According to a confidential Pakistani dossier on its internal military Operation 'Bunyan un Marsoos', at least eight more of its locations suffered damage in the Indian strikes. A map in the dossier shows Indian strikes in Pakistan damaged structures in Peshawar, Jhang, Hyderabad in Sindh, Gujrat in Punjab, Gujranwala, Bhawalnagar, Attock, and Chor, on the intervening night of May 9 and 10. The mentioned eight locations were not mentioned by the Indian Armed Forces during the press briefings held after the May 7 counteroffensive. Another map revealed locations struck by India on the intervening night of May 7 and 8. Sarma pointed out that even if China were to 'reduce water flow (unlikely as China has never threatened or indicated in any official forum), it may actually help India mitigate the annual floods in Assam, which displace lakhs and destroy livelihoods every year'. 'Meanwhile, Pakistan, which has exploited 74 years of preferential water access under the Indus Water Treaty, now panics as India rightfully reclaims its sovereign rights,' he said. Sarma claimed that Brahmaputra is a river that grows in India and does not shrink. He pointed out that China contributes only 30-35 per cent of the Brahmaputra's total flow — mostly through glacial melt and limited Tibetan rainfall. The remaining 65-70 per cent is 'generated within India, thanks to the torrential monsoon rainfall in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Nagaland, and Meghalaya'. Major tributaries like Subansiri, Lohit, Kameng, Manas, Dhansiri, Jia-Bharali, Kopili also contribute to it while additional inflow comes in from the Khasi, Garo, and Jaintia Hills via rivers such as Krishnai, Digaru, and Kulsi, Sarma said. 'At the India-China border (Tuting), the flow of the river is ~2,000-3,000 m³/s while in the plains of Assam like Guwahati, the flow swells to 15,000-20,000 m³/s during monsoon,' he added. The Brahmaputra is not a river India depends on upstream — it is a rain-fed Indian river system, strengthened after entering Indian territory, Sarma said. 'Brahmaputra is not controlled by a single source — it is powered by our geography, our monsoon, and our civilisational resilience,' he added. BJP MP Alok Sharma accuses Bhopal's Muslim gym trainers of ‘love jihad', fuelling Bajrang Dal's campaign
Speaking to the media Sunday, Sharma said, 'There are many gyms in Bhopal and we are also preparing a list where the trainers are allegedly Muslims. There should be women trainers too.' Sharma's statement came just days after members of the Bajrang Dal visited gyms in Bhopal's Ayodhya Nagar locality, searching for Muslim trainers. They later submitted a memorandum to the Ayodhya Nagar Police Station, alleging that Muslim trainers in the city's gyms are involved in 'love jihad'. Here's what happened Muslim gym trainers face heat The crackdown on gym trainers in Bhopal began after a Muslim man, identified as Mohsin Khan, was booked by Indore Police on charges of sexual misconduct. Khan, who runs a private shooting range in Indore, was booked along with two others following allegations by a minor girl accusing them of rape, cheating, and molestation. According to the minor, she began working at Khan's house during the pandemic. She alleged that she was raped, shown obscene videos, and held captive for about 15 days. Last week, members of the Bajrang Dal visited several gyms in Bhopal, asking those working out to disclose their names and identities. Later that day, they submitted a memorandum to the police, demanding action against 'outsiders' who, they alleged, entered the city posing as Hindu men to befriend Hindu women as part of a 'love jihad' campaign. Following reports of these visits, Sub-Inspector Dinesh Sharma was deployed to monitor the situation and ensure there was no law-and-order issue. However, a video later surfaced showing the sub-inspector sitting with Bajrang Dal members, saying that Muslims should neither be hired as gym trainers nor be allowed in as clients. After the video came to light, he was transferred from the police station and attached to the reserve force. Speaking to The Print, Mahesh Lilhare, State House Office at Ayodhya Nagar, said, 'After the video came to our knowledge, an inquiry was initiated. As of now, Dinesh Sharma has denied making any such remarks and the authenticity of the video is under investigation.'
