the best player for the Nets in the 2025 NBA Las Vegas Summer League that happened earlier this month. Timme not only showed that what he did last season was not a fluke, but he also showed Brooklyn that he's ready to contribute. Timme did not make either of the All-Summer League teams, but maybe he should have. "Timme was (expletive) amazing at summer league. I thought Timme was the best like offensive big I saw at Summer League. Just point blank," The Athletic's Sam Vecenie said on his "Game Theory" podcast. Vecenie, along with his co-host Bryce Simon of Motor City Hoops, was discussing how Brooklyn's rookies performed in the summer league before getting pleasantly sidetracked while talking about Timme. "I thought Timmy was (expletive) unbelievable. We have an all summer league team snub in Drew Timme. Drew Timme was so (expletive) good at summer league, guys," Vecenie continued. "Timme had 22 (points), 30, and 24. We'll talk about him tomorrow, but I thought he was so good. I thought him and Flip (Utah Jazz forward Kyle Filipowski), like they were the two guys, and I thought he was like a little bit more efficient than Flip. It was awesome. He was so good." To Vecenie's point, Timme seemingly performed like one of the best players in Las Vegas when you look at his production that he put up in just three games worth of action. Timme played 30.7 minutes per game and averaged 25.3 points, 8.0 rebounds, and 2.7 assists per game while shooting 55.4% from the field and 21.4% from behind the three-point line. Despite what Timme did, he did not make either of the two NBA All-Summer League teams, an action that feels like the league snubbing the former Gonzaga Bulldog. Timme's performance was so convincing that former NBA center Kendrick Perkins posted on X that Timme should be getting real minutes in the NBA for some team if not the Nets. Timme's performance in Sin City could be the start of him having his breakout season in the NBA.
