Moses field goal sinks Cowboys in NRL thriller
Both sides went into Sunday's clash out of finals contention but played as if they were fighting for a playoff spot, trading tries and taking the game right to the death.
Somewhat fittingly in the final game of the NRL's Indigenous Round, a pair of tries to Josh Addo-Carr boosted the Eels.
But it was Moses' kicking game and one-pointer that ultimately made the difference.

The Cowboys looked to have snatched an unlikely victory in the last 30 seconds when Jake Clifford crossed but the try was disallowed by the bunker for interference on Moses as he moved to tackle.
The win was another step forward in the rebuild under Jason Ryles and moved the Eels four points clear of Gold Coast at the bottom of the ladder with four matches to play, while the loss for the Cowboys increases the pressure on coach Todd Payten.
Zac Lomax opened the scoring for the Eels with a penalty goal in the sixth minute, but it was the Cowboys' Jaxon Purdue who grabbed the first try of the game 15 minutes in, pouncing on a kick from Clifford after Zac Lomax slipped in pursuit.
Addo-Carr then grabbed his double within six minutes, the latter from a deft Moses grubber, to put Parramatta up 12-8 after an entertaining first half.
It took just three minutes of the second half for the Eels to extend their lead when Will Penisini touched down, but the Cowboys returned serve when Braidon Burns scored after an intercept from Semi Valemei.
Two minutes later impressive Eels fullback Joash Papali'i spilled a bomb and Purdue capitalised to lock things up at 18-all, before Moses' heroics decided the outcome.
For the Cowboys, Jason Taumalolo and Coen Hess were immense in the middle, turning back the clock with their punishing running.
Hess might be in trouble with the match review committee, however, put on report early in the game for a dangerous tackle, diving at the legs of an already wrapped up Papali'i.
There was another controversy involving a trainer late in the game when the North Queensland orange shirt runner got in the way of play after an Eels kick down field was fumbled by the Cowboys.
The ball ricocheted onto the trainer and referee Liam Kennedy stopped play but there was no direct impact on a scoring opportunity.
The trainer was later seen on the sideline in conversation with the NRL's ground manager.

South African cricket legend AB de Villiers has questioned why one of the IPL teams - including Ricky Ponting's Punjab Kings - didn't recognise Dewald Brevis' talent and pick him up in the tournament's auction. Storm rocked by news about Papenhuyzen as Warriors make call on Jett Cleary debut
The Melbourne Storm have been hit with a brutal blow heading into the NRL grand final rematch against the Panthers with Ryan Papenhuyzen ruled out, while the Warriors shut down speculation around Jett Cleary's NRL debut. Papenhuyzen recently returned after four weeks out with a calf strain to play help boost the Storm with two wins over the Eels and the Brisbane Broncos. Papenhuyzen scored against the Broncos and was back to his best having combined with Harry Grant and Cameron Munster as the Storm look to chase down the Canberra Raiders for the minor premiership. Fans were excited for a battle of the in-form fullbacks this week with Dylan Edwards and Papenhuyzen set for a tantalising showdown. The reigning Dally M medallist dislocated his shoulder in the game against the Eels and was set to miss the remainder of the regular season. While there has been speculation Hughes could make a return earlier, Bellamy attempted to quell expectations. 'I don't think we're any wiser than we were last week,' he said about Hughes' return. 'He seems to be coming on pretty well and the physios are happy with the way he's coming on, so hopefully we'll get him back sooner rather than later. I'd just love to see him play a game before the finals to be quite honest, so we'll just see how that goes. We've got four weeks before the finals now, so we'll just see what happens." In good news for the Storm, Bellamy could welcome back prop Nelson Asofa-Solomona after he was named on the extended bench. The forward played in the Queensland Cup last week following a two-week suspension. Webster has since made a number of changes to his halves as he looks to stop the poor run of form. The Warriors have been leapfrogged by the Penrith Panthers and lost their spot in the NRL's top-four after a disastrous 32-14 loss to Canterbury. To make matters worse, Te Maire Martin copped a head knock after just 23 minutes and was deemed to have suffered a category-one concussion, ruling him out of the Dragons clash. There were calls for Cleary to come into the side due to his form in NSW Cup. However, Webster refrained from handing Cleary his debut having recalled Tanah Boyd to the side. Boyd was dropped against the Bulldogs, but has bounced back up to the NRL in a vital game for the Warriors.
